1 Kodwa yazi lokhu, ukuthi ensukwini zokucina kuzafika izikhathi ezinzima.

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 Ngoba abantu bazakuba ngabazithandayo, abathanda imali, abazikhukhumezayo, abazigqajayo, abahlambazayo, abangalaleli abazali, abangabongiyo, abangangcwele,

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 abangelathando ngemvelo, abangelakuxoliswa, abahlebayo, abangazikhuziyo, abalolaka, abangathandi okuhle,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 abanikela abanye, abalamawala, abazikhukhumezayo, abathanda intokozo kulokuthanda uNkulunkulu,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of YHWH;

5 abalesimo sokukhonza uNkulunkulu, kodwa amandla akho bewaphika; labanjalo baxwaye.

Having a form of reverence, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 Ngoba okuvela kubo labo ngabanyenyela ezindlini, njalo bathumbe abesifazana ababuthakathaka abasindwa yizono, bebuswa zinkanuko eziyinhlobonhlobo,

9 Kodwa kabayikuqhubekela phambili; ngoba ubuthutha babo buzakuba sobala kubo bonke, njengoba kwaba njalo lakobabo.

But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

11 ukuzingelwa, izinhlupheko, njengalokhu okwangehlela eAntiyoki, eIkoniyuma, eListra, ukuzingelwa okunjani engakuthwalayo; njalo kukho konke iNkosi yangophula.

Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all YHWH delivered me.

Yea, and all that will live reverently in Yahushua the Messiah shall suffer persecution.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 Kodwa wena mana kulezozinto ozifundileyo lowaqiniseka kuzo, usazi ukuthi uzifunde kubani,

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 lokuthi kusukela ebuntwaneni wayazi imibhalo engcwele, elamandla okukuhlakaniphisa kube sesindisweni ngokholo olukuKristu Jesu.

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Yahushua the Messiah.

16 Wonke umbhalo waphefumulelwa nguNkulunkulu, njalo ulungele imfundiso, ukukhalimela, ukuqondisa, ukufundisa okusekulungeni;

All scripture is given by inspiration of YHWH, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 ukuze umuntu kaNkulunkulu aphelele, alungisiselwe wonke umsebenzi omuhle.

That the man of YHWH may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
