1 Basebewuletha umtshokotsho kaNkulunkulu, bawumisa phakathi kwethente uDavida ayelimisele wona; basebenikela iminikelo yokutshiswa leminikelo yokuthula phambi kukaNkulunkulu.
And they bring in the Ark of God, and set it up in the midst of the tent that David has stretched out for it, and they bring burnt-offerings and peace-offerings near before God;
2 UDavida eseqedile ukunikela umnikelo wokutshiswa leminikelo yokuthula wababusisa abantu ebizweni leNkosi.
and David ceases from offering the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings, and blesses the people in the Name of YHWH,
3 Wasesabela wonke umuntu wakoIsrayeli kusukela kowesilisa kuze kube kowesifazana, kwaba ngulowo lalowo isinkwa esisodwa, leqatha lenyama, lesinkwa sezithelo zevini ezonyisiweyo.
and gives a portion to every man of Israel, both man and woman: to each a cake of bread, and a measure of wine, and a grape-cake.
4 Wasemisa izikhonzi kumaLevi phambi komtshokotsho weNkosi, ngitsho ukukhumbula lokubonga lokudumisa iNkosi, uNkulunkulu kaIsrayeli.
And he puts before the Ark of YHWH, those ministering from the Levites, even to make mention of, and to thank, and to give praise to YHWH, God of Israel:
5 UAsafi inhloko, lowesibili kuye uZekhariya, uJeyiyeli, loShemiramothi, loJehiyeli, loMathithiya, loEliyabi, loBhenaya, loObedi-Edoma, loJeyiyeli belezinto zezigubhu zezintambo njalo lamachacho; uAsafi wasezizwakalisa ngezinsimbi ezincencethayo;
Asaph the head, and his second Zechariah; Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, with instruments of psalteries, and with harps; and Asaph is sounding with cymbals;
6 loBhenaya loJahaziyeli abapristi ngezimpondo njalonjalo phambi komtshokotsho wesivumelwano sikaNkulunkulu.
and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests [are] continually [sounding] with trumpets before the Ark of the Covenant of God.
7 Ngalesosikhathi ngalolosuku uDavida wanika kuqala lesisihlabelelo ukudumisa iNkosi ngesandla sikaAsafi labafowabo:
On that day, at that time, David has given at the beginning to give thanks to YHWH by the hand of Asaph and his brothers:
8 Bongani iNkosi, libize ibizo layo, lazise phakathi kwabantu izenzo zayo.
“Give thanks to YHWH, call on His Name, Make His doings known among the peoples.
9 Hlabelelani kuyo, liyihubele amahubo, lilandise ngezenzo zayo ezimangalisayo.
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him, Meditate on all His wonders.
10 Zincomeni ebizweni layo elingcwele, kayithokoze inhliziyo yabo abadinga iNkosi.
Boast yourselves in His Holy Name, The heart of those seeking YHWH rejoices.
11 Dingani iNkosi lamandla ayo, lidinge ubuso bayo njalonjalo.
Seek YHWH and His strength, Seek His face continually.
12 Khumbulani izimangaliso zayo eyazenzayo, izibonakaliso zayo, lezahlulelo zomlomo wayo,
Remember His wonders that He did, His signs, and the judgments of His mouth,
13 nzalo kaIsrayeli inceku yayo, bantwana bakaJakobe, abakhethiweyo bayo.
O seed of Israel, His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!
14 IyiNkosi uNkulunkulu wethu; izahlulelo zayo zisemhlabeni wonke.
He [is] our God YHWH, His judgments [are] in all the earth.
15 Khumbulani isivumelwano sayo kuze kube nininini, ilizwi eyalilaya kuzinkulungwane zezizukulwana,
Remember His covenant for all time, The word He commanded—To one thousand generations,
16 eyasenza loAbrahama, lesifungo sakhe kuIsaka,
Which He has made with Abraham, And His oath—to Isaac,
17 eyasiqinisa lakuJakobe saba yisimiso, kuIsrayeli saba yisivumelwano esilaphakade,
And He establishes it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel [for] a perpetual covenant,
18 isithi: Ngizakunika ilizwe leKhanani, inkatho yelifa lakho.
Saying, To you I give the land of Canaan, The portion of your inheritance,
19 Lapho lalibalutshwana ngenani, yebo libalutshwana, njalo liyizihambi kulo.
When you were few in number, As a little thing, and sojourners in it.
20 Basebezula besuka esizweni besiya esizweni, besuka embusweni besiya kwabanye abantu.
And they go up and down, From nation to nation, And from a kingdom to another people.
21 Kayivumelanga muntu ukubacindezela; yebo yakhuza amakhosi ngenxa yabo:
He has not permitted any to oppress them, And reproves kings on their account:
22 Lingathinti abagcotshiweyo bami, lingoni abaprofethi bami.
Do not come against My anointed ones, And do no evil against My prophets.
23 Hlabelelani eNkosini, mhlaba wonke, litshumayele insuku ngensuku usindiso lwayo.
Sing to YHWH, all the earth, Proclaim His salvation from day to day.
24 Landisani udumo lwayo phakathi kwezizwe, izimangaliso zayo phakathi kwabantu bonke.
Recount His glory among nations, His wonders among all the peoples.
25 Ngoba yinkulu iNkosi, ifanele ukudunyiswa kakhulu, iyesabeka phezu kwabonkulunkulu bonke.
For great [is] YHWH, and greatly praised, And He [is] fearful above all gods.
26 Ngoba bonke onkulunkulu bezizwe bayizithombe; kodwa iNkosi yenza amazulu.
For all gods of the peoples [are] nothing, And YHWH has made the heavens.
27 Udumo lenkazimulo kuphambi kwayo, amandla lentokozo kusendaweni yayo.
Splendor and majesty [are] before Him, Strength and joy [are] in His place.
28 Inikeni iNkosi, zizukulwana zezizwe, inikeni iNkosi udumo lamandla.
Ascribe to YHWH, you families of peoples, Ascribe to YHWH glory and strength.
29 Inikeni iNkosi udumo lwebizo layo, lethani umnikelo lize phambi kwayo. Ikhonzeni iNkosi ebuhleni bobungcwele.
Ascribe to YHWH the glory of His Name, Lift up a present, and come before Him. Bow yourselves to YHWH, In the beauty of holiness.
30 Lithuthumele phambi kwayo, mhlaba wonke; njalo umhlaba uzaqiniswa, kawuyikunyikinyeka.
Be pained before Him, all the earth; Also, the world is established, It is not moved!
31 Kawathokoze amazulu, lomhlaba ujabule, kabatsho phakathi kwezizwe ukuthi: INkosi iyabusa.
The heavens rejoice, and the earth is glad, And they say among nations, YHWH has reigned!
32 Kaluhlokome ulwandle lokugcwala kwalo, iganga kalithabe lakho konke okukulo.
The sea roars, and its fullness, The field exults, and all that [is] in it,
33 Khona zizahlabelela ngentokozo izihlahla zehlathi phambi kweNkosi, ngoba iyeza ukwahlulela umhlaba.
Then trees of the forest sing, From the presence of YHWH, For He has come to judge the earth!
34 Bongani iNkosi ngoba ilungile, ngoba umusa wayo umi kuze kube phakade.
Give thanks to YHWH, for [He is] good, For His kindness [is] for all time,
35 Lithi futhi: Sisindise, Nkulunkulu wosindiso lwethu, usibuthe usikhulule ezizweni, ukuze sibonge ibizo lakho elingcwele, sizincome kudumo lwakho.
And say, Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us, and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks to Your Holy Name, To triumph in Your praise.
36 Kayibusiswe iNkosi, uNkulunkulu kaIsrayeli, kusukela phakade kuze kube phakade. Bonke abantu basebesithi: Ameni. Basebeyidumisa iNkosi.
Blessed [is] YHWH, God of Israel, From age to age”; And all the people say, “Amen,” and have given praise to YHWH.
37 Wasetshiya lapho phambi komtshokotsho wesivumelwano seNkosi oAsafi labafowabo ukukhonza phambi komtshokotsho njalonjalo njengodaba losuku ngosuku lwalo.
And he leaves there [those] of Asaph and of his brothers, before the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH, to minister before the Ark continually, according to the matter of a day in its day;
38 LoObedi-Edoma kanye labafowabo, abangamatshumi ayisithupha lesificaminwembili; uObedi-Edoma indodana kaJeduthuni loHosa babengabagcini bamasango.
both Obed-Edom and their sixty-eight brothers, and Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, for gatekeepers;
39 LoZadoki umpristi labafowabo abapristi phambi kwethabhanekele leNkosi endaweni ephakemeyo eyayiseGibeyoni,
and Zadok the priest, and his brothers the priests, before the Dwelling Place of YHWH, in a high place that [is] in Gibeon,
40 ukuze banikele iminikelo yokutshiswa eNkosini phezu kwelathi lomnikelo wokutshiswa njalonjalo ekuseni lakusihlwa, lanjengakho konke okubhaliweyo emlayweni weNkosi, eyawulaya uIsrayeli.
to cause burnt-offerings to ascend continually to YHWH on the altar of burnt-offering, morning and evening, and for all that is written in the Law of YHWH that He charged on Israel.
41 Njalo kanye labo oHemani loJeduthuni labanye ababekhethiwe abamiswa ngamabizo ukubonga iNkosi, ngoba umusa wayo umi kuze kube phakade.
And with them [are] Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest of those chosen, who were defined by name, to give thanks to YHWH, for His kindness [is] for all time;
42 Njalo kanye labo oHemani loJeduthuni babelezimpondo lezinsimbi ezincencethayo zalabo abazizwakalisayo, lezinto zokuhlabelela zikaNkulunkulu. Lamadodana kaJeduthuni ayesesangweni.
and with them—Heman and Jeduthun—[are] trumpets and cymbals for those sounding, and instruments of the song of God, and the sons of Jeduthun [are] at the gate.
43 Basebehamba bonke abantu, ngulowo lalowo waya endlini yakhe. UDavida wasebuyela ukubusisa indlu yakhe.
And all the people go, each to his house, and David turns around to bless his house.
