Isambulo 16
1 Ngezwa ilizwi elikhulu livelela ethempelini lisithi ezingilosini eziyisikhombisa, “Hambani, lithululele emhlabeni imiganu eyisikhombisa yolaka lukaNkulunkulu.”
I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth."
2 Ingilosi yakuqala yahamba yathululela umganu wayo emhlabeni kwasekuphihlika izilonda ezenyanyekayo njalo ezibuhlungu ebantwini ababelophawu lwesilo njalo bekhonza umfanekiso waso.
The first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became a harmful and evil sore on the people who had the mark of the beast, and who worshiped his image.
3 Ingilosi yesibili yathululela umganu wayo olwandle lwaphenduka lwaba ligazi elinjengelomuntu ofileyo, kwathi yonke into ephilayo esolwandle yafa.
The second one poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of a corpse. And every living thing in the sea died.
4 Ingilosi yesithathu yathululela umganu wayo emifuleni lasemithonjeni yamanzi yaba ligazi.
The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
5 Ngasengisizwa ingilosi eyayingumphathi wamanzi isithi: “Ulungile ngalezizahlulelo, wena oNgcwele wena okhona lowayekhona,
I heard the angel of the waters saying, "You are righteous, who is and who was, the Holy One, because you have judged these things.
6 ngoba bachitha igazi labangcwele bakho lelabaphrofethi, ngakho ubanike igazi ukuba balinathe njengokubafaneleyo.”
For they poured out the blood of the saints and the prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this."
7 Ngezwa i-alithari liphendula lisithi: “Yebo, Nkosi Nkulunkulu Somandla, ziqotho njalo zilungile lezi zahlulelo zakho.”
I heard the altar saying, "Yes, Lord God of hosts, true and righteous are your judgments."
8 Ingilosi yesine yathululela umganu wayo elangeni, ilanga laseliphiwa amandla okutshisa abantu ngomlilo.
The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch people with fire.
9 Bosiwa yikutshisa okukhulu kwelanga njalo balithuka ibizo likaNkulunkulu, owayelamandla phezu kwezifo lezi, kodwa bala ukuba baphenduke bamdumise.
People were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.
10 Ingilosi yesihlanu yathululela umganu wayo phezu kwesihlalo sobukhosi sesilo, umbuso waso wembeswa yibumnyama. Abantu baxhanxatha inlimi zabo ngobuhlungu,
The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was darkened. They gnawed their tongues because of the pain,
11 bamthuka uNkulunkulu wasezulwini ngenxa yobuhlungu bezilonda zabo, kodwa bala ukuphenduka kulokho ababekwenzile.
and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores. They did not repent of their works.
12 Ingilosi yesithupha yathululela umganu wayo emfuleni omkhulu uYufrathe, amanzi awo asesitsha ukuba kulungiswe indlela yamakhosi avela empumalanga.
The sixth poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates. Its water was dried up, that the way might be made ready for the kings that come from the sunrise.
13 Ngabuya ngabona imimoya emibi emithathu eyayifana lamaxoxo eyaphuma emlonyeni womgobho lasemlonyeni wesilo kanye lasemlonyeni womphrofethi wamanga.
I saw coming out of the mouth of the serpent, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, something like frogs;
14 Yimimoya yamadimoni eyenza izibonakaliso ezimangalisayo njalo iyahamba iye emakhosini omhlaba wonke iwaqoqela impi ngosuku olukhulu lukaNkulunkulu uSomandla.
for they are spirits of demons, performing signs; which go forth to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God the Almighty.
15 “Khangelani, ngiza njengesela! Ubusisiwe lowo ohlala elindile egcina izigqoko zakhe zikuye ukuze angahambi nqunu abelihlazo.”
"Look, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his clothes, so that he does not walk naked, and they see his shame."
16 Basebeqoqela amakhosi ndawonye endaweni ethiwa yi-Amagedoni ngesiHebheru.
He gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew, Har Megiddo.
17 Ingilosi yesikhombisa yathululela umganu wayo emoyeni kwasekuphuma ilizwi elikhulu ethempelini livela esihlalweni sobukhosi, lisithi, “Sokwenziwe!”
The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came forth out of the temple, from the throne, saying, "It is done."
18 Kwasekusiba lokuphazima kwemibane lemidumo lokukhwaza kwezulu kanye lokuzamazama okukhulu komhlaba. Akulakuzamazama komhlaba okunjengakho okwake kwenzeka selokhu umuntu waba semhlabeni, kwakukukhulu kakhulu lokho kuzamazama komhlaba.
There were lightnings, voices, and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since man was on the earth, so great an earthquake, so mighty.
19 Idolobho elikhulu lehlukana laba yizigaba ezintathu, amadolobho ezizwe abhidlika. UNkulunkulu wakhumbula iBhabhiloni eliKhulu walinika inkezo yewayini egcwele ukuvutha kolaka lwakhe.
The great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 Izihlenge zonke zabaleka kwathi izintaba zanyamalala.
Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 Emkhathini kwehla amatshe amakhulukazi esiqhotho, lilinye lingaba ngamakhilogramu angamatshumi amathathu, awela phezu kwabantu. Bamthuka uNkulunkulu ngenxa yohlupho lwesiqhotho ngoba uhlupho lolo lwalusesabeka.
Great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, came down out of the sky on people. People blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for this plague is exceedingly severe.
