1 UThixo uyabusa, izizwe kazithuthumele; uhlezi esihlalweni sobukhosi phakathi kwamakherubhi, umhlaba kawuzamazame.

Adonai reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned among the cherubim. Let the earth be moved.

2 Mkhulu uThixo eZiyoni; uphakeme ngaphezu kwezizwe zonke.

Adonai is great in Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]. He is high above all the peoples.

3 Kabadumise ibizo Lakho elikhulu elesabekayo Yena ungcwele.

Let them yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to your great and awesome name. He is Holy!

4 INkosi ilamandla, ithanda ukwahlulela okuhle umisile ukwaba ngemfanelo; kuJakhobe usuwenzile okuqondileyo lokulungileyo.

The King’s strength also 'ahav ·affectionately loves· mishpat ·justice·. You do establish equity. You execute mishpat ·justice· and righteousness in Jacob [Supplanter].

5 Dumisani uThixo uNkulunkulu wethu likhonze phansi kwesihlalo sakhe; yena ungcwele.

Exalt Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]. Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship at his footstool. He is Holy!

6 UMosi lo-Aroni babephakathi kwabaphristi bakhe, uSamuyeli wayekulabo ababelibiza ibizo lakhe; bambiza uThixo Yena wabaphendula.

Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] were among his priests, Samuel among those who call on his name; they called on Adonai, and he answered them.

7 Wabakhulumisa ephakathi kwensika yeyezi; bagcina izimiso zakhe lezimemezelo azitshoyo kubo.

He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies, the statute that he gave them.

8 Oh Thixo Nkulunkulu wethu, wabaphendula; ku-Israyeli wawunguNkulunkulu othethelelayo, lanxa wabajezisa ngenxa yezenzo zabo ezimbi.

You answered them, Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]. You are a God who forgave them, although you took vengeance for their doings.

9 Phakamisani uThixo uNkulunkulu wethu, limkhonze entabeni yakhe engcwele, ngoba uThixo uNkulunkulu wethu ungcwele.

Exalt Adonai, our God. Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship at his holy hill, for Adonai, our God, is holy!
