1 UThixo uyabusa, ugqoke ubukhosi; uThixo ugqoke ubukhosi njalo uzihlome ngamandla. Umhlaba ugxilile uqinile; ngeke ugudlulwe.

2 Isihlalo sakho saqiniswa ekadeni; uNguwe kusukela phakade.

My throne is prepared from of old. You are from everlasting.

3 Inlwandle seziphakamisile, Oh Thixo, inlwandle ziliphakamisile ilizwi lazo; inlwandle ziwaphakamisile amagagasi azo agubhuzelayo.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves,

4 Ngamandla adlula umdumo wamanzi amanengi, ngamandla adlula awokugubhuza kolwandle uThixo ophezulu ulamandla.

before the noise of many waters. Wondrous are the surges of the sea; wondrous is the Lord on high.

5 Izimiso zakhe zimi ziqinile; ubungcwele bukhazimulisa indlu Yakho okwensuku ezingapheliyo, Oh Thixo.

Your testimonies have been made exceedingly trustworthy. Sanctity befits your house, O Lord, with length of days.
