Amahubo 87

1 Elamadodana kaKhora. Ihubo. Ingoma. Usakhile isisekelo sakhe entabeni engcwele;

“By the sons of Korach; a psalm or song.” It is founded by him on holy mountains.

2 uThixo uyawathanda amasango eZiyoni okudlula yonke imizi kaJakhobe.

The Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 Izinto ezinhle okumangalisayo ziyatshiwo ngawe, we muzi kaNkulunkulu:

Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. (Selah)

4 “Ngizabalisa uRahabi leBhabhiloni phakathi kwalabo abathi bayangazi iFilistiya leThire, kanye leKhushi ngibe sengisithi, ‘Lo wazalelwa eZiyoni.’”

I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as those that know me; behold, here is Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: “This man was born there.”

5 Ngempela kuzathiwa ngeZiyoni, “Lo laloyana bazalelwa khona, kuthi yena oPhezukonke uzaliqinisa.”

But of Zion will it be said, “This and that man were born in her:” and the Most High himself doth establish her.

6 UThixo uzaloba eluhlwini lwamabizo abantu: “Lo wazalelwa eZiyoni.”

The Lord will number when he writeth down nations. “This man was born there.” (Selah)

7 Bazakuthi betshaya amachacho bahlabele bathi, “Yonke imithombo yami ikuwe.”

And the singers as well as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs [of joy] are in thee.
