Amahubo 82

1 Ihubo lika-Asafi UNkulunkulu usesihlalweni emhlanganweni omkhulu; nguye owahlulelayo phakathi kwabo “nkulunkulu”:

“A psalm of Asaph.” God standeth in God's assembly, He judgeth in the midst of the gods.

2 “Koze kube nini livikela ababi na libonakala lithanda izigangi?

“How long will ye judge unjustly, And favor the cause of the wicked? (Pause)

3 Lamlelani ababuthakathaka lezintandane; melani amalungelo abayanga labahlukuluzwayo.

Defend the poor and the fatherless; Do justice to the wretched and the needy!

4 Lamlelani ababuthakathaka labaswelayo; bephuleni esandleni sababi.

Deliver the poor and the destitute; Save them from the hand of the wicked!

5 Onkulunkulu kabazi lutho, kabazwisisi lutho. Bayantula emnyameni; zonke izisekelo zomhlaba zixukuxiwe.

They are without knowledge and without understanding; They walk in darkness: Therefore all the foundations of the land are shaken.

6 Ngathi, ‘Lingo “nkulunkulu”; lonke lingamadodana akhe oPhezukonke.’

I have said, Ye are gods, And all of you children of the Most High;

7 Kodwa lizakufa lingabantu nje; lizakuwa njengamanye amakhosi wonke.”

But ye shall die like men, And fall like the rest of the princes.”

8 Phakama, Oh Nkulunkulu, yahlulela umhlaba, ngoba zonke izizwe ziyilifa lakho.

Arise, O God! judge the earth! For all the nations are thy possession.
