Amahubo 75

1 Kumqondisi wokuhlabela. Iculo elithi, “Ungabhidlizi.” Ihubo lika-Asafi. Ingoma. Siletha ukubonga kuwe, Oh Nkulunkulu, siletha ukubonga, ngoba iBizo lakho liseduze; abantu bakhuluma ngemisebenzi Yakho emangalisayo.

For the leader; al tashheth. A psalm of Asaph, a song. We praise you, God, we praise you: we would call on your name and declare your wonders.

2 Wena uthi, “Ngikhetha isikhathi esimisiweyo; yimi engahlulela okuqondileyo.

‘At the time I choose, I will judge fairly.

3 Nxa umhlaba kanye labantu bawo kuzamazama, yimi engizibamba ziqine izisekelo zawo.

Though earth melt and all her inhabitants, it is I who keep steady her pillars.’ (Selah)

4 Ngithi kwabayiziqholo, ‘Lingabe lisazincoma,’ ngithi kwababi, ‘Lingaziphakamisi impondo zenu.

I say to the boasters, ‘Boast not’; to the wicked, ‘Lift not up your horn:

5 Lingaphakamiseli uphondo lwenu phezulu ezulwini; lingakhulumi liziqhenya.’”

lift not your horn on high, speak not boldly against the Rock.’

6 Kakho ovela empumalanga loba entshonalanga, kumbe ovela enkangala ongaphakamisa umuntu.

For not from east nor west, not from desert nor mountains;

7 Kodwa nguNkulunkulu owahlulelayo: uyamehlisa omunye, amkhweze omunye.

but God himself is the judge, humbling one and exalting another.

8 Esandleni sikaThixo kukhona inkezo egcwele iwayini eliphuphumayo elixutshwe ngeziyoliso; uyalithulula, kuthi bonke ababi bomhlaba balinathe kanye lenzece zalo.

In the hand of the Lord is a cup foaming wine, richly spiced. Out of this he pours a draught, and all the wicked of earth must drain it down to the dregs.

9 Kodwa mina ngizamemezela lokhu lanini; ngizahlabelela indumiso kuNkulunkulu kaJakhobe,

But I will rejoice forever, singing praise to the God of Jacob.

10 yena othi, “Ngizazithulisa zonke impondo zababi, kodwa impondo zabalungileyo zizaphakanyiswa.”

I will hew all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the just shall be lifted.
