Amahubo 62
1 Kumqondisi wokuhlabela. KuJeduthuni. Ihubo likaDavida. Umphefumulo wami ufumana ukuphumula kuNkulunkulu kuphela; ukusindiswa kwami kuvela kuye.
To the chief Musician. On Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Upon God alone doth my soul rest peacefully; from him is my salvation.
2 Yena yedwa uyilo idwala lami lensindiso yami; uyinqaba yami, kangisoze ngihlukunyezwe lanini.
He only is my rock and my salvation; my high fortress: I shall not be greatly moved.
3 Koze kube nini lilokhu lihlukuluza umuntu na? Lonke lizamlahla phansi na yena ongumduli otshekileyo, oluthango olutebhayo?
How long will ye assail a man; will ye [seek], all of you, to break him down as a bowing wall or a tottering fence?
4 Bazimisele ukumqethula esikhundleni sakhe esiphezulu; bathokoziswa ngamanga. Ngemilomo yabo bayabusisa, kodwa ezinhliziyweni zabo bayaqalekisa.
They only consult to thrust [him] down from his excellency; they delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but in their inward part they curse. (Selah)
5 Fumana ukuphumula, Oh mphefumulo wami, kuNkulunkulu kuphela; ithemba lami livela kuye.
Upon God alone, O my soul, rest peacefully; for my expectation is from him.
6 Yena yedwa ulidwala lami lensindiso; uyinqaba yami, kangisoze ngihlukunyezwe.
He only is my rock and my salvation; my high fortress: I shall not be moved.
7 Insindiso yami lodumo lwami kweyeme kuNkulunkulu; ulidwala lami eliqinileyo, isiphephelo sami.
With God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
8 Thembani kuye ngezikhathi zonke, lina bantu; likhuphe konke okusezinhliziyweni zenu kuye, ngoba uNkulunkulu uyisiphephelo sethu.
Confide in him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before him: God is our refuge. (Selah)
9 Abantukazana bangumoya nje, izikhulu ziyinkohliso nje; aluba belinganiswa esikalini kabasilutho; bonke ndawonye bangumoya kuphela.
Men of low degree are only vanity; men of high degree, a lie: laid in the balance, they go up together [lighter] than vanity.
10 Lingathembi ukuqilibezela kumbe lizikhukhumeze ngempahla zokwebiwa; kungaze kube inotho yenu iyanda, lingabeki inhliziyo zenu kuyo.
Put not confidence in oppression, and become not vain in robbery; if wealth increase, set not your heart upon it.
11 Yinye into uNkulunkulu ayikhulumileyo, zimbili izinto engizizwileyo, ukuthi amandla wonke ngawakho wena, Oh Nkulunkulu.
Once hath God spoken, twice have I heard this, that strength [belongeth] unto God.
12 Lokuthi wena, Thixo, ulothando olojulileyo, umuntu ngamunye uzamupha umvuzo ngalokho akwenzileyo.
And unto thee, O Lord, [belongeth] loving-kindness; for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
