Amahubo 61

1 Kumqondisi wokuhlabela. Kutshaywa iziginci. ElikaDavida. Zwana ukukhala kwami, Oh Nkulunkulu; lalela umkhuleko wami.

To the chief Musician upon Neginah, [A Psalm] of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer.

2 Ngisemkhawulweni womhlaba ngiyakubiza, ngiyabiza lapho inhliziyo yami isiphela amandla; ngikhokhelela edwaleni eliphakeme kulami.

From the end of the earth will I cry to thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock [that] is higher than I.

3 Ngoba ube uyisiphephelo sami, inqaba eqinileyo evikela esitheni.

For thou hast been a shelter for me, [and] a strong tower from the enemy.

4 Ngiyalangazelela ukuhlala ethenteni lakho laphakade ngizifihle emthunzini wamaphiko akho.

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. (Selah)

5 Phela usuzizwile izifungo zami, Oh Nkulunkulu; usungiphile ilifa lalabo abalesabayo ibizo lakho.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given [me] the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6 Yandisa insuku zempilo yenkosi, iminyaka yayo okwezizukulwane ezinengi.

Thou wilt prolong the king's life: [and] his years as many generations.

7 Sengathi ingaba sesihlalweni iphambi kukaNkulunkulu nini lanini; wabele uthando Lwakho lokuthembeka Kwakho kuyivikele.

He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, [which] may preserve him.

8 Lapho-ke ngizahlala ngihlabelela indumiso ebizweni Lakho ngigcwalise izifungo zami insuku ngensuku.

So will I sing praise to thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
