Amahubo 37
1 ElikaDavida. Ungazikhathazi ngabantu ababi loba uhawukele labo abenza okungalunganga;
Of David - may not you fret yourself in the evil-doers may not you be jealous of [those who] do unrighteousness.
2 ngoba bazabuna masinyane njengotshani, njengezimila eziluhlaza bazakufa masinyane.
For like grass quickly they will wither and like [the] greenery of vegetation they will fade!
3 Themba kuThixo wenze okulungileyo; hlala elizweni ukholise amadlelo amahle.
Trust in Yahweh and do good dwell [the] land and graze faithfulness.
4 Zithokozise kuThixo Yena uzakupha izifiso zenhliziyo yakho.
And take delight on Yahweh so he may give to you [the] requests of heart your.
5 Nikela indlela zakho kuThixo; themba kuye, Yena uzakwenzela lokhu:
Roll on Yahweh way your and rely on him and he he will act.
6 Uzakwenza ukulunga kwakho kukhazimule njengentathakusa, ubuqotho balokho okulwelayo njengelanga lemini enkulu.
And he will bring forth like the light righteousness your and justice your like the noontide.
7 Chuma phambi kukaThixo umlindele ngesineke; ungakhathazeki nxa abantu bephumelela ngezindlela zabo, nxa bephutshisa amaqhinga abo amabi.
Be still - to Yahweh and wait longingly for him may not you fret yourself in [one who] makes prosperous way his in a person [who] makes plots.
8 Xwayana lokuzonda njalo ufulathele intukuthelo; ungakhathazeki, kukhokhelela ebubini kuphela.
Refrain from anger and forsake rage may not you fret yourself only to do evil.
9 Ngoba abantu ababi bazasuswa, kodwa labo abathemba uThixo bazakudla ilifa lelizwe.
For evil-doers they will be cut off! and [those who] wait for Yahweh they they will possess [the] land.
10 Kuseyisikhatshana nje, ababi bazabe bengasekho; loba usubadinga kabasayikufunyanwa.
And yet a little and there not [will be the] wicked and you will look carefully on place his and there not [will be] he.
11 Kodwa abathobekileyo bazakudla ilifa lelizwe njalo bakholise ukuthula okukhulu.
And humble [people] they will possess [the] land and they will take delight on abundance of well-being.
12 Ababi baceba ukulimaza abalungileyo babagedlele amazinyo;

13 kodwa iNkosi iyabahleka ababi, ngoba iyazi ukuthi usuku lwabo luyeza.

16 Kungcono ingcosana leyo abalayo abalungileyo kulenotho yababi abanengi;
[is] good [the] little Of the righteous more than [the] wealth of wicked [people] many.
17 ngoba amandla ababi azaqedwa, kodwa uThixo uyabaxhasa abalungileyo.
For [the] arms of wicked [people] they will be broken and [is] sustaining righteous [people] Yahweh.
18 Insuku zabangelasici ziyaziwa nguThixo, ilifa labo lizakuma lanini.
[is] knowing Yahweh [the] days of blameless [people] and inheritance their for ever it will be.
19 Ngezikhathi zomonakalo abayikubuna; ngezikhathi zendlala bazasutha.
Not they will be ashamed in a time evil and in days of famine they will be satisfied.
20 Kodwa ababi bazabhubha; izitha zikaThixo zinjengobuhle beganga, zizanyamalala, zinyamalale njengentuthu.
For wicked [people] - they will perish and [the] enemies of Yahweh [will be] like a splendid [thing] of pastures they will come to an end in smoke they will come to an end.
21 Ababi bayaboleka kodwa kababuyiseli, kodwa abalungileyo bayapha kakhulu;
[is] borrowing [the] wicked And not he repays and [the] righteous [is] showing favor and giving.
22 labo uThixo ababusisayo bazakudla ilifa lelizwe; kodwa labo abathukayo bazasuswa.
For blessed [ones] his they will possess [the] land and cursed [ones] his they will be cut off.
23 Nxa uThixo ethokoziswa yikuhamba komuntu, uyaqinisa izinyathelo zakhe;
From Yahweh [the] steps of a man they are established and way his he delights in.
24 loba angakhubeka, kayikuwa, ngoba uThixo uyamsekela ngesandla sakhe.
For he will fall not he will be thrown down for Yahweh [is] supporting hand his.
25 Ngangimutsha, manje sengiluphele, kodwa angizange ngibone abalungileyo bedelwa loba abantwababo becela isinkwa.
A young man - I have been also I am old and not I have seen [the] righteous forsaken and offspring his seeking food.
26 Bayaphana kokuphela njalo bayebolekana nje; abantwababo bazabusiswa.

27 Phendukani ebubini lenze ukulunga lapho-ke lizahlala elizweni nini lanini.
Turn away from evil and do good and dwell for ever.
28 Ngoba uThixo uthanda abalungileyo njalo kayikubadela abathembekileyo bakhe. Bazavikelwa kuze kube nini lanini kodwa inzalo yababi izalahlwa;
For Yahweh - [is] loving justice and not he will abandon faithful [people] his for ever they are preserved and [the] offspring of wicked [people] it is cut off.
29 abalungileyo bazazuza ilifa lelizwe bahlale kulo lanini.
Righteous [people] they will possess [the] land so they may dwell for ever on it.
30 Umlomo womuntu olungileyo ukhuluma ukuhlakanipha, lolimi lwakhe lukhuluma okuqondileyo.
[the] mouth of [the] righteous It utters wisdom and tongue his it speaks justice.
31 Umthetho kaNkulunkulu wakhe usenhliziyweni yakhe; inyawo zakhe kazitsheleli.
[the] law of God his [is] in heart his not it slips steps his.
32 Ababi bacathamela abalungileyo befuna impilo yabo qobo lwayo;
[is] watching A wicked [person] for righteous [person] and [is] seeking to kill him.
33 kodwa uThixo kayikubayekela bazenzele abakuthandayo kubo kumbe balahlwe licala nxa bethonisiswa.
Yahweh not he will abandon him in hand his and not he will condemn as guilty him when is judged he.
34 Lindelani uThixo ligcine indlela yakhe. Uzaliphakamisa lilithathe ilifa lelizwe; lizakubona lokhu nxa ababi sebesusiwe.
Wait to Yahweh - and keep way his and he will exalt you to possess [the] land when are cut off wicked [people] you will see.
35 Sengike ngabona umuntu omubi olesihluku kulokubhadala ehluma njengesihlahla, esikhula kuhle emhlabathini waso wemvelo,
I have seen a wicked [person] ruthless and spreading himself like a native tree luxuriant.
36 kodwa waphanga wafa kabe esabakhona; ngathi loba sengimdinga ngamswela.

37 Nanzelela abangelecala, qaphela abaqotho. Likhona ikusasa kumuntu wokuthula.
Watch [the] blameless and see [the] upright for a future [belongs] to a person of peace.
38 Kodwa zonke izoni zizabhujiswa; ikusasa lezigangi lizasuswa.
And transgressors they will be destroyed altogether [the] future of wicked [people] it will be cut off.
39 Ukusindiswa kwabalungileyo kuvela kuThixo; uyinqaba yabo ngesikhathi sokuhlupheka.
And [the] salvation of righteous [people] [is] from Yahweh place of refuge their in a time of trouble.
40 UThixo uyabasiza abakhulule; abakhulule kwababi abasindise, ngoba baphephela kuye.
And he helped them Yahweh and he delivered them he delivers them from wicked [people] and he saves them for they have taken refuge in him.
