< Amahubo 2 >
1 Kungani izizwe zixokozela, labantu besakha amacebo ngeze?
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 Amakhosi omhlaba ayahloma ajame lababusi bahlangana ndawonye bemelana loThixo njalo lalowo ogcotshiweyo wakhe besithi;
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 “Kasiwaqamuleni amaketane abo, silahle izibopho zabo.”
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 Yena osesihlalweni ezulwini uyahleka; uThixo uyabahleka.
He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5 Abesebakhalimela ngolaka, abathuthumelise ngentukuthelo yakhe, esithi,
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 “Sengiyibekile eyami inkosi phezu kweZiyoni, intaba yami engcwele.”
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 Ngizasimemezela isimiso sikaThixo: Wathi kimi, “UyiNdodana yami; lamhla sengibe nguyihlo.
I will declare the decree: the LORD has said unto me, You are my Son; this day have I begotten you.
8 Cela kimi, ngizakwenza izizwe zibe yilifa lakho, imikhawulo yomhlaba kube yinotho yakho.
Ask of me, and I shall give you the heathen for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.
9 Uzazibusa ngentonga yobukhosi eyensimbi, uzazibhidliza zicubuzeke njengebumba.”
You shall break them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Ngakho-ke lina makhosi, limukani, liyaxwayiswa lina babusi bomhlaba.
Be wise now therefore, O all of you kings: be instructed, all of you judges of the earth.
11 Mkhonzeni uThixo ngokumesaba, lithokozele umbuso wakhe ngokuthuthumela.
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Ikhothameleni iNdodana, funa ithukuthele beselibhujiswa endleleni yenu, ngoba intukuthelo yakhe ingavutha ngesikhatshana. Babusisiwe bonke abaphephela kuye.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and all of you perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
