1 Dumisani uThixo. Hlabelelani uThixo ingoma entsha, indumiso yakhe ebandleni labathembekileyo.

Hallelujah! Sing unto Jehovah a new song; [sing] his praise in the congregation of the godly.

2 Akuthi u-Israyeli athokoze ngoMenzi wakhe; akuthi abantu baseZiyoni bajabule ngeNkosi yabo.

Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 Kabadumise ibizo lakhe ngokusina, batshaye amagedla lamachacho.

Let them praise his name in the dance; let them sing psalms unto him with the tambour and harp.

4 Ngoba uThixo uyathokoza ngabantu bakhe; abathobekileyo ubapha umqhele wensindiso.

For Jehovah taketh pleasure in his people; he beautifieth the meek with salvation.

5 Akuthi abathembekileyo bathokoze ngale inhlonipho, bahlabele ngentokozo besemibhedeni yabo.

Let the godly exult in glory; let them shout for joy upon their beds.

6 Sengathi indumiso kaNkulunkulu ingaba semilonyeni yabo lenkemba esika nxazonke ibe sezandleni zabo,

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand:

7 ukuthi benze impindiselo phezu kwezizwe lesijeziso phezu kwabantu,

To execute vengeance against the nations, [and] punishment among the peoples;

8 babophe amakhosi azo ngentambo lezikhulu zabo ngezibopho zensimbi,

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 ukugcwalisa kubo isigwebo abasibhalelwayo. Lokhu kuyinkazimulo yabathembekileyo bakhe bonke. Dumisani uThixo.

To execute upon them the judgment written. This honour have all his saints. Hallelujah!
