1 Dumisani uThixo. Dumisani ibizo likaThixo; mdumiseni lina zinceku zikaThixo,
Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise [him], O ye servants of the LORD.
2 lina eliqhuba inkonzo endlini kaThixo, emagumeni endlu kaNkulunkulu.
Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,
3 Dumisani uThixo ngoba uThixo ulungile; hlabelani indumiso ebizweni lakhe ngoba lokho kuhle.
Praise the LORD; for the LORD [is] good; sing praises to his name; for [it is] pleasant.
4 Ngoba uThixo usemkhethile uJakhobe ukuba ngowakhe, u-Israyeli ukuba yinotho yakhe eligugu.
For the LORD hath chosen Jacob to himself, [and] Israel for his peculiar treasure.
5 Ngiyazi ukuthi uThixo mkhulu, lokuthi iNkosi yethu inkulu kulabonkulunkulu bonke.
For I know that the LORD [is] great, and [that] our LORD [is] above all gods.
6 UThixo wenza loba yini ayifunayo, emazulwini lasemhlabeni, enlwandle lasezinzikini zazo.
Whatever the LORD pleased, [that] did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
7 Wenza amayezi aqubuka emikhawulweni yomhlaba; uthuma umbane kanye lezulu, avulele umoya oseziphaleni zakhe.
He causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
8 Wawalahla phansi amazibulo aseGibhithe, amazibulo abantu lawezinyamazana.
Who smote the first-born of Egypt, both of man and beast.
9 Wathumela izibonakaliso lezimangaliso zakhe phakathi kwakho, wena Gibhithe, phezu kukaFaro lezinceku zakhe zonke.
[Who] sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
10 Wazilahla phansi izizwe ezinengi wabulala amakhosi alamandla,
Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;
11 uSihoni inkosi yama-Amori, u-Ogi inkosi yaseBhashani lawo wonke amakhosi aseKhenani
Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
12 wanika ilizwe labo laba yilifa, ilifa labantu bakhe, u-Israyeli.
And gave their land [for] a heritage, a heritage to Israel his people.
13 Ibizo lakho, Oh Thixo, limi kuze kube nininini, udumo lwakho, Oh Thixo, ezizukulwaneni zonke.
Thy name, O LORD, [endureth] for ever; [and] thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.
14 Ngoba uThixo uzabalamulela abantu bakhe abe lesihawu ezincekwini zakhe.
For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent concerning his servants.
15 Izithombe zezizwe ziyisiliva legolide, zenziwe ngezandla zabantu.
The idols of the heathen [are] silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
16 Zilemilomo, kodwa kazikhulumi, amehlo, kodwa kaziboni;
They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not.
17 zilezindlebe, kodwa kazizwa, njalo kazilamphefumulo emilonyeni yazo.
They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there [any] breath in their mouths.
18 Labo abazenzayo bazakuba njengazo, kube njalo lakulabo abathemba kuzo.
They that make them are like them: [so is] every one that trusteth in them.
19 Wena ndlu ka-Israyeli, dumisa uThixo; wena ndlu ka-Aroni, dumisa uThixo;
Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:
20 wena ndlu kaLevi, dumisa uThixo lina elimesabayo, dumisani uThixo.
Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.
21 Udumo alube uThixo lusuka eZiyoni, kuye ohlala eJerusalema. Dumisani uThixo.
Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, who dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
