3 Aluba wena, Thixo ububhala phansi zonke izono, ngubani ongema na Nkosi?
If you, Yah, kept a record of depravities (moral evils), Lord, who could stand?
4 Kodwa kuwe kulentethelelo; ngalokho uyesatshwa.
But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.
5 Ngiyamlindela uThixo, umphefumulo wami uyalinda, ngibeka ithemba lami elizwini lakho.

6 Umphefumulo wami ulindela uThixo okudlula abalindi bemelele ukusa, okudlula abalindi bemelele ukusa.
My soul longs for 'Adonay [Lord] more than watchmen long for the morning; more than watchmen for the morning.
