< Amahubo 130 >

1 Ingoma yemiqanso. Ngingaphansi ekujuleni ngiyakhala kuwe, Thixo;
“A song of the degrees.” Out of the depths have I called thee, O Lord.
2 Thixo, zwana ilizwi lami. Indlebe zakho kazilalele ukukhala kwami ngicela umusa.
Lord, listen to my voice: let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 Aluba wena, Thixo ububhala phansi zonke izono, ngubani ongema na Nkosi?
If thou, Lord, shouldst treasure up iniquities, O Lord, who would be able to stand?
4 Kodwa kuwe kulentethelelo; ngalokho uyesatshwa.
But with thee there is forgiveness, in order that thou mayest be feared.
5 Ngiyamlindela uThixo, umphefumulo wami uyalinda, ngibeka ithemba lami elizwini lakho.
I hope for the Lord, my soul doth hope, and for his word do I wait.
6 Umphefumulo wami ulindela uThixo okudlula abalindi bemelele ukusa, okudlula abalindi bemelele ukusa.
My soul [waiteth] for the Lord, more than they that watch for the morning expect the morning.
7 We Israyeli, beka ithemba lakho kuThixo, ngoba kuye uThixo kulothando olungaphuthiyo njalo kuye kulensindiso epheleleyo.
Let Israel wait for the Lord; for with the Lord there is kindness, and with him is redemption in abundance;
8 Yena ngokwakhe uzahlenga u-Israyeli kuzozonke izono zabo.
And he wilt surely redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
