1 Ngakho-ke bazalwane bami, lina engilithandayo lengilikhumbulayo, liyintokozo yami lomqhele wami, kumele liqine kanjalo eNkosini bangane abathandekayo!
Therefore, my brethre, beloued and longed for, my ioy and my crowne, so continue in the Lord, yee beloued.
2 Ngiyamncenga uYuwodiya loSintikhe ukuba bavumelane eNkosini.
I pray Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of one accord in the Lord,
3 Ngiyakucela mhlobo wami oqotho, siza abesifazane labo abasebenza lami kanzima ngenxa yevangeli, kanye loKlementi labanye engisebenza labo, abalamabizo abo asencwadini yokuphila.
Yea, and I beseech thee, faithfull yokefellow, helpe those women, which laboured with me in the Gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowe labourers, whose names are in the booke of life.
4 Thokozani eNkosini kokuphela. Ngiyatsho futhi ngithi: Thokozani!
Reioyce in the Lord alway, againe I say, reioyce.
5 Ukuthobeka kwenu kakubonakale kubo bonke. INkosi isiseduze.
Let your patient minde be knowen vnto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Lingakhathazeki kodwa ngazo zonke izikhathi bikani izicelo zenu kuNkulunkulu ngokukhuleka, ngokuncenga langokubonga.
Be nothing carefull, but in all thinges let your requestes be shewed vnto God in praier, and supplication with giuing of thankes.
7 Ukuthula kukaNkulunkulu okudlula ukuqedisisa konke kuzabusa inhliziyo zenu lezingqondo zenu kuKhristu uJesu.
And the peace of God which passeth all vnderstanding, shall preserue your heartes and mindes in Christ Iesus.
8 Okokucina bazalwane, konke okuliqiniso, lokulesithunzi, lokulungileyo, lokuhlambulukileyo, lokuhle, lokubukekayo, nxa ulutho luluhle kakhulu loba lubongeka, cabangani ngezinto ezinje.
Furthermore, brethre, whatsoeuer things are true, whatsoeuer things are honest, whatsoeuer thinges are iust, whatsoeuer thinges are pure, whatsoeuer thinges are worthie loue, whatsoeuer things are of good report, if there be any vertue, or if there be any praise, thinke on these things,
9 Loba kuyini elikufundileyo loba elikwamukeleyo loba elikuzwileyo kuvela kimi, loba elikubonileyo kimi, kwenzeni. UNkulunkulu wokuthula uzakuba lani.
Which yee haue both learned and receiued, and heard, and seene in mee: those things doe, and the God of peace shalbe with you.
10 Ngiyathokoza kakhulu eNkosini ngokuthi khathesi selize lavuselela ukungikhathalela kwenu. Impela kade likhathazeka kodwa lingelalo ithuba lokukubonakalisa.
Nowe I reioyce also in the Lord greatly, that nowe at the last your care for mee springeth afresh, wherein notwithstanding ye were careful, but yee lacked opportunitie.
11 Kangitsho lokhu ngenxa yokuthi ngiyaswela ngoba sengafunda ukwaneliseka kuyo yonke imimo.
I speake not because of want: for I haue learned in whatsoeuer state I am, therewith to bee content.
12 Ngiyakwazi ukuba ukuswela kuyini njalo ngiyakwazi ukuba kuyini ukuba lokunengi. Sengafunda imfihlo yokwaneliseka kuzozonke izimo, langabe ngiyasutha loba ngilambile, loba ngilokunengi kumbe ngiswela.
And I can be abased, and I can abounde: euery where in all things I am instructed, both to be full, and to be hungrie, and to abounde, and to haue want.
13 Ngingazenza zonke izinto ngaye onginika amandla.
I am able to do al things through the helpe of Christ, which strengtheneth me.
14 Kodwa kwakukuhle ukuthi lihlanganyele lami ekuhluphekeni kwami.
Notwithstanding yee haue well done, that yee did communicate to mine affliction.
15 Phezu kwalokho, lina bantu baseFiliphi liyakwazi ukuthi ensukwini elaqala ngazo ukwazi ivangeli ngesikhathi ngisuka eMasedoniya, akukho lalinye ibandla elahlanganyela lami endabeni yokupha lokwamukela ngaphandle kwenu kuphela;
And yee Philippians knowe also that in the beginning of the Gospell, when I departed from Macedonia, no Church communicated with me, concerning the matter of giuing and receiuing, but yee onely.
16 ngoba langesikhathi ngiseThesalonika langithumela usizo kanengi lapho ngidinga uncedo.
For euen when I was in Thessalonica, yee sent once, and afterward againe for my necessitie,
17 Akusikuthi ngifuna isipho kodwa ngifuna okuzakuba yinzuzo kini.
Not that I desire a gift: but I desire the fruit which may further your reckoning.
18 Sengamukele umvuzo ogcweleyo lodlulisileyo; ngiphiwe okwaneleyo njengoba khathesi sengamukele ku-Ephafrodithusi izipho elazithumelayo. Zingumnikelo wephunga elimnandi, umhlatshelo owamukelekayo lothokozisa uNkulunkulu.
Now I haue receiued all, and haue plentie: I was euen filled, after that I had receiued of Epaphroditus that which came from you, an odour that smellleth sweete, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasant to God.
19 UNkulunkulu wami uzakugcwalisa konke ukuswela kwenu ngenkazimulo yenotho yakhe kuKhristu uJesu.
And my God shall fulfill all your necessities through his riches with glorie in Iesus Christ.
Vnto God euen our Father be praise for euermore, Amen. (aiōn g165)
21 Bingelelani bonke abangcwele abakuKhristu. Abazalwane abalami bayalibingelela.
Salute all the Saintes in Christ Iesus. The brethren, which are with me, greete you.
22 Abangcwele bonke bayalibingelela, ikakhulu labo abangabendlu kaKhesari.
All the Saintes salute you, and most of all they which are of Cesars houshold.
23 Umusa weNkosi uJesu Khristu kawube lomoya wenu.
The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with you all, Amen. ‘Written to the Philippians from Rome, and sent by Epaphroditus.’
