1 Qhubekani lithandana njengabazalwane.
Let brotherly love abide.
2 Lingakhohlwa ukwamukela izihambi ngoba ngokwenza njalo abanye abantu bamukela izingilosi bengazi.
Do not forget love for strangers, for by this some lodged agents, unaware.
3 Khumbulani abasentolongweni ngokungathi lani liyizibotshwa kanye labo, kanye lalabo abaphethwe kubi ngokungathi lani uqobo liyahlupheka.
Remember the prisoners as being in bondage together, those who are ill-treated as also yourselves being in the body.
4 Ukuthathana kumele kuhlonitshwe ngumuntu wonke, kuthi lomendlalo wokuthathana uhlale uhlambulukile ngoba uNkulunkulu uzakwahlulela isifebe labo bonke abahlobongayo.
Marriage is precious in every way, and the undefiled bed, but God will judge fornicators and adulterers.
5 Ekuphileni kwenu xwayani ukuthanda imali lisuthiseke ngalokho elilakho, ngoba uNkulunkulu wathi: “Kangisoze ngilitshiye; kangisoze ngilidele.”
The Way of life is to be without love of money, being content with the things that are present, for he has said, I will, no, not leave thee, and also, I will, no, not forsake thee.
6 Ngakho siyatsho ngethemba sithi: “INkosi ingumsizi wami; kangiyikwesaba. Umuntu angenzani kimi na?”
So then we have confidence to say, The Lord is a helper to me, and I will not fear. What will man do to me?
7 Khumbulani abakhokheli benu, abakhuluma ilizwi likaNkulunkulu kini. Cabangani okwavela endleleni yokuphila kwabo lilingisele ukukholwa kwabo.
Remember those who lead you, men who spoke the word of God to you, of whom, carefully observing the outcome of their conduct, imitate the faith-
Jesus Christ, the same yesterday and today, and into the ages. (aiōn g165)
9 Lingathatheki ngazozonke inhlobo zemfundiso engaziwayo. Kuhle ukuba inhliziyo zethu ziqiniswe ngumusa, hatshi yikudla komkhuba okungelasizo kulabo abakudlayo.
Be not carried away by various and foreign doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established with grace, not with foods by which those who walked were not benefited.
10 Thina sile-alithare lapho labo abakhonza ethabanikeleni bengelalungelo lokudlela kulo.

11 Umphristi omkhulu uletha igazi lezifuyo eNdaweni eNgcwelengcwele njengomnikelo wesono kodwa izidumbu zazo ziyatshiswa ngaphandle kwezihonqo.

12 Ngokunjalo uJesu laye wahlupheka ngaphandle kwesango ledolobho ukuba enze abantu bakhe babengcwele ngegazi lakhe.
Therefore Jesus also, so that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside the gate.
13 Ngakho-ke, kasiyeni kuye ngaphandle kwezihonqo silehlazo alithwalayo.
Let us therefore go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.
14 Ngoba lapha kasiladolobho elimiyo njalo, kodwa sidinga idolobho elizayo.
For here we have no enduring city, but we seek that which is coming.
15 Ngakho, ngoJesu kasinikeleni njalonjalo kuNkulunkulu umhlatshelo wokubonga, isithelo sezindebe ezivuma ibizo lakhe.
Through him therefore, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, fruit of lips acknowledging his name.
16 Njalo lingakhohlwa ukwenza okulungileyo kanye lokwabela abanye ngoba uNkulunkulu uyathokoza ngemihlatshelo enje.
But do not forget benevolence and fellowship, for God is well pleased with such sacrifices.
17 Lalelani abakhokheli benu njalo lithobele amandla abo. Bayalilinda njengabantu okumele balandise ngani. Balaleleni ukuze umsebenzi wabo uthokozise njalo ungasindi ngoba lokho akungeke kube lusizo kini.
Have confidence in those who lead you, and yield yourselves, for they watch for your souls as men who will render account, so that they may do this with joy, and not groaning, for this is unprofitable for you.
18 Sikhulekeleni. Sileqiniso ukuthi silesazela esihle njalo sifisa ukuhlala ngobuqotho ngezindlela zonke.
Pray about us, for we trust that we have a good conscience, desiring to behave well in all things.
19 Ikakhulu ngiyalincenga ukuba likhuleke ukuze ngibuyiselwe kini masinyane.
But I urge you to do this even more, so that I may be restored to you sooner.
20 Sengathi uNkulunkulu wokuthula, owavusa iNkosi yethu uJesu kwabafileyo ngegazi lesivumelwano esingapheliyo, lowoMalusi omkhulu wezimvu, (aiōnios g166)
Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep by the blood of an eternal covenant-our Lord Jesus- (aiōnios g166)
21 angalihlomisa ngakho konke okulungele ukwenza intando yakhe, njalo sengathi angasebenza phakathi kwethu lokho okumthokozisayo ngoJesu Khristu, udumo kalube kuye kuze kube nini lanini. Ameni. (aiōn g165)
may he make you fully qualified in every good work in order to do his will, doing in you what is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory into the ages of the ages. Truly. (aiōn g165)
22 Bazalwane, ngiyalincenga ukuba libekezelele ilizwi lami lokuqonqosela kwami ngoba ngililobele incwadi emfitshane nje.
And I urge you, brothers, bear with the word of exhortation, for I also wrote to you in brief.
23 Ngithanda ukuba likwazi ukuthi umzalwane wethu uThimothi usekhululwe. Angafika masinyane ngizakuza laye sizelibona.
Know ye, brother Timothy who was set free is with whom I will see you, if he comes sooner.
24 Bingelelani bonke abakhokheli benu kanye labantu bakaNkulunkulu bonke. Abavela e-Ithali bayalibingelela.
Salute all those who lead you, and all the sanctified. The men from Italy salute you.
25 Umusa kawube lani lonke.
Grace is with you all. Truly.
