And say unto Tyrus, O you that are situated at the entry of the sea, which are a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus says the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, you have said, I am of perfect beauty.
4 Umbuso wakho wawuphakathi kolwandle; abakhi bakho baphelelisa ubuhle bakho.
Your borders are in the midst of the seas, your builders have perfected your beauty.
5 Wonke amapulanka akho bawenza ngezihlahla zejanipha ezivela eSeniri; bathatha umsedari eLebhanoni ukuba bakwenzele insika.
They have made all your ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for you.
6 Ngemi-okhi eyavela eBhashani bakwenzela amaphini okugwedla izikepe; ngezigodo zomsipresi ezavela ngasolwandle lwaseKhithimi benza indawo yokuhamba kuyo, yendlalwe impondo zendlovu.
Of the oaks of Bashan have they made your oars; the company of the Ashurites have made your benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.
7 Iseyili lakho kwakuyilineni elihle elicecisiweyo elavela eGibhithe, elaba yilona phawu lwakho; amaseyili akho okusitha ilanga ayengawokuluhlaza lokuyibubende okwavela ngasolwandle lwase-Elisha.

8 Amadoda aseSidoni le-Avadi ayengabagwedli bakho; izazi zakho, wena Thire, zazisemkhunjini njengabatshayeli bomkhumbi.

9 Izingcwethi ezindala zaseGebhali zaziphakathi komkhumbi njengabalungisi bemikhumbi ukuba bagcike imiphetho yakho. Yonke imikhumbi yasolwandle labatshayeli bayo yeza ikanye lawe ukuzathenga impahla zakho.
The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in you your repairer of breaches: all the ships of the sea with their seamen were in you to occupy your merchandise.
10 Amadoda asePhezhiya, leLudi kanye lePhuthi asebenza njengamabutho ebuthweni lakho. Alengisa amahawu awo lezingowane emidulini yakho, akulethela ubuhle obukhulu.
They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in your army, your men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in you; they set forth your loveliness.
11 Amadoda ase-Avadi kanye leHelekhi abakhona emidulini yakho ezinhlangothini zonke; amadoda aseGamadi ayesemiphotshongweni yakho. Aphanyeka amahawu awo inxa zonke zemiduli yakho; aphelelisa ubuhle bakho.
The men of Arvad with your army were upon your walls round about, and the Gammadims (mercenaries) were in your towers: they hanged their shields upon your walls round about; they have made your beauty perfect.
12 IThashishi yathengiselana lawe ngenxa yenotho yezimpahla zakho ezinengi; impahla yakho ethengiswayo bayithenga ngesiliva, insimbi, ithusi kanye lomnuso.
Tarshish was your merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in your fairs.
13 IJavani, leThubhali kanye leMesheki athengiselana lawe, athenga impahla zakho ngezigqili langezinto ezenziwe ngethusi.
Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were your merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in your market.
14 Abantu baseBhethi Thogarima bathenga impahla zakho ngamabhiza omsebenzi, amabhiza empi kanye lezimbongolo.
They of the house of Togarmah traded in your fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.
15 Abantu baseRodesi bathengiselana lawe, njalo amazwe amanengi angasolwandle athenga kuwe, akubhadala ngempondo zendlovu langesihlahla esithiwa yi-ebhoni.
The men of Dedan were your merchants; many isles were the merchandise of your hand: they brought you for a present horns of ivory and ebony.
16 I-Aramu yathengiselana lawe ngenxa yezimpahla zakho ezinengi, impahla zakho ezithengiswayo bazithenga ngamatshe aligugu aluhlaza, amalembu alubende, umsebenzi ocecisiweyo, ilineni elihle, ikhorali langelitshe eliligugu elibomvu.
Syria was your merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of your making: they occupied in your fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate.
17 UJuda lo-Israyeli bathengiselana lawe; impahla zakho ezithengiswayo bazithenga ngengqoloyi eyavela eMinithi langokumnandi, uluju, amafutha kanye lenhlaka.
Judah, and the land of Israel, they were your merchants: they traded in your market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.
18 Ngenxa yezimpahla zakho ezinengi kanye lenotho enkulu yempahla, iDamaseko yathengiselana lawe ngewayini elivela eHelibhoni langewulu evela eZahari.
Damascus was your merchant in the multitude of the wares of your making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool.
19 AbakoDani lamaGrikhi avela e-Uzali athenga impahla zakho; azithenga ngensimbi ekhandiweyo, langekhasiya kanye lekhalamusi.
Dan also and Javan going back and forth occupied in your fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in your market.
20 IDedani yathengiselana lawe ngezingubo zezihlalo.
Dedan was your merchant in precious clothes for chariots.
21 I-Arabhiya lazozonke izikhulu zaseKhedari babethenga kuwe; bathengiselana lawe ngezimvu, inqama kanye lembuzi.
Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with you in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they your merchants.
22 Abathengi baseShebha labaseRahama bathengiselana lawe; impahla zakho bazithenga ngezinhlobo zonke ezinhle zeziyoliso langamatshe aligugu kanye legolide.
The merchants of Sheba and Raamah, they were your merchants: they occupied in your fairs with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.
23 IHarani, leKhane le-Edeni kanye labathengi baseShebha, le-Asiriya kanye leKhilimadi bathengiselana lawe.
Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur, and Chilmad, were your merchants.
24 Endaweni yakho yokuthengiselana, bakuthengisela izembatho ezinhle, amalembu aluhlaza, imisebenzi ececisiweyo kanye lamajali alemibala eminengi lezintshaka eziphothiweyo njalo zilamafindo abotshwe aqina.
These were your merchants in all sorts of things, in blue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among your merchandise.
25 Imikhumbi yaseThashishi isebenza ukuthwala impahla zakho. Ugcwele impahla ezinzima enzikini yolwandle.
The ships of Tarshish did sing of you in your market: and you were replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the seas.
26 Abagwedli bakho bakusa elwandle olukhulu. Kodwa umoya wasempumalanga uzakwephula ube yiziqayiqa enzikini yolwandle.
Your rowers have brought you into great waters: the east wind has broken you in the midst of the seas.
27 Inotho yakho, okuthengiswayo kanye lempahla, abatshayeli bakho, labaqondisi kanye labalungisi bemikhumbi, abathengisi bakho lawo wonke amabutho akho, labanye bonke abaphakathi komkhumbi bazatshona enzikini yolwandle ngosuku lokonakala komkhumbi.
Your riches, and your fairs, your merchandise, your seamen, and your pilots, your repairer of breaches, and the occupiers of your merchandise, and all your men of war, that are in you, and in all your company which is in the midst of you, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of your ruin.
28 Amazwe angaselwandle azanyikinyeka lapho abahambisa umkhumbi bakho sebehlaba umkhosi.
The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of your pilots.
29 Bonke abaphethe amaphini okugwedla bazayitshiya imikhumbi yabo; abatshayeli bayo kanye labaqondisi bayo bonke bazakuma ekhunjini.
And all that handle the oar, the seamen, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land;
30 Bazaphakamisa amazwi abo bakhale kabuhlungu ngawe; bazathela uthuli emakhanda abo bagiqike emlotheni.
And shall cause their voice to be heard against you, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes:
31 Bazaphuca amakhanda abo ngenxa yakho njalo bazagqoka amasaka. Bazaqhinqa isililo ngawe ngesililo esibuhlungu.
And they shall make themselves utterly bald for you, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for you with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.
32 Lapho bekukhalela bekulilela bazaqhinqa isililo ngawe bathi, “Ngubani owake wathuliswa njengeThire, elizungezwe lulwandle na?”
And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for you, and lament over you, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?
33 Ekuphumeni kwempahla yakho elwandle wasuthisa izizwe ezinengi; ngenotho yakho enengi langempahla yakho wanothisa amakhosi omhlaba.
When your wares went forth out of the seas, you filled many people; you did enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.
34 Khathesi usuphahlazwe lulwandle ezinzikini zamanzi: impahla yakho lenhlanganiso yakho yonke kuzatshona phansi kanye lawe.
In the time when you shall be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters your merchandise and all your company in the midst of you shall fall.
35 Bonke abahlala emazweni angasolwandle balokwesaba ngawe; amakhosi abo ayathuthumela ngokwesaba lobuso bawo bunyukubaliswe luvalo.
All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at you, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.
36 Abathengi phakathi kwezizwe bayakuncifela; usufike ekucineni okwesabekayo, njalo kawuyikuba khona futhi.’”
The merchants among the people shall hiss at you; you shall be a terror, and never shall be any more.
