U-Eksodusi 31
1 UThixo wathi kuMosi,
And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
2 “Khangela, sengikhethe uBhezaleli indodana ka-Uri oyindodana kaHuri owesizwe sikaJuda
“See, I have called by name Bezaleel, son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
3 ngamgcwalisa ngomoya kaNkulunkulu, ukuhlakanipha, ukuqedisisa lolwazi ekwenzeni yonke imisebenzi yobungcitshi
and I fill him [with] the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all work,
4 ukuze adwebe imisebenzi yobungcitshi ngesimo sezinto ezenziwa ngegolide, isiliva kanye lethusi,
to devise inventions to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze,
5 abaze amatshe awabeke kuhle, abaze izigodo kanye lokwenza yonke imisebenzi yomuntu oleminwe lobungcwethi.
and in a carving of stone for settings, and in a carving of wood to work in all work.
6 Phezu kwalokho, ngikhethe lo-Oholiyabhi indodana ka-Ahisamakhi, owesizwe sikaDani ukuba amncedise. Nginike ulwazi kuzozonke izingcitshi ukuba zenze konke engikulaye ukuba kwenziwe:
And I, behold, have given with him Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, and I have given wisdom in the heart of every wise-hearted one, and they have made all that which I have commanded you.
7 ithente lokuhlangana, umtshokotsho wobufakazi, isihlalo somusa esikuwo, lakho konke okunye okokuhlobisa ithente:
The Tent of Meeting, and the Ark of Testimony, and the propitiatory covering which [is] on it, and all the vessels of the tent,
8 itafula lezitsha zalo, uluthi lwesibane lwegolide elicolekileyo lezitsha zalo zonke, i-alithari lempepha,
and the table and its vessels, and the pure lampstand and all its vessels, and the altar of the incense,
9 i-alithari lomnikelo wokutshiswa kanye lezitsha zalo zonke, lomkolo kanye lezinyawo zawo
and the altar of the burnt-offering and all its vessels, and the laver and its base,
10 lezembatho ezelukiweyo, lezembatho ezingcwele zika-Aroni umphristi kanye lezembatho zamadodana akhe ezomsebenzi wabo wobuphristi,
and the colored garments, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for acting as priests in;
11 lamafutha okugcobela isikhundla, lempepha enuka mnandi eyeNdawo eNgcwele. Kumele bakwenze njengoba ngikulayile.”
and the anointing oil, and the incense of the spices for the holy place; according to all that I have commanded you—they do.”
12 UThixo wasesithi kuMosi,
And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
13 “Batshele abako-Israyeli uthi, ‘Kumele ligcine amaSabatha ami. Lokhu kuzakuba luphawu phakathi kwami lani kuzizukulwane zenu ezizayo, ukuze lazi ukuthi mina nginguThixo olenza libengcwele.
“And you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, Surely you keep My Sabbaths, for it [is] a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, YHWH, am sanctifying you;
14 Gcinani iSabatha ngoba lingcwele kini. Lowo olonayo kumele abulawe, lalowo osebenzayo ngalolosuku uzasuswa ebantwini bakibo.
and you have kept the Sabbath, for it [is] holy to you, he who is defiling it is certainly put to death—for any who does work in it—that person has even been cut off from the midst of his people.
15 Umsebenzi kawenziwe okwensuku eziyisithupha, kodwa usuku lwesikhombisa luliSabatha lokuphumula, lungcwele kuThixo. Lowo osebenzayo ngosuku lweSabatha kumele abulawe.
[For] six days work is done, and in the seventh day [is] a Sabbath of holy rest to YHWH; any who does work in the Sabbath day is certainly put to death,
16 Abako-Israyeli kumele bagcine iSabatha, baligcine kuzizukulwane zabo ezizayo njengesivumelwano esingapheliyo.
and the sons of Israel have observed the Sabbath; to keep the Sabbath throughout their generations [is] a perpetual covenant—
17 Lizakuba luphawu phakathi kwami labako-Israyeli nini lanini. Ngoba ngezinsuku eziyisithupha uThixo wenza amazulu lomhlaba, kwathi ngosuku lwesikhombisa waphumula.’”
it [is] a sign between Me and the sons of Israel for all time; for [in] six days YHWH made the heavens and the earth, and in the seventh day He has ceased and is refreshed.”
18 Kwathi lapho uThixo eseqedile ukukhuluma loMosi entabeni yaseSinayi wamnika izibhebhedu ezimbili zamatshe obufakazi, izibhebhedu zamatshe alotshwe ngomunwe kaNkulunkulu.
And He gives to Moses, when He finishes speaking with him in Mount Sinai, two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.
