Kwabase-Efesu 3
1 Ngenxa yalesisizatho, mina Phawuli, isibotshwa sikaKhristu uJesu ngenxa yenu lina bantu beZizweni.
Therefore I Paul, the prisoner of Christ for the sake of you Gentiles,
2 Ngeqiniso selizwile ngokuphathwa komusa kaNkulunkulu engawuphiwayo ngenxa yenu,
if indeed you have heard the economy of the grace of God which is given to me unto you;
3 ukuthi ngaziswa imfihlakalo ngokwambulelwa njengoba sengabhala ngamafitshane.
that according to revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I formerly wrote to you briefly,
4 Nxa libala lokhu lizenelisa ukuzwisisa umbono wami ngemfihlakalo kaKhristu,
according to which you, reading, are able to know my understanding in the mystery of Christ;
5 engazange yaziswe abantu kwezinye izizukulwane njengoba khathesi isiveziwe nguMoya kubapostoli abangcwele bakaNkulunkulu lakubaphrofethi.
which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets through the Spirit;
6 Imfihlakalo le iyikuthi ngevangeli abeZizweni bazindlalifa bekanye labako-Israyeli, amalunga omzimba munye ndawonye, labahlanganyeli kuso isithembiso kuKhristu uJesu.
that the Gentiles are to be fellow-heirs, and the same body, and partakers of the promise of Christ Jesus through the gospel,
7 Mina ngaba yinceku yevangeli leli ngesipho somusa kaNkulunkulu engasiphiwa ngokusebenza kwamandla akhe.
whose minister I became, according to the gift of the grace of God which was given unto me; according to the working of his power.
8 Lanxa ngimncane kulabancane bonke babantu bakaNkulunkulu, umusa lo ngawunikwa: ukuba ngitshumayele kwabeZizweni inotho kaKhristu engacubungulekiyo,
To me, the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9 njalo ngikubeke obala ukuphatha kwami imfihlakalo le eyayifihliwe okweminyaka eminengi eyedlulayo kuNkulunkulu, owadala izinto zonke. (aiōn g165)
and to shine forth what is the economy of the mystery which has been hidden from the ages in God who created all things; (aiōn g165)
10 Injongo yakhe yayiyikuthi ibandla lazise ababusi leziphathamandla zemibuso yasezulwini ngenhlakanipho emangalisayo kaNkulunkulu,
in order that the manifold wisdom of God through the church, may now be made known to the governments and authorities in the heavenlies,
according to the purpose of the ages which he made in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōn g165)
12 Kuye langokukholwa kuye singasondela kuNkulunkulu ngokukhululeka langesibindi.
In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through the faith of him.
13 Ngakho, ngiyalicela ukuba lingalahli ithemba ngenxa yokulihluphekela kwami, okuludumo kini.
Therefore I ask that you faint not in my tribulations in your behalf, which is your glory.
14 Ngenxa yalokhu ngiyaguqa phambi kukaBaba,
For this cause I bow my knees to the Father,
15 lapho yonke imuli yamakholwa asezulwini lasemhlabeni ethola khona ibizo layo.
of whom the whole family in heavens and upon earth is named,
16 Ngikhulekela ukuthi ngenotho yobukhosi bakhe aliqinise ngamandla ngoMoya wakhe ezinhliziyweni zenu
in order that he may grant unto you, according to the riches of his glory, that you be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 ukuze uKhristu ahlale ezinhliziyweni zenu ngokukholwa. Ngikhulekela ukuba ligxile njalo liqine othandweni,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;
18 libe lamandla kanye labangcwele beNkosi bonke ukuba liqedisise ububanzi lobude lokujula kanye lokuzika kothando lukaKhristu,
being rooted and grounded in divine love, in order that you may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height,
19 lokuba lilwazi uthando lolu oludlula ukwazi ukuze ligcwaliswe ngesilinganiso sokugcwala okupheleleyo kukaNkulunkulu.
and to know the divine love of Christ which transcends knowledge, in order that you may be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Ngakho-ke, kuye lowo oyenza okukhulu kakhulu kulalokho esikucelayo kumbe esikucabangayo, ngokwamandla akhe asebenza phakathi kwethu,
And to him who is able to do exceedingly above all things which we ask or think, according to the power working in us,
