1 USolomoni waseqalisa ukwakha ithempeli likaThixo eJerusalema eNtabeni yaseMoriya, lapho uThixo wayeke waziveza khona phambi kukayise uDavida. Kwakusesizeni sokubhulela amabele sika-Onani umJebusi, indawo eyayilungiselelwe nguDavida.
And he began Solomon to build [the] house of Yahweh in Jerusalem on [the] mountain of Moriah where he had appeared to David father his which he had prepared in [the] place of David on [the] threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
2 Waqalisa ukwakha ngosuku lwesibili lwenyanga yesibili ngomnyaka wesine wokubusa kwakhe.
And he began to build in the month second on the second [day] in year four of reign his.
3 Isisekelo sesakhiwo sethempeli likaNkulunkulu esasimiswe nguSolomoni sasizingalo ezingamatshumi ayisithupha ubude baso njalo sibanzi okwezingalo ezingamatshumi amabili (kuyisilinganiso sezingalo zakudala).
And these [are] [the] founding of Solomon to build [the] house of God the length cubits by the measurement former [was] cubits sixty and [the] breadth [was] cubits twenty.
4 Umkhandlwana owawuphambi kwethempeli wawubanzi okwezingalo ezingamatshumi amabili ulingana lowethempeli njalo umude ukuyaphezulu lakho kuzingalo ezingamatshumi amabili. Ngaphakathi wagudula ngegolide elihle.
And the porch which [was] on [the] face of the length on [the] face of [the] breadth of the house [was] cubits twenty and the height [was] one hundred and twenty and he overlaid it from within gold pure.
5 Wabethela indlu yalo enkulu ngamapulanka ephayini wasehuqa ngegolide elicengekileyo wacecisa ngokucomba amalala lemiceco yamaketane.
And - the house great he overlaid wood of cypresses and he overlaid it gold fine and he put up on it palm trees and chains.
6 Wagqizisa ithempeli ngamatshe aligugu. Igolide alisebenzisayo kwakuligolide lePharivayimu.
And he overlaid the house stone[s] precious for beauty and the gold [was] [the] gold of Parvaim.
7 Wasegudula ingaphakathi yophahla lemijabo yakhona, imigubazi, imiduli lezivalo zethempeli ngegolide, njalo wabazela amakherubhi emidulini.
And he overlaid the house the beams the thresholds and walls its and doors its gold and he engraved cherubim on the walls.
8 Wakha iNdawo eNgcwelengcwele, ubude bayo bulingana lobubanzi bethempeli, izingalo ezingamatshumi amabili ubude njalo ezingamatshumi amabili ububanzi bayo. Wagudula ngaphakathi ngamathalenta angamakhulu ayisithupha egolide elicengekileyo.
And he made [the] house of [the] holy place of the holy places length its on [the] face of [the] breadth of the house [was] cubits twenty and breadth its [was] cubits twenty and he overlaid it gold fine to talents six hundred.
9 Izipikili zegolide zilesisindo samashekeli angamatshumi amahlanu. Wabuye wagudula ngegolide izindawo ezingaphezulu.
And [the] weight of nails to shekels fifty gold and the upper rooms he overlaid gold.
10 ENdaweni eNgcwelengcwele wenza amakherubhi abaziweyo wawahuqa ngegolide.
And he made in [the] house of [the] holy place of the holy places cherubim two a work of castings and they overlaid them gold.
11 Amaphiko amakherubhi nxa evulekile eyizingalo ezingamatshumi amabili. Uphiko olulodwa lwekherubhi lakuqala lwaluzingalo ezinhlanu ubude balo njalo luthinta umduli wethempeli, kusithi olunye uphiko, lalo luzingalo ezinhlanu, luthinta uphiko lwelinye ikherubhi.
And [the] wings of the cherubim length their [was] cubits twenty [the] wing of the one [cherub] to cubits five [was] touching [the] wall of the house and the wing other cubits five [was] touching [the] wing of the cherub other.
12 Ngokufananayo uphiko lwekherubhi lesibili lwaluzingalo ezinhlanu ubude balo lalo luthinta omunye umduli wethempeli, njalo kusithi olunye uphiko lalo oluzingalo ezinhlanu ubude balo, luthinta uphiko lwekherubhi lakuqala.
And [the] wing of the cherub one cubits five [was] touching [the] wall of the house and the wing other cubits five [was] clinging to [the] wing of the cherub other.
13 Amaphiko amakherubhi ayechaye okuzingalo ezingamatshumi amabili. Ayemi ngezinyawo zawo, ekhangele indlu enkulu.
[the] wings of The cherubim these [were] spreading out cubits twenty and they [were] standing on feet their and faces their [were] to the inside.
14 Wenza ikhetheni ngelembu eliluhlaza, leliyibubende lelibomvu, langelineni elicolekileyo, welukela imifanekiso yamakherubhi kilo.
And he made the curtain violet and purple and crimson and fine linen and he put up on it cherubim.
15 Ngapha ngaphambi kwethempeli wamisa insika ezimbili, zona zombili zazizinde okwezingalo ezingamatshumi amathathu lanhlanu, ngalinye lilesiduku phezulu esilingana izingalo ezinhlanu.
And he made before the house pillars two cubits thirty and five length and the capital which [was] on top its [was] cubits five.
16 Wenza amaketane aphotheneyo wawabeka phezu kwezinsika. Njalo wenza amaphomegranathi alikhulu wawanamathisela emaketaneni.
And he made chains in the innermost room and he put [them] on [the] top of the pillars and he made pomegranates one hundred and he put [them] on the chains.
17 Wasesakha izinsika zaphansi kwethempeli, eyinye ngezansi eyinye layo ngenyakatho. Insika engezansi wayibiza ngokuthi Jakhini kwathi eyenyakatho wayibiza ngokuthi Bhowazi.
And he set up the pillars on [the] face the temple one from [the] south and one from the north and he called [the] name of (the south [one] *Q(K)*) Jakin and [the] name of the north [one] Boaz.
