1 UPhethro, umpostoli kaJesu Khristu, Kwabakhethiweyo bakaNkulunkulu, lasezihambini emhlabeni labahlakazekileyo kulolonke elasePhontusi, laseGalathiya, laseKhaphadokhiya, lase-Ezhiya kanye laseBhithiniya,
Peter an apostle of Jesus Christ To [the] elect sojourners of [the] Dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 abakhethwe ngokumayelana lokwazi mandulo kukaNkulunkulu uBaba, ngomsebenzi ongcwelisayo kaMoya, ngokulalela uJesu Khristu langokuchelwa ngegazi lakhe: Umusa lokuthula kakube ngokwenu ngokwandileyo.
according to [the] foreknowledge of God [the] Father by [the] sanctification of [the] Spirit unto [the] obedience and sprinkling of [the] blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace would be multiplied.
3 Udumo kalube kuNkulunkulu uYise weNkosi yethu uJesu Khristu! Ngenxa yesihawu sakhe esikhulu usinike ukuzalwa kutsha ethembeni eliphilayo ngokuvuka kwabafileyo kukaJesu Khristu,
Blessed [be] the God and Father of the Lord of us Jesus Christ, the [One] according to the great of Him mercy having begotten again us to a hope living through [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ out from [the] dead,
4 kanye laselifeni elingasoze libole, lonakale loba libune njalo eliligcinelweyo ezulwini.
to an inheritance imperishable and undefiled and unfading reserved in [the] heavens for (you *NK(O)*)
5 Ngokukholwa livikelwe ngamandla kaNkulunkulu kuze kufike ukusindiswa okulungiselwe ukubonakaliswa ngesikhathi sokucina.
who by [the] power of God [are] being guarded through faith for [the] salvation ready to be revealed in [the] time last;
6 Liyathokoza kakhulu ngalokhu lanxa like lahlupheka okwesikhatshana ngezinsizi zezinhlobo zonke zezilingo.
in which you greatly rejoice for a little while at present, if being necessary it is, (having been put to grief *NK(o)*) by various trials
7 Zifikile ukuze ukukholwa kwenu okulinganisiweyo, okuqakatheke kakhulu kulegolide, elonakalayo lanxa licengwe ngomlilo kubonakaliswe kuqotho njalo kulethe ukubonga, lenkazimulo kanye lodumo lapho uJesu Khristu esebonakaliswa.
so that the proven genuineness of your faith (more precious *N(k)O*) than gold which is perishing through fire though being refined it may be discovered towards praise and (towards *o*) glory and honor in [the] revelation of Jesus Christ;
8 Lanxa lingambonanga, liyamthanda; njalo lanxa lingamboni khathesi, liyakholwa kuye njalo ligcwele intokozo engakhulumekiyo lemangalisayo,
whom not (having seen *N(k)O*) you love, on whom now [though] not seeing believing now (you yourself rejoice *NK(o)*) with joy inexpressible and glory-filled,
9 ngoba lamukela umvuzo wokukholwa kwenu, ukusindiswa kwemiphefumulo yenu.
receiving the outcome of the faith of you, [the] salvation of [your] souls;
10 Mayelana lokusindiswa lokhu, abaphrofethi abakhuluma ngomusa owawuzakuza kini, badingisisa ngesineke esikhulu,
Concerning this salvation sought out and searched out diligently [the] prophets of the toward you grace having prophesied,
11 bezama ukwazi isikhathi lomumo okwakutshiwo nguMoya kaKhristu owayekubo lapho atsho mandulo ngezinhlupheko zikaKhristu lenkazimulo eyayizalandela.
inquiring into what or what manner of time was signifying the in them Spirit of Christ testifying beforehand unto Christ's sufferings and the after these glories;
12 Kwabonakaliswa kubo ukuthi bona babengazisebenzeli kodwa besebenzela lina lapho babekhuluma ngezinto khathesi eselizitshelwe yilabo abatshumayele ivangeli kini ngoMoya oNgcwele owathunywa evela ezulwini. Lezingilosi ziyafisa ukuzibona lezizinto.
to whom it was revealed that not themselves (you *N(K)O*) however they were serving in those things which now have been proclaimed to you through those having evangelised you by [the] Spirit Holy having been sent from heaven, into which desire angels to look.
13 Ngakho-ke, lungiselani ingqondo zenu okungenziwa; zithibeni; bekani ithemba lenu ngokupheleleyo emuseni elizawuthola lapho uJesu Khristu esebonakaliswa.
Therefore having girded up the loins of the mind of you, being sober-minded, fully do set [your] hope upon which is being brought to you grace in [the] revelation of Jesus Christ.
14 Njengabantwana abalalelayo lingavumeli izinkanuko ezimbi elalilazo lingakazi.
as children of obedience not fashioning yourselves to the former in the ignorance of you desires,
15 Kodwa njengoba lowo owalibizayo engcwele, ngakho wobani ngcwele kukho konke elikwenzayo;
But as the [One] having called you [is] holy also yourselves holy in all [your] conduct do be,
16 ngoba kulotshiwe ukuthi: “Wobani ngcwele ngoba mina ngingcwele.”
because it has been written: (that *no*) Holy (you will be, *N(k)(o)*) because I myself holy (am. *NK*)
17 Njengoba likhuleka kuYihlo owahlulela imisebenzi yomuntu ngamunye kungekho bandlululo, philani impilo yenu lapha njengezihambi ngokuhlonipha.
And if [as] Father you call on the [One] impartially judging according to the of each work, in fear during the of the sojourn of you time do conduct yourselves;
18 Ngoba liyakwazi ukuthi kalihlengwanga ngezinto ezifayo ezinjengegolide lesiliva endleleni yokuphila eyize elakutshiyelwa ngokhokho benu,
knowing that not by perishable things — by silver or by gold — you were redeemed from the futile of you manner of life handed down from [your] fathers,
19 kodwa ngegazi eliligugu likaKhristu imvana engelacala loba isici.
but by [the] precious blood as of a lamb without blemish and without spot of Christ,
20 Wakhethwa umhlaba ungakadalwa, kodwa wabonakaliswa ngalezi izikhathi zokucina ngenxa yenu.
foreknown indeed before [the] foundation [the] world, having been revealed however in ([this] last *N(k)O*) of the times for the sake of you
21 Ngaye liyakholwa kuNkulunkulu, owamvusa kwabafileyo wamnika inkazimulo, ngakho ukukholwa kwenu lethemba kukuNkulunkulu.
who through Him (believing *N(k)O*) in God, the [one] having raised up Him out from [the] dead and glory Him having given, so as for the faith of you and hope to be in God.
22 Njengoba khathesi selizihlambulule ngokulalela iqiniso ukuze libe lothando oluqotho kubazalwane benu, thandanani kakhulu, kusuka enhliziyweni.
The souls of you having purified by obedience to the truth (through spirit *K*) unto brotherly love sincere out of purity of heart one another do love fervently;
23 Ngoba selizelwe kutsha, kungasikho ngenhlanyelo ebolayo, kodwa ngengaboliyo, ngelizwi eliphilayo eliqinileyo likaNkulunkulu. (aiōn g165)
born again not of seed perishable but of imperishable through [the] word living of God and abiding (into the age; *K*) (aiōn g165)
24 Ngoba, “Abantu bonke banjengotshani, bonke ubukhosi babo bunjengamaluba eganga; utshani buyabuna njalo amaluba ayakhithika,
because All flesh [is] like grass, and all [the] glory (of it *N(K)O*) like [the] flower of grass; Withers the grass, and the flower (of him *K*) falls away;
