1 Mayelana lomnikelo onikelelwa abantu bakaNkulunkulu: Yenzani lokhu engatshela amabandla aseGalathiya ukuba akwenze.

and perhaps I may remain, or even spend the winter with you, that ye may set me forward on my journey whithersoever I may be going.

7 Kangifisi ukulibona khathesi ngilethekelela okwesikhatshana nje; ngithemba ngizahlala lani okwesikhathi esithile, nxa iNkosi ivuma.

For I am unwilling to see you now in passing; for I hope to stay some time with you if the Lord permit.

8 Kodwa ngizahlala e-Efesu kuze kufike iPhentekhosti,

But I shall remain at Ephesus until the Pentecost;

9 ngoba ngivulelwe umnyango omkhulu womsebenzi ophumelelayo, njalo banengi abangiphikisayo.

for a door hath been opened to me great and effective, and there are many adversaries.

10 UThimothi angafika, libone ukuthi akulalutho alwesabayo eseselani ngoba uqhubeka ngomsebenzi weNkosi njengami.

Now if Timothy come, see that he be with you without fear; for he is laboring in the work of the Lord, as I am;

11 Ngakho akungabi lomuntu owalayo ukumamukela. Medluliseni ngokuthula ukuze abuye kimi. Ngimlindele kanye labazalwane.

let no one therefore despise him. But conduct him on in peace, that he may come to me; for I am waiting for him with the brethren.

12 Mayelana lomzalwane wethu u-Apholo: Ngamncenga kakhulu ukuba eze kini labazalwane. Ubengafisi ukuhamba khathesi kodwa uzahamba lapho eselethuba.

As regards Apollos, the brother, I urged him much to come to you with the brethren; and it was not at all his will to come at this time; but he will come when he hath a convenient opportunity.

13 Lindani; qinani ekukholweni kwenu; libe ngabantu abalesibindi, wobani lamandla.

Watch, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong;

14 Yenzani konke ngothando.

let all your doings be in love.

15 Liyakwazi ukuthi abendlu KaStefane baba ngamakholwa akuqala e-Akhayiya njalo sebazinikela emsebenzini wabantu beNkosi. Ngiyalincenga, bazalwane,

And I exhort you, brethren, —ye know the family of Stephanas, that they are the first-fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the holy, —

16 ukuba lizinikele kwabanjengalaba lakubo bonke abahlanganyela emsebenzini basebenze khona.

that ye submit yourselves to such as they are, and to every one that worketh with us, and laboreth.

17 Ngathokoza ekufikeni kukaStefane loFothunathu kanye lo-Akhayikhu ngoba balethe obekusilela kuvela kini.

I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus; for what was lacking on your part, they supplied;

18 Ngoba bavuselela umoya wami kanye lowenu. Abantu abanjalo bafanele ukuqakathekiswa.

for they refreshed my spirit and yours. Pay regard then to those that are such.

19 Amabandla asesifundeni sase-Ezhiya ayalibingelela. U-Akhwila loPhrisila ngokuthokoza eNkosini bayalibingelela kakhulu, lenza njalo lebandla elihlanganela endlini yabo.

The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Prisca, with the church that is in their house, send you many salutations in the Lord.

20 Bonke abazalwane abalapha bayalibingelela. Bingelelanani ngokwangana okungcwele.

All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss.

21 Mina, Phawuli, ngiloba ukubingelela lokhu ngesami isandla.

The salutation of me, Paul, with my own hand.

22 Nxa umuntu engayithandi iNkosi, kehlelwe yisithuko. Woza, awu Nkosi!

If any one loveth not the Lord, let him be accursed! The Lord is at hand.

23 Umusa weNkosi uJesu kawube lani.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.

24 Uthando lwami kini lonke kuKhristu uJesu. Ameni.
