1 Mayelana lezipho zikamoya, bazalwane, kangifuni ukuba lingaze lazi.

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

2 Liyakwazi ukuthi ngesikhathi lingakabi ngabakholwayo, ngezinye indlela laholelwa njalo ledukiselwa ezithombeni eziyizimungulu.

Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

3 Ngakho ngiyalitshela ukuthi kakho okhuluma ngoMoya kaNkulunkulu othi, “UJesu kathukwe,” njalo kakho ongathi, “UJesu yiNkosi,” ngaphandle kokuba kungoMoya oNgcwele.

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of YHWH calleth Yahushua accursed: and that no man can say that Yahushua is the Master, but by the Holy Spirit.

4 Kulenhlobo ezehlukeneyo zezipho zikamoya kodwa uMoya munye.

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 Kulezindlela ezehlukeneyo zokukhonza, kodwa iNkosi yinye.

And there are differences of administrations, but the same Master.

6 Kulezindlela ezehlukeneyo zokukhonza kodwa uNkulunkulu munye njalo uzisebenza zonke ebantwini bonke.

And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same Elohim which worketh all in all.

7 Emuntwini ngamunye ukubonakaliswa kukaMoya kwenzelwa ukusiza umuntu wonke.

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 Omunye ngoMoya uphiwa amandla okukhuluma ngokuhlakanipha, omunye amandla okukhuluma ngokwazi ngaye uMoya munye lowo,

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 omunye uphiwa ukukholwa ngoMoya munye lowo, omunye uphiwa izipho zokusilisa ngawona lowo Moya munye,

To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 omunye uphiwa amandla okwenza izimangaliso, omunye uphiwa ukuphrofitha, omunye uphiwa amandla okuhlola omoya, omunye njalo aphiwe ukuchasisa izindimi.

To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 Konke lokhu kungumsebenzi kaMoya munye, njalo ukupha umuntu ngamunye, njengokuthanda kwakhe.

But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

12 Umzimba munye lanxa ubunjwe ngezitho ezinengi; njalo lanxa izitho zawo zonke zinengi, zibumba umzimba owodwa. Kunjalo ngoKhristu.

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is the Messiah.

13 Ngoba sonke sabhaphathizwa ngoMoya munye kulowomzimba munye, loba singamaJuda kumbe abeZizwe, izigqili loba abakhululekileyo, sonke saphiwa uMoya munye ukuba siwunathe.

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14 Umzimba kawenziwanga ngesitho esisodwa kodwa ezinengi.

For the body is not one member, but many.

15 Nxa unyawo lungathi, “Njengoba ngingasisandla, kangisingxenye yomzimba,” ngalesosizatho alungeke lwekele ukuba yingxenye yomzimba.

If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

16 Njalo nxa indlebe ingathi, “Njengoba ngingasilihlo, kangisingxenye yomzimba,” ngalesosizatho ayingeke yekele ukuba yingxenye yomzimba.

And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

17 Aluba umzimba wonke wawulilihlo, pho ukuzwa kwakuzakuba ngaphi na? Aluba umzimba wonke wawuyindlebe, pho kwakuzanukwa ngani na?

If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

18 Kodwa okuyikho yikuthi uNkulunkulu wabeka izitho zomzimba, zonke, njengayefune ukuba zibe yikho khona.

But now hath Elohim set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

19 Aluba zonke zaziyisitho sinye, pho umzimba wawuzakuba ngaphi na?

And if they were all one member, where were the body?

20 Njengoba kunjalo, kulezitho ezinengi, kodwa umzimba munye.

But now are they many members, yet but one body.

21 Ilihlo alingeke lithi esandleni, “Kangikudingi!” Lekhanda alingeke lithi enyaweni, “Kangikudingi!”

And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22 Kodwa, lezozitho zomzimba ezikhanya zibuthakathaka ziyadingeka,

Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

23 lezitho thina esicabanga ukuthi kazihlonipheki kakhulu siziphatha ngokuhlonipha okuthize.

And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

24 Izitho ezihloniphisayo siziphatha ngokuhlonipha kakhulu. Kodwa uNkulunkulu wahlanganisa izitho zomzimba njalo usenike udumo olukhulu kulezozitho ezazingelalo,

For our comely parts have no need: but Elohim hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:

25 ukuze kungabi lokwehlukana emzimbeni, kodwa ukuba izitho zawo zibe lokuzwelana okufananayo.

That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

26 Nxa esinye isitho sibongwa, izitho zonke zithokoza laso.

And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Lina lingumzimba kaKhristu njalo omunye lomunye wenu uyingxenye yawo.

Now ye are the body of the Messiah, and members in particular.

28 Ebandleni uNkulunkulu wabeka abapostoli kuqala kulabo bonke, okwesibili abaphrofethi, okwesithathu abafundisi, kwaba labenza izimangaliso, lalabo abalezipho zokusilisa, abalezokusiza abanye, abalezipho zokuthungamela, kanye lalabo abakhuluma inhlobo zezindimi ezehlukeneyo.

And YHWH hath set some in the assembly, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

29 Bonke bangabapostoli na? Bonke bangabaphrofethi na? Bonke bangabafundisi na? Bonke bayazenza izimangaliso na?

Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

30 Bonke balezipho zokusilisa na? Bonke bakhuluma ngendimi na? Bonke bayachasisa na?

Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

31 Kodwa zifuneni ngokutshiseka izipho ezinkulu. Khathesi-ke ngizalitshengisa indlela eyiyo enhle kakhulu.

But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
