1 Amadodana ka-Isakhari yila: nguThola, loPhuwa, loJashubi loShimroni, bonke babebane.

And sons of Issachar: Tola, and Puah, Jashub, and Shimron—four.

2 Amadodana kaThola yila: ngu-Uzi, loRefaya, loJeriyeli, loJahamali, lo-Ibhisamu loSamuyeli, bonke bezinhloko zezindlu zabo. Ngezinsuku uDavida esabusa, abosendo lukaThola abangamadoda aselindele impi ngoluhlu lokuzalana kwabo, babengamadoda ayezinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amabili lambili lamakhulu ayisithupha.

And sons of Tola: Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, and Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of the house of their fathers, [even] of Tola, mighty men of valor in their generations; their number in the days of David [is] twenty-two thousand and six hundred.

3 Indodana ka-Uzi kungu: Izrahiya. Amadodana ka-Izrahiya yila: nguMikhayeli, lo-Obhadaya, loJoweli lo-Ishiya. Ngobuhlanu babo babezinduna.

4 Ngoluhlu lokuzalana kwabo, babelamadoda azinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amathathu lesithupha ayeselungele ukuthi angaphuma ayekulwa impi, ngoba babelabafazi labantwana abanengi.

And beside them, by their generations, of the house of their fathers, [are] thirty-six thousand troops of the host of battle, for they multiplied wives and sons;

5 Abayizihlobo abesilisa abasebefanele ukuthi bangaya empini bengabosendo luka-Isakhari, ngoluhlu lokuzalana kwabo, sebendawonye babezinkulungwane ezingamatshumi ayisificaminwembili lesikhombisa.

and their brothers of all the families of Issachar, mighty men of valor, listed by their genealogy, [are] eighty-seven thousand for the whole.

6 Amadodana kaBhenjamini amathathu yila: nguBhela, loBhekheri loJediyeli.

Of Benjamin: Bela, and Becher, and Jediael—three.

7 Amadodana kaBhela yila: ngu-Ezibhoni, lo-Uzi, lo-Uziyeli, loJerimothi lo-Iri, babebahlanu bonke, bezinhloko zezindlu zabo. Bona-ke ngoluhlu losendo lwabo babelamadoda ayelungele ukulwa empini azinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amabili lambili lamatshumi amathathu lane.

And sons of Bela: Ezbon, and Uzzi, and Uzziel, and Jerimoth, and Iri—five; heads of a house of fathers, mighty men of valor, with their genealogy, twenty-two thousand and thirty-four.

8 Amadodana kaBhekheri yila: nguZemira, loJowashi, lo-Eliyezeri, lo-Eliyonayi, lo-Omri, loJeremothi, lo-Abhija, lo-Anathothi kanye lo-Alemethi. Wonke la kwakungamadodana kaBhekheri.

And sons of Becher: Zemirah, and Joash, and Eliezar, and Elioenai, and Omri, and Jerimoth, and Abijah, and Anathoth, and Alameth. All these [are] sons of Becher,

9 Imbali yoluhlu lwezimuli zababezinhloko zemindeni ibalisa ukuthi babengabantu abazinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amabili lamakhulu amabili amadoda empi.

with their genealogy, after their generations, heads of a house of their fathers, mighty men of valor, twenty thousand and two hundred.

10 Indodana kaJediyeli kwakunguBhilihani. Amadodana kaBhilihani yila: nguJewushi, loBhenjamini, lo-Ehudi, loKhenana, loZethani, loThashishi kanye lo-Ahishahari.

And sons of Jediael: Bilhan; and sons of Bilhan: Jeush, and Benjamin, and Ehud, and Chenaanah, and Zethan, and Tarshish, and Ahishahar.

11 Wonke lamadodana kaJediyeli ayeyizinhloko zezindlu zawo. Kwakulamadoda ayesefanele ukubuthwa ayekulwa empini azinkulungwane ezilitshumi lesikhombisa, lamakhulu amabili.

All these [are] sons of Jediael, even heads of the fathers, mighty in valor, seventeen thousand and two hundred going out to the host for battle.

12 AmaShuphimu lamaHuphimu ayengawosendo luka-Iri, lamaHushimu engawosendo luka-Aheri.

And Shuppim and Huppim [are] sons of Ir, [and] Hushim [is] the son of Aher.

13 Amadodana kaNafithali yila: nguJaziyeli, loGuni, loJezeri kanye loShalumi, abosendo lukaBhiliha.

Sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shallum, sons of Bilhah.

14 Abosendo lukaManase yilaba: ngu-Asiriyeli amzala lomfazi weceleni ongumʼAramu. Wazala uMakhiri uyise kaGiliyadi.

Sons of Manasseh: Ashriel, whom Jaladah his Aramean concubine bore, with Machir father of Gilead.

15 UMakhiri wathatha umfazi ozalwa ngamaHuphimu lamaShuphimu. Udadewabo kwakunguMahakha. Omunye owosendo kwakunguZelofehadi owazala amankazana kuphela.

And Machir took wives for Huppim and for Shuppim, and the name of the first [is] Maachah, and the name of the second Zelophehad, and Zelophehad has daughters.

16 UmkaMakhiri uMahakha wazala indodana yathiwa nguPhereshi. Umfowabo yena wethiwa ibizo elithi Shereshi, njalo amadodana akhe kwakungu-Ulamu loRakhemu.

And Maachah wife of Machir bears a son and calls his name Peresh, and the name of his brother [is] Sheresh, and his sons [are] Ulam and Rakem.

17 Indodana ka-Ulamu kungu: Bhedani. La ngamadodana kaGiliyadi, indodana kaMakhiri, indodana kaManase.

And son of Ulam: Bedan. These [are] sons of Gilead son of Machir, son of Manasseh.

18 Udadewabo uHamolekhethi wazala u-Ishodi, lo-Abhiyezeri loMahila.

And his sister Hammolecheth bore Ishhod, and Abiezer, and Mahalah.

19 Amadodana kaShemida yila: ngu-Ahiyani, loShekhemu, loLikhi kanye lo-Aniyami.

And the sons of Shemida are Ahian, and Shechem, and Likhi, and Aniam.

20 Abosendo luka-Efrayimi yilaba: nguShuthela, loBheredi indodana yakhe, loThahathi indodana yakhe, lo-Eleyada indodana yakhe, loThahathi indodana yakhe,

And sons of Ephraim: Shuthelah, and Bered his son, and Tahath his son, and Eladah his son, and Tahath his son,

21 loZabhadi indodana yakhe kanye loShuthela indodana yakhe. (U-Ezeri lo-Eliyadi babulawa ngababezalwa eGathi, baze bayethumba izifuyo zabo.

and Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and Ezer, and Elead; and men of Gath who are born in the land have slain them because they came down to take their livestock.

22 Uyise u-Efrayimi wabalilela okwensuku ezinengi, izihlobo zakhe zabuya ukuzomduduza.

And their father Ephraim mourns many days, and his brothers come to comfort him,

and he goes in to his wife, and she conceives and bears a son, and he calls his name Beriah, because his house had been in calamity—

and his daughter [is] Sherah, and she builds Beth-Horon, the lower and the upper, and Uzzen-Sherah—

25 URefa wayeyindodana yakhe, loReshefi indodana yakhe, loThela indodana yakhe, loThahani indodana yakhe,

Rephah [is] his son, and Resheph, and Telah his son, and Tahan his son,

26 loLadani indodana yakhe, lo-Amihudi indodana yakhe, lo-Elishama indodana yakhe,

Laadan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,

27 loNuni indodana yakhe kanye loJoshuwa indodana yakhe.

Nun his son, Joshua his son.

28 Amazwe lemizi yabo yayihlanganisa iBhetheli lemizana eseduzane, iNaharani empumalanga, iGezeri lemizana yayo kusiya entshonalanga, iShekhemu lemizana yayo kusiyafika e-Aya lemizana yayo.

And their possession and their dwellings [are] Beth-El and its small towns, and Naaran to the east, and Gezer and its small towns to the west, and Shechem and its small towns, as far as Gaza and its small towns;

29 Emingceleni yakwelakoManase kuleBhethi-Shani, leThanakhi, leMegido, kanye leDori lemizana yakhona. Ababehlala kulimizi ngabosendo lukaJosefa indodana ka-Israyeli.

and by the parts of the sons of Manasseh [are] Beth-Shean and its small towns, Taanach and its small towns, Megiddo and its small towns, Dor and its small towns; the sons of Joseph, son of Israel, dwelt in these.

30 Amadodana ka-Asheri yila: ngu-Imna, lo-Ishiva, lo-Ishivi kanye loBheriya. Udadewabo kunguSera.

Son of Asher: Imnah, and Ishve, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and their sister Serah.

31 Amadodana kaBheriya yila: nguHebheri loMalikhiyeli uyise kaBhirizayithi.

And sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel—he [is] father of Birzavith.

32 UHebheri wayenguyise kaJafilethi, loShomeri loHothamu kanye lodadewabo uShuwa.

And Heber begot Japhlet, and Shomer, and Hotham, and their sister Shua.

33 Amadodana kaJafilethi yila: nguPasaki, loBhimihali kanye lo-Ashivathi. Laba kwakungamadodana kaJafilethi.

And sons of Japhlet: Pasach, and Bimhal, and Ashvath; these [are] sons of Japhlet.

34 Amadodana kaShomeri yila: ngu-Ahi, loRohiga, loHubha kanye lo-Aramu.

And sons of Shamer: Ahi, and Rohgah, Jehubbah, and Aram.

35 Amadodana omfowabo uHelemu yila: nguZofa, lo-Imna, loSheleshi kanye lo-Amali.

And [each] son of his brother Helem: Zophah, and Imna, and Shelesh, and Amal.

36 Amadodana kaZofa yila: nguSuwa, loHarineferi, loShuwali, loBheri, lo-Imra,

Sons of Zophah: Suah, and Harnepher, and Shual, and Beri, and Imrah,

37 loBhezeri, loHodi, loShama, loShilisha, lo-Ithirani kanye loBhera.

Bezer, and Hod, and Shamma, and Shilshah, and Ithran, and Beera.

38 Amadodana kaJetha yila: nguJefune, loPhisipha kanye lo-Ara.

And sons of Jether: Jephunneh, and Pispah, and Ara.

39 Amadodana ka-Ula yila: ngu-Ara, loHaniyeli kanye loRiziya.

And sons of Ulla: Arah, and Hanniel, and Rezia.

40 Bonke laba babengabosendo luka-Asheri bezinhloko zendlu ngendlu, amadoda akhethiweyo, amabutho alesibindi njalo bengabakhokheli abalokuhlakanipha. Inani lamadoda ayesefanele ukubuthwa aye empini, kusiya ngoluhlu losendo lwakwabo, kwakuzinkulungwane ezingamatshumi amabili lesithupha.

All these [are] sons of Asher, heads of the house of the fathers, chosen ones, mighty in valor, heads of the princes, with their genealogy, for the host, for battle, their number [is] twenty-six thousand men.
