< Roomte 7 >

1 Nga joonte loong, ngah ih baat rumha jengkhaap ah sen ih esamjat jaatjaat ete, tumeah sen ih Hootthe tiit ah ejat ehan. Hootthe ih mina ah ethingtong pootdoh luulu pan ah.
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law, ) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 Jengthaak ih, minuh nookcho ah, heh sawah ething mathan ih tong ah erah pootdoh ba song ah; enoothong heh sawah ah ti ano ba, minuh ah hootthe jun ih heh sawah damdi songta dowa ah sakchaak ih hoon ah.
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to [her] husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of [her] husband.
3 Lah angka bah, heh sawah ething tokdoh wahoh damdoh mok chosong abah, erah nuh asuh Hootthe jun ih roomjup matkapte et li ah; enoothong heh sawah ah ti abah, heh ah sakchaak ih hoon ah eno wahoh damdoh we chosong abah roomjup mat ah takah jeeka.
So then if, while [her] husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 Nga joonte loong, sen doh uh emamah angla, maatok doh Hootthe ah je ah, sen loong nep uh etek ejih ang an, tumeah sen ah Kristo hepuh hesak ni esiit; eno amadi sen ah tek nawa ngaakthingte wah heh raangtaan ih hoon lan, Rangte mootkaat adoh seng loong chap suh ah.
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, [even] to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 Tumeah seng hansi tenthun jun ih tongsongti adi, seng sak nawa rangdah tenthun loong ah Hootthe ih boot jatthuk ha, eno seng moti loong ah thoontang etek nah thoon ah.
For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 Enoothong amadi bah, seng ah Hootthe nawa epui eti, tumeah seng phaatak ni sak tahe ah etek nawa ih jenti. Seng loong ehak Hootthe raangthiinta jun ih takah moke, erah nang ih bah ena Chiiala lam ih moh ih.
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not [in] the oldness of the letter.
7 Erah ang abah ah, rangdah ah Hootthe ni ejen li tam et ih? Tami liike! Erah nang ih bah rangdah ah tumjih ah ih Hootthe ih thong jatthuk halang. Hootthe ih, “Mih hukkhaak suh nak lungwaang uh,” ih lamok baatta bah, erah likhiik tenthun ah lajat thang ih moktong thengtang.
What shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 Erah jengdang thoih ba rangdah rah ih jat ano nga ten ni jaatrep nyamnyook tenthun ah hukdong thukla. Hootthe ah lah angta bah, rangdah abah tekmang.
But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin [was] dead.
9 Ngah teeteewah uh ehak di Hootthe muh ih tongtang; enoothong jengdang ah dong haano, rangdah ah dongthingta,
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 eno ngah ah tekmang ih dongjat tang. Eno marah jengdang ih ngah suh roidong kotjih angta rah ih, etek ah jatthuk tahang.
And the commandment, which [was ordained] to life, I found [to be] unto death.
11 Rangdah rah ih lampo ah choh ano, nyia jengdang jun ih mokwaan hangno tek haat tahang.
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew [me].
12 Erah ang abah, Hootthe nyi jengdang ah esa, kateng, nyia ese nep.
Wherefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 Enoothong marah ese rah ih tekthuk halang ih liijih tama? Emah tah angka! Erah reete ah Rangdah angta; jengdang ah maak ano rangdah ih tekthuk tahang, tumthoi ah liidi rangdah ah rangdah jaatjaat ih noisok suh ah. Erah raang ih rangdah ah echoojih ehan han ih hoonla ih jengdang nawa ih noisok hali.
Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14 Seng ih jat ehi Hootthe ah moong achaang; enoothong ngah hansi mina, rangdah suh heh dah ang raangtaan ih sang tahang rah.
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15 Ngah ih nga tumjaat reeraanglang rah tasamjat kang; erah thoidi ngah marah reejih angta rah lareethang ih; marah ngah ih chiik hang erah ah reelang.
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 Ngah lareejih ah reekang no Hootthe ah epun ju angka ih thang hang.
If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that [it is] good.
17 Erah thoidi marah ngah ethih reelang erah ngah tareekang; nga sak ni tongte rangdah rah ih reethuk halang.
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 Ngah ih jat ehang— nga hansi dang ajang adi ese ah taroong tong ra. Nga ese reethung taat angang bah uh, erah ah ngah tajen reekang.
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh, ) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not.
19 Eseejih re suh ngah taat nooktang ah tareekang; erah nang ih bah marah ethih re suh lataat nooktang ah reelang.
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Ngah marah lareejih ah mok re ang bah; erah langla nga teewah tareekang nga sak ni tongla rangdah rah ih reethuk halang.
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 Eno arah hootthe ah nga roidong di moh ruh ela: mabah ngah ih ese reeraang ah taatthun koleh ethih ah reejih ih hoonla.
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 Nga chiiala ah Rangte Hootthe asuh rapne ih roonla.
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 Enoothong ngaapuh ngaasak ni Hootthe jaat hoh moh arah japtup hang marah ngaathung ngaatak ni thunhang adi daan muila ra ah. Erah ih ngaapuh ngaasak ah rangdah hootthe phaatak adi tangsak halang.
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 Ngah ah tumthan thungjoong theng ah! Arah puh asak ah ih tek lam nah siit hang adoh o ih jen panghang?
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 Rangte suh lakookmi liihang, Teesu Jisu Kristo jun ih arah reekot thoi ah! Erah thoidi, ngah di amangla: nga teewah ih Rangte hootthe ah ngaathung ngaatak jun ih jen moh ang, rangdah hootthe abah nga hansi puh asak nawa ih moh ah.
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
