1 Sen jaachi ni rookmui jengmui loong ah manawa thok hala? Erah loong ah hansi tenroon raangtaan ih sen ten ni tongthuk thoidi, sen jaachi ni rookmui jengmui pak anglan.
Where do the wars and disputes among you come from? Is it not precisely from your pleasures, the ones at war in your members?
2 Sen loong ah ih jirep ah jam han, enoothong erah loong ah tachoh kan, erah thoidi tek haat esuh bansok han; sen loong ah ih chichangchang taat jam han, enoothong erah loong ah tachoh kan, erah tungkaangdi changrook anglan. Sen loong ah ih marah jam han tachoh kan tiimnge liidi sen ih Rangte jiin nawa erah tasuh kan.
You crave and do not have; you murder and covet and are not able to obtain; you fight and war. You do not have because you do not ask.
3 Adoleh mabah suh an erah di tachoh kan, tiimnge liidi sen tenthun ah ethih; jirep jaatrep sen ih jam han ah sen teenuh teewah hansi tenroon nah maak suh jam han.
You ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so that you may lavish it on your pleasures.
4 Tuumaang lajeete mina loong! Sen loong ah ih tatam jatkan mongrep damdi joon awaan angla rah Rangte piiara ngeh ah? Sen loong ah ih mongrep damdi joon awaan angsuh liihan abah, sen teenuh teewah ah Rangte piiara ba eh hoon an.
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? So whoever may want to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
5 Rangteele ni amah liiha ah amiisak tah angka ngeh ih nakmok thun an, “Rangte ih seng sak ni Chiiala tong thukla rah ih ramram ih thun ha.”
Or do you suppose that the Scripture says in vain that the Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously?
6 Enoothong Rangte ih tenthet kohali ah erah nang eh ju echaan thoon. Rangteele ni amah liiha, “Rangte ih khuupookte ah tanookka enoothong toongtang loong ah suh minchan koha.”
But He gives greater grace; therefore He says: “God resists proud ones, but gives grace to humble ones.”
7 Erah raangtaan ih sen teenuh teewah ah Rangte suh look an. Hakhoh luuwang ah naknop thuk an, eno sen reenawa heh esoon e ah.
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
8 Rangte reenah thok han, eno heh sen reenah thok ha. Rangdah mina sen loong ah ih, sen lak ah saatiihaat ih an! Lonoite sen loong ah ih, senten senmong ah esa angthuk an!
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Sinners, cleanse your hands! Double-minded, purify your hearts!
9 Thungthet e an, ehu e an, mikphi janhaat an; ten ni engit e lan ah ehu e thuk an, sen tenroon ah nak roon thuk an!
Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into dejection.
10 Sen teenuh teewah Teesu ngathong nah ehin ih hoon an, sen loong ah tonjoot ehan.
Humble yourself before the Lord and He will exalt you.
11 Phoh ano loong, wasiit ih wasiit nak lenmakmui theng. An ih Kristaan wahoh mok lenmak ubah adoleh dande ubah, an ih Hootthe ba lenmak hu adoleh dande hu. An ih Hootthe dande ubah, Hootthe kapte takah angko, enoothong Hootthe dandeete ih hoonlu.
Brothers, do not speak evil of one another. Because the one speaking against a brother and judging his brother speaks against a law and judges a law. So if you judge a law you are not a law-doer but a judge.

The Lawgiver and Judge is One, the one who is able to save and to destroy. So who are you (sg) to be judging someone who is different?

Come now, you who say, “Today and tomorrow let us travel to that certain city, spend a year there, do business and make a profit;”
14 Rangkhah an roidong ah mamah ang ah erah uh tajatko! An weekhot kah nyaamkhoom ah likhiik, erah pootsiit ba khot ah esaapmat eh ah.
whereas you do not know anything about the morrow. For what is our life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time but then vanishes away.
15 Sen loong ah amah jeng theng tan: “Teesu thung ang abah, seng loong ah songtong eno jirep jaatrep moot ah mokah ih.”
Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
16 Enoothong sen loong ah amadi khuupook elan; engaam elan; emah ngaam lan abah tapunka.
But now you boast in your arrogant pretensions. All such boasting is malignant.
17 Erah raangtaan ih, mootse kaatse ah ese ngeh ih jat eno lare keebah, rangdah ni moongli.
Therefore, to the one knowing to do good and not doing it, to him it is sin.
