< Galatiite 3 >

1 Thungko Galati mina loong! Ngo moontoro ih me tahan? Jisu Kristo bangphak ni tiita rah sen mik ih jatririh tup etan!
O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
2 Jaatsiit than baat thaak he: Rangte Chiiala ah Hootthe ih jamha jun ih re anno tam cholan tam aleh ruurangese ah chaat anno hanpi han jun ih cholan?
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Sen erah than thungko mamah ma lah angtan! Rangte Chiiala nawa ih phang motan ah; amadoh senchaan senphaan nawa ih thoon moot ih tam jam han?
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
4 Sen ih timjih jat han erah nawa ih reetan abah tim uh tah angka? Amiisak timjaat bah uh eje mok ang ah!
Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if [it be] yet in vain.
5 Hootthe jun ih re kanno tam aleh ruurangese ah hanpi kanno Chiiala ih sen dung ni mih paatja theng jen re hala?
He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, [doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
6 Abraham ih jatta ah taat jat thaak an; Rangteele ni raangha likhiik ah, “Heh ih Rangte ah hanpi eta, timnge liidih heh tuungmaang jeethoi Rangte ih heh ah kateng eh thiikta.”
Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7 An ih ejat ejih, marah jinni tuungmaang jeela erah mina loong ah Abraham sutoom satoom.
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8 Rangteele ni ban baatta Rangte ih Ranglajatte loong ah neng tuungmaang jun ih heh damdoh jen punthuk ah. Erah thoi Rangteele ni Ruurang Ese ah Abraham suh amah ih baatta: “An jun ih mina loong suh romseetam ah korum ah.”
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, [saying], In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9 Abraham ih hanpiita eno romseetam ah chota; erah raangtaan ih ngo ih heh ah hanpiiha loong asuh romseetam korumta.
So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
10 Marah mina ih Hootthe ah tuungmaang ano tongla erah mina ah romthitam khuinah tong ah. Rangteele ni emah liiha, “Ngo ang ah bah uh saarookwe Hootthe le ni raangha rah lamok kapka bah Rangte jinnah wa romthitam ah choh ah!”
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 Amadi jatririh angla, Hootthe jun eh Rangte damdoh ngo uh tapunka, mamah liidoh Rangteele ni liiha, “Ngo taang ni laalom jeela erah jun ibah Rangte damdoh epun, erah loong aba thingtong ah.”
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 Enoothong Hootthe ih tuungmaang asuh tim etheng uh tah jeeka. Erah thaknang ibah, Rangteele ni raangha jun ih, “Marah Hootthe jun ih raangha thoontang jen mote mina abah thingtong ah.”
And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13 Kristo ih seng cham chojih jaatjaat angti dowa ngaak doksiit tahe; Rangteele ni liiha, “Ngo ang abah uh bang nah mok chiiti abah, erah suh Rangte ih romthih ah tam koh ah.”
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 Kristo ih arah reeta ah langla, Rangte ih Abraham suh kakhamta, romseetam ah Ranglajatte loong suh Jisu Kristo jun ih toom koh ah ngeh ah, erah thoi seng suh kot suh Rangte ih kakhamta Chiiala ah seng tuungmaang jun ih choh ih.
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15 Ngaaphoh ngaano loong, ngah ih saarookwe di eto baat eh hang: wanyi ih sen thung ah room pun thun nyia punroong waan an bah, ngo ih uh edaan uh tajen daan ka ebaat uh tajen wak baatka ang ah.
Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though [it be] but a man’s covenant, yet [if it be] confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
16 Rangte ih Abraham nyia heh sutoom satoom suh kakhamta, Rangteele ni mina hantek “Sutoom satoom loong” suh tah raangka, enoothong esiit luulu “Sutoom satoom” suh liiha, heh men ah, Kristo.
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 Ngah ih liihang ah langla Rangte ih Abraham suh nuumiijeng rah thiinta suh kakhamta ah suh liihang. Hootthe ah paang cha baji paang rookjom lini kota, erah kakham ah tajen phaang ka nyia Rangte nuumiijeng kakhamta ah tah ngaak daan ka ang ah.
And this I say, [that] the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
18 Mamah liidih Rangte lakkot rah Hootthe doh mok nyaang abah, heh kakham adoh takah nyaang ka ang ah. Mamah ang abah uh erah bah Rangte ih kakhamta thoidi lakkot ah Abraham suh kota.
For if the inheritance [be] of the law, [it is] no more of promise: but God gave [it] to Abraham by promise.
19 Erah ang abah, Hootthe ah timjih raangtaan ih angta? Hootthe ah ethih mootkaat loong ah noisok suh angta. Kakham hoonchoi Abraham sutoom satoom maang thokthok hootthe tong ruh eh ah. Hootthe ah rangsah loong jun ih jaachi ni kaamwah likhiik ang thuk rum ano piijah thuk rum taha.
Wherefore then [serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
20 Enoothong, wasiit ah luulu mootkaat ah moh ah bah kaamwah ah tajamka ang ah, eno wasiit luulu ba moh ah; eno Rangte ah esiit.
Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one, but God is one.
21 Rangte ih kakhamta ah Hootthe damdi miksuk angla ngeh tam liiha? Emah tah angka! Mina loong ih roidong jen choh raangtaan ih Hootthe mok jam rum abah, Hootthe jun ih thoontang Rangte damdoh ejen pun et thengta.
[Is] the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22 Rangteele ih liiha mongrep thoontang ah rangdah mong ni angla; eno Rangte ih heh lakkot kot suh kakhamta ah ngo ih Jisu Kristo suh tuungmaang ah erah suh koh ah.
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23 Enoothong tuungmaang saapoot maangthok raadi, Hootthe ih seng loong ah phaatak ni tang khak tahe, tuungmaang saapoot maang thokthok ah.
But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Eno laanglek Kristo maang raakraak Hootthe ah Rangte damdoh seng tuungmaang jun ih pun jun suh seng loong ban pante changte ban ang ra taha.
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 Amadi juuba tuungmaang saapoot ah, Seng loong ah belam bah Hootthe lak ni takah angke.
But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 Sen loong thoontang Rangte suh asah ih hoon lan Jisu suh tuungmaang nyia heh dam di ang jun ih ah.
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 Sen loong ah Jisu damdi juung roongtem an rah mina, amadi sen loong nyuh na kapchoi ang lan, erah langla Kristo roidong di angsuh liiha.
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 Erah raangtaan ih Jehudi nyia Grik loong ah joonsiitsiit, dasah nyia dasah lah ang ka loong ah uh tah danka, minuh miwah uh tah danka; sen loong thoontang Kristo Jisu damdi joonsiitsiit.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 An Kristo mina ang ubah, an Abraham sutoom satoom anglu, eno Rangte ih marah suh kakhamta erah echoh eh uh.
And if ye [be] Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
