Paul, the apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and brother Timothy, to the church of God which is at Corinth, along with all the saints who are in all Achaia:

2 Seng loong Wah Rangte nyia Teesu Jisu Kristo minchan sen damdoh toom tongha adoleh semroongroong ih toomtong an.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Seng Wah Rangte nyia Teesu Jisu Kristo Wah suh lakookmi li ih, seng minchante Wah, heh juuba jirep adi seng moot chosokte Rangte!

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation;

4 Seng chamnaang di heh ih chosok hali, erah thoidi seng chamnaang li likhiik o mina chamnaangla erah jen chosok hi, erah langla Rangte taangnawa chohi ah likhiik ih chosok hi.

the one comforting us in all our tribulation, in order that we may be able to comfort those in all tribulation, through the consolation with which we ourselves are comforted of God,

5 Seng loong ah Kristo mendi rapne ih chamnaangli ah likhiik ih, Rangte taangnawa mootchoh ah uh emamah ih chohi.

because as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation through Christ also abounds.

6 Seng loong chamnaang ebah, erah sen khopi raangtaan nyia sen moot chosok suh; seng loong ah chosok he bah, sen uh chosok ih han eno seng ih naanhi ajih sen ih uh cham anaang ah ejen naan ih an.

But if we are troubled it is in behalf of your consolation and salvation; if we are comforted, it is in behalf of your consolation, working in you through the endurance of the same sufferings which we also suffer.

7 Erah raangtaan ih sen suh lasoot lasaam ih laalomli; seng ih jat ehi sen loong ah seng damdi roong chamnaang halan, erah likhiik sen ih uh seng chosok hali ah likhiik eroong choh ehan.

And our hope is stedfast in your behalf; knowing that, as you are the partakers of the sufferings, so you are also of the consolation.

8 Joonte loong, Esia hani chamchoti ah sen loong asuh jatthuk suh liihi. Seng erah than ih siiwii chamnaangti thingtong esuh ju takah jook laalomti.

For we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning our affliction taking place in Asia, because we were burthened exceedingly, above our power, so that we despaired even of living:

but we had the answer of death in ourselves, in order that we might not trust in ourselves, but in God who raised the dead:

10 Etek ejih choophaanphaan angta dowa heh ih puipang hali, heh ih ju puipang hali; eno sen rangsoom ni chosok hali jun ih seng we puipang ehe,

who delivered us from so great a death, and will deliver: in whom he have hope that he will also yet deliver;

11 sen rangsoom nawa ih seng chosok tahe ah likhiik ah. Erah thoidi mina hantek ih seng suh rangsoom kohali ah echaat eh ah, eno Rangte ih romseetam kot ih he; eno seng loong raangtaan ih mina hantek tui nah heh suh lakookmi liirum ah.

you also cooperating in our behalf in prayer; in order that, the gift which is bestowed upon us from many persons, may through many be a source of thanks given in our behalf.

12 Seng loong khuupookli ah langla, arah mongrep adi sen damdi joonte sano angli roidong ah phanjangjang, eno erah seklilih nyia ladem laju angli ah Rangte lakkot, erah jun ih pan hali adoleh erah mina mongtham nawa tah angka Rangte minchan nyia chaan aphaan nawa.

For our boasting is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and purity of God, not in carnal wisdom, but in the grace of God, we have sojourned in the world, and especially towards you.

For we do not write other things to you, but those things which you read and know, and I hope that you will know them perfectly:

as you have also known us in part, because we are your glorying, as you ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.

15 Erah loong asuh ngah rapne ih tuumaang angno sen reeni jaakhoh dongkhoom suh taatchung tang, sen loong ah ih romseetam ah dopnyi toomchoh an suh ah.

And in this confidence I wished to come unto you sooner, that you may have a second grace;

16 Ngah Mesidonia nah kah angdoh sen reenah dongkhoom chungtang, eno Mesidonia nawa we ngaak wang hang adoh Judia nah toom diisiit kaat he suh ah.

and through you to go unto Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and by you to be sent forward into Judea.

17 Erah chungtang ah doondaak chung tam etang? Adoleh erah hansi tenthun nawa ih tamchung tang, pootsiit doh “thangroh, thangroh” nyia “daanroh, daanroh” esuh ah.

Then wishing this, whether did I use lightness of purpose? or the things which I counsel, do I counsel according to the flesh, in order that it may be with me yes yes and no no?

18 Rangte ami tiit jeng jengla likhiik, “thangroh thangroh” ih angno “daanroh daanroh” esuh ngah ih kah takham tang.

But God is faithful, that our word which is to you is not yes and no.

19 Rangte Sah, Jisu Kristo, marah Silas nyia Timothi sengjom ih baatti abah, “danroh” esuh nyia “thangroh” esuh tah angka. Erah tokkhodi Rangte raangtaan ih heh ih thangroh ete;

For Christ Jesus, the Son of God, the one being preached by us, through me and Silvanus and Timothy, was not yes and no, but it was yes in him.

20 tiimnge liidi Rangte kakhamte asuh heh ih “Em” liite. Erah raangtaan ih Jisu Kristo jun ih “Amen” ah Rangte men raksiit suh liihi.

For so many promises of God, in Him are yes; therefore indeed through him they are Amen unto the glory to God through us.

But the one confirming us along with you unto Christ, and having anointed us, is God.

22 Rangte heh teeteewah ih seng changte ngeh ih hemen jatthuk suh sin hoon hali, eno seng ten ni Esa Chiiala ah koheeno seng raangtaan ih ban thiinha asuh kamkam ih tuumaang thuk hali.

Who also having sealed us, and given us the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

23 Rangte suh nga ih nga haaki ngeh ih poonhang —heh ih nga tenthun ah ejat ih halang! Ngah Korin ni lakaat aju sen loong phocham an ngeh ih tara tahang.

But I call God to witness to my soul, that sparing you I did not yet come into Corinth:

24 Sen suh hanpi jaatjaat etheng ngeh ih talaat baatke; seng ih jat ehi sen loong hanpi ah rongtangtang ngeh ah, seng damdi roong mokah hali abah sen tenroon raangtaan ih boh mokah hali.

not that we domineer over your faith, but we are fellow-workers of your joy: for by faith you stand.
