< 1 Timothi 5 >

1 Mihak teekaang ah lakanja theng, erah nang ih bah an wah likhiik ih thiik uno ese lam ih waantiit uh. Jaaro loong ah, anphoh anno et thiik uh,
Rebuke not an elder, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers:
2 wikuh loong ah an nuh et thiik uh, eno jaala loong ah anno annah et thiik rum uh, jaatrep esa tenthun lam ih ah.
the elderly women as mothers; the younger women as sisters, in all purity.
3 Thaknuh neng luulu ih tongla loong echoomjoot etheng.
Honor widows who are truly widows.
4 Enoothong thaknuh asuh hesuh hesah je abah, neng neng ih neng jaatang ah toom soksam rum ah eno nengnuh nengwah ih neng soksam rumta thaang ah toom ngaakthem rum ah. Neng rangsoom thooroom lam nah emamah jaatjaat ih reeraang rumjih, eno ba Rangte ah tenroon ang ah.
But if any widow has children, or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety to their own house, and to give benefactions to their ancestors: for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
5 Thaknuh heh luulu, heh soksamte o uh lajeette ih bah, Rangte suh hanpi ano, rangwuung rangphe heh chosok raangtaan ih rangsoom ah ban soom ruh et ah.
She who is truly a widow, and left alone, hopes in God, and abides in prayers and supplication night and day;
6 Enoothong thaknuh ih heh hansi tenroon ni tongla abah amadi ething taat ang abah uh, etek cho ang ah.
but she who is wanton is dead though living.
7 Neng loong ah emoong lam nah latong raangtaan ih arah renbaat hala baat rum uh.
Indeed command these things, in order that they may be blameless.
8 Enoothong o ih heh sano joonte, hedakdak ih heh jaatang loong ah lasoksamka bah heh tuungmaang ah edaan eha, eno erah mina ah lahanpiite loong nang ih ethithoon.
But if any one provides not for his own, and especially those of his own house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
9 Marah thaknuh paang rook arok nang ih ehan lah angka bah thaknuh men nak wak raang an. Erah dam ih heh ah miwah suh jaasiit nook arah angtheng,
Let a widow not be taken into account under three score years, the wife of one husband,
10 nyia heh reeraang pakna ah ese ang arah toom ang ah: hesuh hesah naririh ih soksamte minuh, wen anok heh nok ni noppoonte minuh, Kristo mina damdoh roong mootkaatte, chamchoh tokdoh mih chosokte, nyia ese mootkaat ni mote minuh toom ang ah.
being witness in beautiful works; if she has brought up children, if she has entertained strangers, if she has washed the feet of saints, if she has succored those in tribulation, if she has followed in every good work.
11 Enoothong jaalah thaknuh men ah thaknuh le nah laraang theng; tumeah neng mihoh suh nook mok we chung abah, Kristo jiin nawa edok soon eah,
But reject the younger widows: for when they may wax wanton against Christ, they wish to marry;
12 eno jaakhoni heh jeng kakhamta ah thetsiit ha, eno erah thetsiit ha ah moongla.
having condemnation, because they have rejected their first faith:
13 Erah dam ih noknok doh tumkhoom rum ano neng saapak ah liinsoon thuk rum ah; erah khodoh uh ethithoon reeraang ah, mih joobaat tiitwaan nyia noongrepwih ni neng sak ah lanaangthiin thang ih tum nyoot et rumha, neng lajengjih angta jeng ah nyoot et rumha.
and at the same time they learn to be idle, going about houses; and not only idle, but also loquacious even busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
14 Erah thoih jaalah thaknuh loong abah miwah suh ewe nook eah doh se ih liihang, neng sah ah dong pusom rum ano neng nok nengtap ah soksam lam ih toom tong rum ah, eno ba sengpi sengra ih seng ethih lam nah tajap thet baatri.
Therefore I wish the younger women to marry, to raise up children, to rule the house, to give no occasion to the adversary for the sake of reproach;
15 Tumeah mararah thaknuh loong ah Soitaan lalih ni ejen kaat ih rumta.
for already certain ones have turned away after Satan.
16 Enoothong, Kristo hanpiite minuh pan changka nah thaknuh mok je abah, erah thaknuh ah neng ih jaatjaat chosok theng, chaaste suh lathaam sootroot baattaan theng, chaaste ih bah neng luulu chamnaangte thaknuh loong ah toom chosok rum ah.
If any faithful woman has widows, let her support them, and let not the church be burdened; in order that she may give her attention to those who are truly widows.
17 Chaas mihak phokhoh mootse mote loong ah ih neng toloop chola erah thanthan ejen boot choh eah, hedakdak ah Rangte tiit tumbaat suh nyia nyootsoot suh chekbekte loong raang ih ah.
Let the elders who stand before the people beautifully, be considered worthy of double remuneration, especially those laboring in the word and teaching.
18 Tumeah Rangteele ni raangha, “Maanpong ah chamnak tokdoh heh tui ah latangkhak theng” nyia “Mootkaatte suh neng toloop ah ekot ettheng.”
For the scripture says, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn: and, The laborer is worthy of his hire.
19 Chaas mihak tiit thetbaat arah wanyi tokhodoh ehan ih labaatka bah lachaat theng.
Bring not an accusation against an elder, except before two or three witnesses.
20 O rangdah mola erah nokwah dung nah kanja theng, wahoh loong nep toom cho asuh ah.
Convict those who sin before all, in order that the rest may also have fear.
21 Rangte nyia Kristo Jisu erah dam ih esa rangsah loong ngathong ni Ngah ih arah jengkhaap loong ah kap an ih baat suh poon rumhala, tumjaat reeraang anbah uh o uh ladande theng nyia lachiik haatmui theng eah.
I testify before God, and Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that you must guard these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.
22 Teesu mootkaat nah mothuk suh mih khoh nah lak ih taajoh ano rangsoom kot suh lathuuhu theng. Rangdah mote damdoh laroong rooptheng; anteewah ah esa et thiintheng.
Lay hands quickly on no one, and be not partaker of other men's sins.
23 An khoisat nyia woksat dongsat lu adoh juung lalak nak jok uh, potiik kham amasah ah jok uno an khoisat ah deethuk uh.
Keep yourself pure. No longer drink water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and on account of your frequent sickness.
24 Mararah mina rangdah ah rangkhoh ni kaptup ha; eno erah rangdah rah ih neng ah dande rum ah; enoothong rukhookho rangdah abah lini chotup ha.
The sins of some men are manifest beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they also follow after:
25 Emamah ese mootkaat ah uh laantup ruh eha, eno mik ih latupka loong ah uh tajen huthiinka.
likewise truly are good works manifested beforehand; and those which are otherwise are not able to be hidden.
