< 1 Timothi 2 >
1 Erah thoih, phangkhothoon et baat rumhala ah langla: mirep raangtaan sen ih lasijoot, rangsoom, esuk nyia lakookmi jengkhaap ah Rangte suh kottheng;
I exhort therefore first of all to be made entreaties, prayers intercessions, [and] thanksgivings on behalf of all men,
2 Rangte rangphoong rangsoom nah semroongroong ih tongsong nyia naririh angsuh luungwang nyia ngoong awang loong asuh rangsoom koh an.
for kings and all those in authority being, so that a tranquil and quiet life we may lead in all godliness and in [all] dignity.
3 Emah ih re ah ese ang ah nyia seng Pangte Rangte uh eroon eah.
This (for *k*) [is] good and acceptable before the Savior of us God,
4 Rangte ih warep suh epui toom erum ah nyia amiisak ah toom dongjat rum ah ih jam hali.
who all men desires to be saved and to [the] knowledge of [the] truth to come.
5 Tumeah Rangte ah esiit, eno Rangte nyia mina chamchiini chosiitte mih ah Jisu Kristo,
One for God [there is], one then mediator between God and men, [the] man Christ Jesus
6 mina rangdah nawa doksiit raangtaan ih heteewah roidong kotte warah ah. Rangte ih mirep ah epiipang et ang ih chung arah tokdi erah choh noisok jataha,
the [One] having given Himself [as] a ransom for all, the testimony proper times in [their] own,
7 erah thoih Ranglajatte loong raang ih ngah ah heh kaamwah nyia nyootte raang ih daapkaat halang, ehanpiijih nyia amiisak tiit ah tumbaat raangtaan ih ah. Nga ih tiit huung tabaat kang; amiimi tiit baat hang!
in regard to which was appointed I myself a herald and an apostle — [the] truth I am speaking (in Christ *K*) not I do lie — a teacher of [the] Gentiles in faith and truth.
8 Chaas nah miwah loong warep ih rangsoom tokdoh neng lak ah toon rum ano nengthung nengtak korum, eno ten lakhah thang ih nyia changrook ah larook thang ih rangsoom arah jam rumhang.
I desire therefore to pray the men in every place lifting up holy hands apart from anger and (dissension; *NK(O)*)
9 Minuh loong eh uh nyuh akhat ah phanjangjang nyia naririh toom et kap rum ah ih thunhang, neng khoh ah khoja khangja adoleh hun akom adoleh thaangchaan jong nyia thaangchaanjih nyuh akhat doh naktoom choom rum ah,
likewise also (*k*) women in apparel respectable with modesty and self-control adorning themselves, not with braided hair (or with gold *N(k)O*) or with pearls or with clothing costly,
10 erah nang ih bah thooroom et chaangte minuh likhiik ese ah phanjangjang toom ih reeraang rum ah.
but with what is becoming to women professing [the] fear of God, through works good.
11 Minuh loong ah suusu ih tong rum ano toongtang lam ih toom nyoot rum ah.
A woman in quietness should learn in all submissiveness;
12 Ngah ih minuh loong suh tanyootsoot thukkang adoleh miwah tokkhodoh reejih neng suh chaan takokang, neng ah suusu ih tongjih.
To teach however a woman not I do permit nor to use authority over a man but to be in quietness.
13 Tumeah Adam ah jaakhoh dongsiita, erah lilih Ip ah dongsiitta.
Adam for first was formed, then Eve.
14 Eno emokwaan eta ah Adam tah angta; emokwaan eta nyia Rangte hootthe thet haatte ah minuh rah angta.
And Adam not was deceived, but the woman (having been deceived *N(k)O*) into transgression has come;
15 Enoothong minuh ah neng sah pusom thungthoih ba puirum ah, nyia neng hanpi, minchan nyia esa reeraang ah lato thang ih tong rum ano ah.
She will be saved however through childbearing if they shall abide in faith and in love and in holiness with self-restraint.
