1 Ngo ih Jisu ah Mesia ngeh hanpiiha erah mina ah Rangte sah; marah mina ih hewah rah minchan ha erah ih heh sah rah uh minchan eha.
Every one believing that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God: and every one loving with divine love him who begat, also loves him who has been begotten of him, with divine love.
2 Rangte suh asah ah minchan ehi ngeh amah re eno jat ih: erah langla Rangte jengdang ah kap ino nyia Rangte ah minchan ino ah.
In this we know that we love the children of God with divine love, when we love God with divine love and keep his commandments.
3 Seng ih Rangte suh minchan liihi rah heh jengdang kap hi asuh liiha. Eno heh jengdang ah seng suh tah chaanka,
For this is the divine love of God, that we may keep his commandments: and his commandments are not heavy:
4 mamah liidih timthan Rangte sah angla erah loong ih mongrep ah ejen eh ah. Eno seng tuungmaang je thaang ih mongrep ah jen ih.
because everything which has been born of God conquers the world: and this is the victory which has conquered the world, our faith.
5 Mongrep ah ngo ih jen jen ah? Ngo ih Jisu ah Rangte Sah ngeh hanpiiha erah mina iba jen ah.
Who is the one conquering the world, except the one believing that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 Jisu Kristo ah langla heh juungtem joong nyia etek eta sih damdi raaha rah. Heh ah joong damdi luulu tah ra taha enoothong joong nyia sih damdi ra taha. Arah amiisak jo ngeh Chiiala heheh ih baat ha.
He is the one having come through water and blood, Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood; the Spirit is the one who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
7 Haaki ejom je ah:
Because there are three who are bearing witness,
8 Chiiala, joong, nyia sih; eno arah ejom rah ih erarah tiitkhaap ah baat rumha.
the Spirit and the water, and blood: and these three are one.
9 Mina tiitkhaap asuh seng ih hanpi ehi; enoothong Rangte tiitkhaap ah erah khotok di uh elongthoon, eno Heh ih heh sah tiitkhaap tiit ah ba baat ha.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: because this is the witness of God that he has testified concerning his Son.
10 Erah raangtaan ih marah mina ih Rangte Sah asuh hanpiiha erah mina ten ni arah tiitkhaap ah tong ah; enoothong marah mina ih Rangte suh lah hanpiika, erah mina ih Rangte ah eleek ngeh hoonha, mamah liidih marah Rangte ih Heh sah roidong tiit baatta rah neng ih tah hanpi rumka.
The one believing on the Son of God has the witness in himself: the one not believing God has made him a liar; because he has not believed in the testimony which God has testified concerning his Son.
11 Roidong tiitkhaap ah arah: Rangte ih seng suh lathoon roidong koh tahe, lathoon roidong hiingroop ah heh Sah. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the testimony, that God has given unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
12 Ngo jinni arah Sah ah jeela erah mina asuh arah roidong je ah; marah mina jinni arah Rangte Sah ah lah jeeka roidong ah tah jeeka.
The one having the Son has the life; the one not having the Son of God has not the life.
13 Sen jinni lathoon roidong ah eje ngeh toom jat an suh arah le ah raanghang—sen ih Rangte Sah hanpiihan tiit rah ah. (aiōnios g166)
I have written these things unto you, in order that you may know that you have eternal life; to those who believe on the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
14 Seng loong suh Rangte ngathong ni tenchaan eje, mamah liidih seng ih heh thungpun jun ih tiimjih suhi erah ekot ehe ngeh kamkam ih thun hi.
And this is the assurance which we have toward him, that, if we may ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
15 Seng ih maatok suh ih eradi echaat ehali; seng ih ejat ehi arah tiit ah amiisak, erah uh ejat ehi maatok heh jinnah wa suh ih ekot ehe.
And if we know that he hears us as to whatsoever we may ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked from him.
16 Jengthaak asuh anphoh anno etek etheng sengseng rangdah lah daka rah mok tup ubah, sen ih rangsoom kottheng, Rangte ih roidong koh ah. Arah jengkhaap ah marah phoh ano etek etheng sengseng rangdah lah daka loong suh luulu. Enoothong etek lam nah siitte rangdah ah eje, erah likhiik loong asuh Rangte rangsoom koh an ngeh tabaat rumra.
If any one may see his brother sinning a sin not unto death, he shall ask, and he will give him life to those sinning not unto death. There is a sin unto death; concerning this I do not say that you may ask.
17 Timthan lalangka reeraang loong ah rangdah, Etek theng nah lathok siitka rangdah uh eje.
All unrighteousness is sin: and there is sin not unto death.
18 Seng ih ejat ehi Rangte suh asah ih hedop hedop takah daka, mamah liidih Rangte Sah ih puipang ruh erumha, eno Ethih Warah ih neng tajen thet haat rumka.
We know that every one who has been born of God, sins not; but the one having been born of God keeps himself, and the evil one does not touch him.
19 Seng ih ejat ehi arah mongrep ah Ethih Wah lakmong nah ang abah uh, seng loong ah Rangte suh asah.
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the evil one.
20 Ejat ehi Rangte Sah eraak ih taha, eno seng suh samjat etheng tenthun koh tahe, erah dowa ih Rangte ah amiisak ngeh jat hi. Seng loong ah amiisak Rangte damdi roong thingtongli—heh Sah Jisu Kristo damdi roong thingtongli. Eno arah ba amiisak Rangte nyia lathoon roidong. (aiōnios g166)
But we know that the Son of God has come and has given unto us intelligence, that we know the truth. And we are in the true one, in his Son Jesus Christ; he is the true God, and eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
21 Ngaasuh ngaasah loong, sen teeteewah mih mokwaante rangte loong dowa haloh ih tong an!
Little children, keep yourselves from the idols.
