< 1 Korinte 14 >
1 Erah raangtaan ih sen loong ah ih minchan lam ah jam an. Senten senmong ah chiiala nawa thaangmuh ranglakkot ah samthun an, ehan ah Rangte tiitwaan miibaat theng lakkot ah jam an.
Follow after love, and earnestly desire spiritual things, and especially that you may prophesy.
2 O mina lajatjih jeng dongjengla erah mihoh damdi tawaanka Rangte damdi waanla, tiimnge liidi erah jeng ah o ih uh tajatka. Erah jeng rumla abah Chiiala chaanphaan nawa ih husah tiit ah waanla.
For the one who speaks in another language speaks not to people, but to God; for no one understands; but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries.
3 Enoothong o ih Rangte tiitwaan baat ha erah miloong ah damdi roongwaan ano chosok jengkhaap, chaankot jengkhaap, nyi huudiip jengkhaap ah jengla.
But he who prophesies speaks to people for their encouragement, strengthening, and comfort.
4 O lajatjih jengkhaap ah dongjengla erabah neng raang raangtaan ih jengla, enoothong o ih Rangte tiitkhaap baat ha erabah chaaste loongtang raangtaan.
He who speaks in another language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
5 Ngah ih sen loong ah lajatjih jeng ah ba lasah jeng rumta ngeh ih li rumhala; enoothong Rangte tiitwaan miibaat ranglakkot ah ehan ba lasah chorumta ngeh ih li rumhala. Tiimnge liidi o ih Rangte tiitwaan baat ha rah lajatjih jeng dongjeng la nang ih elong—lajatjih jeng ah tiimjih suh liiha ngeh ih mi toombaatte lajeeka bah, erah chaas raangtaan ih tiimju tah angka.
Now I would like you all to speak in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy, and he is greater who prophesies than he who speaks with other languages, unless he interprets, that the church may be built up.
6 Erah raangtaan ih joon awaan loong, mabah sen taangnah wanghang adoh, lajatjih jeng taat dongjeng ang bah uh sen ih tiimjih choh an? Erah tiimjih suh liiha ngeh ih Rangte taangnawa sen suh lami wuubaat rumra bah sen raang ih tiimju tah angka.
But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with other languages, what would I profit you, unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching?
7 Thom asaam loong ah jengthaak suh taat samthun thaak ih, phuuliilaang angkoja adoleh changding angkoja—herengtom ah ladan tomka bah mamah ih danjat an?
Even things without life, giving a voice, whether pipe or harp, if they did not give a distinction in the sounds, how would it be known what is piped or harped?
8 Adoleh raamui luirongmot ah ladanchaatka bah raamui kaat suh o ih ma khookham ah?
For if the trumpet gave an uncertain sound, who would prepare himself for war?
9 Erah likhiik, an tiitkhaap ena ena ih jenglu ah phanjangjang lajengko bah o ih ma jat ah? An jeng ah pongwut nah ba mah ah!
So also you, unless you uttered by the tongue words easy to understand, how would it be known what is spoken? For you would be speaking into the air.
10 Mongrep ni jeng ah ehoh ehoh, erabah uh jengkhaap ah hesot hemat pan jengla.
There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none is without meaning.
11 Enoothong erah jengla ah ngah ih lajat kangbah, erah jengkhaap jengte loong raangtaan eh dookdate ang ah eno neng loong ah nga raang ih dookdate ang ah.
If then I do not know the meaning of the sound, I would be to him who speaks a foreigner, and he who speaks would be a foreigner to me.
12 An Chiiala lakkot asuh ramlu bah, thoontang nang ih ehanthoon ah chaas hakthuk theng mootkaat ah jaatjaat moh suh thuntheng.
So also you, since you are zealous for spiritual things, seek that you may abound to the building up of the church.
13 Erah raangtaan ih o mina lajatjih jeng ah jengla, erah ranglakkot jengkhaap ah mi phanbaat suh rangsoom theng.
Therefore let him who speaks in another language pray that he may interpret.
14 Emah rang mok soom ang bah, chiiala ni ngah ih rangsoom hang, enoothong nga thung ah erah di tajeeka.
For if I pray in another language, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.
15 Emah ang abah, Ngah ih tiim etheng ah? Ngah ih chiiala nawa ih rangsoom theng, enoothong nga thung nawa ih nep rangsoom theng, erah damdoh ngah chiiala nawa ih nep boong theng nyia nga thung atak nawa ih nep boong ang.
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
16 Rangte suh chiiala nawa ih luulu ih lakookmi li ubah, an rangsoom doh nokbaang loong ah ih “Amen” ngeh ih mamah mi li ah?
Otherwise if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the "Amen" at your giving of thanks, seeing he does not know what you say?
17 Rangte suh lakookmi rangsoom hu ah ese taat ang abah uh, mina wahoh raang ih ese tamok angka.
For you truly give thanks well, but the other person is not built up.
18 Ngah sen loong nang ih lajatjih jeng ehan jeng thoidi Rangte suh lakookmi liihang.
I thank God I speak in tongues more than you all.
19 Enoothong haajaat haajaat lajatjih jeng ah jeng nang ih chaas nah khorongngot ih doh, mih suh nyootsoot doh khaap bangnga taan mih ih samjat theng jeng ah jeng ang.
However in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in another language.
20 Nga joonte loong, sen tenthun nah noodek likhiik lah ang theng; ethih nah ba noodek ang theng, enoothong sen tenthun nabah mihak ang theng.
Brothers, do not be children in thoughts, yet in malice be babies, but in thoughts be mature.
21 Rangteele ni amah raangha, “Mina loong lajatjih jeng jengla jun ih nga mina loong damdoh roongwaan ang, Teesu ih liiha. Mideek mikaan tuikhoi lam ih ngah roongwaan ang, erabah uh nga mina loong ih nga jeng ah laboichaatte ang rumla.”
In the law it is written, "By people of strange tongues and by the lips of strangers I will speak to this people; but even then they will not listen to me," says the Lord.
22 Erah raangtaan ih, lajatjih jeng miijeng suh thaangmuh lakkot ah lahanpiite suh noisok ha, hanpiite loong raang ih tah angka, enoothong Rangte tiitkhaap miibaat suh ranglakkot ah langla hanpiite loong raang ih, lahanpiite loong raang ih tah angka.
Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe, but to the unbelieving; but prophesying is for a sign, not to the unbelieving, but to those who believe.
23 Jengthaak asuh, chaas mina thoontang lomtong ano, lajatjih jeng dongjeng rum abah—adoleh lahanpiite mina loong ih japtup abah emok angla ngeh ih tatam thunka?
If therefore the whole church is assembled together and all speak in tongues, and unlearned or unbelieving people come in, won't they say that you are crazy?
24 Enoothong lahanpiite loong dongkhoom ha adoh Rangte tiitkhaap baat abah, erah chaat ano neng rangdah tiit ah samthun ih ah. Erah japchaat rumha rah ih neng neng dande ah,
But if all prophesy, and someone unbelieving or unlearned comes in, he is reproved by all, and he is judged by all.
25 husah ni thun rumha rah wuusa nah dongjeng ah, eno Rangte ah soomtu rum ano neng rangdah ah ethang et rum ah, “Rangte ah amiisak amadi sen damdi!”
And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed. So he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.
26 Nga joonte loong, arah loong asuh liihang. Maatokdoh sen rangsoom khoontong andoh, mararah doh rangsoom seehoonte eje ang theng, mararah ih Rangte tiit dongbaat theng, mararah ih nyootsoot etheng, rukho ah ih lajatjih jengkhaap nawa ih jengte ang theng, rukho ah ih lajatjih jeng adi tiimjih liiha erah huk jangbaat kotte ang theng. Jirep ah chaas raangtaan ih ese angtheng toom ang ah.
What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up.
27 O bah uh lajatjih jengjeng adoh, eradoh wanyi wajom jeng theng, wasiit lidoh wasiit jeng theng, eno wasiit ah ih erah tiimjih suh liiha ah toombaat theng.
If anyone speaks in another language, let it be two, or at the most three, and in turn; and let one interpret.
28 Enoothong erah doh tiimsuh liiha rah toombaatte lajeeka bah, lajatjih jeng jengte ah lakah hoopti theng eno heh teeteewah nyi Rangte luulu damdoh roongwaan theng.
But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in the church, and let him speak to himself, and to God.
29 Wanyi wajom ih Rangte tiitkhaap baat adoh, wahoh loong ah ih erah baat ha rah danchaat etheng.
Let the prophets speak, two or three, and let the others discern.
30 Enoothong erah khoontong adoh o suh bah uh Rangte tiitwuukaat hala bah, wasiit jengte warah ih ejeng ah toihaat etheng.
But if a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first keep silent.
31 Warep ih nyootsoot suh nyia chaankot jengkhaap jeng subah, sen loong ah ih wasiit lidoh wasiit ih Rangte tiitkhaap jen baat eh an.
For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.
32 Rangte tiitkhaap baat suh ranglakkot ah langla tiitbaatte lathong nah ang theng,
The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets,
33 tiimnge liidoh Rangte ih kaphak kalak tah angthuk ri erah nang ebah phanjangjang nyi semroongroong angthuk suh liiha. Erah raangtaan ih chaas rep nawa Rangte mina loong,
for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
34 minuh loong ah erah lomtong tokdoh suusu ih tongtheng. Jehudi Hootthe ni liiha, neng loong ah lajeng theng ngeh ah; neng loong ah tiitkhoh paante lah ang theng.
let the women keep silent in the churches, for it has not been permitted for them to speak; but let them be in subjection, as the Law also says.
35 Minuh loong ah ih tiim atiim jat suh li abah neng sawah suh nok nah chengtheng. Chaas nah lomtong adoh minuh jeng ah rakrek ejih.
If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home, for it is shameful for a woman to chatter in the church.
36 Adoleh Rangte jengkhaap ah an taangnawa tam ra taha? Adoleh erah jengkhaap ah kaat suh an luulu tam ah?
What? Was it from you that the word of God went out? Or did it come to you alone?
37 O ih bah uh heh ah Rangte ruurang baatte ih toom taat liithaak ah adoleh chiiala ranglakkot ah heh suh je ah ngeh ih toom thun thaak ah, heh ih arah dokthun jaatjaat etheng, ngah ih sen suh raang koh rumhala ah Teesu jengdang ngeh ah.
If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him recognize the things which I write to you, that they are the commandment of the Lord.
38 Heh ih arah tiit ah laboichaatka bah, sen ih uh heh tiit ah laboichaat theng.
But if someone does not recognize this, he is not recognized.
39 Joonte loong, erah raangtaan ih, senten senmong ah Rangte tiitkhaap baattaan nah koh an, enoothong lajatjih jeng jengte loong ah nak haam an.
Therefore, my brothers, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
40 Enoothong jirep ah phanjangjang nyia seklilih lam ih jaatjaat ih re theng ang ah.
Let all things be done decently and in order.
