< John 11 >
1 Ekjon bemar thaka manu Lazarus koi kene thakise. Tai, aru bhoini Mary aru Martha khan laga bosti naam to Bethany thakise.
Was now a certain [man] ailing, Lazarus of Bethany of the village of Mary and Martha the sister of her;
2 Aru etu Mary he asele jun pora age te itra tel loi kene Probhu ke abhishek kori kene tai laga chuli pora Jisu laga theng mussi dise, aru bemar Lazarus to tai laga bhai asele.
Was now Mary the [one] having anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and having wiped the feet of Him with the hair of her, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
3 Karone tai bhoini khan pora manu pathai kene koise, “Probhu, kunke Apuni morom kore, tai bemar ase.”
Sent therefore the sisters to Him saying; Lord, behold [he] whom You love was being sick.
4 Jitia Jisu etu kotha hunise, Tai koise, “Etu bemar to mori jabole laga bemar nohoi, kintu Isor ke mohima aru Manu laga Putro ke mohima hobo karone ase.”
Having heard then Jesus said; This sickness not is unto death but for the glory of God that may be glorified the Son of God through it.
5 Jisu to Martha aru tai bhoini aru Lazarus ke bhi morom kori thakisele.
was loving now Jesus Martha and the sister of her and Lazarus.
6 Aru jitia Tai hunise Lazarus bemar ase koi kene, Jisu kot te thakise ta te dui din aru rukhi jaise.
When therefore He heard that he is sick, then indeed He remained in which He was [the] place two days.
7 Titia etu pichete, Tai laga chela khan ke koise, “Ahibi, amikhan Judea te aru jabo.”
Then after this He says to the disciples; Let us go into Judea again.
8 Tai chela khan Taike koise, “Rabbi, aji kali Yehudi khan Apuni ke pathor mari bole bisari ase, aru Apuni ta te jabole ase?”
Say to Him the disciples; Rabbi, just now were seeking You to stone the Jews, and again You are going there?
9 Jisu jowab dise, “Kile dinte baroh ghanta nathake naki? Jodi kunba dinte beraile tai thogar nakhai, kelemane tai duniya laga ujala ke pai thaka karone.
Answered (*k*) Jesus; Surely twelve hours are there in the day? If anyone shall walk in the day, not he stumbles, because the light of the world this he sees.
10 Kintu jodi kunba rati te beraile, puhor tai logote nathaka karone thogar khai.”
if however anyone shall walk in the night, he stumbles, because the light not is in him.
11 Tai eitu khan kotha koi diya pichete, eneka koise, “Amikhan laga sathi Lazarus ghumai ase, kintu Moi taike uthai dibole jabo.”
These things He said and after this He says to them; Lazarus the friend of us has fallen asleep; but I go that I may awaken him.
12 Titia Tai chela khan koise, “Probhu, jodi tai ghumi ase koile, tai basi jabo.”
Said therefore the disciples (to Him; *N(K)O*) Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will get well.
13 Jisu tai mori bole laga kotha he koise, kintu taikhan to aram pora ghumai thaka kotha he bhabise.
Had spoken however Jesus of the death of him; they however thought that of the rest of sleep He speaks.
14 Titia Jisu taikhan ke sidha koi dise, “Lazarus mori jaise.
Then therefore said to them Jesus plainly; Lazarus has died.
15 Moi khushi ase, tumikhan karone, Moi ta te thaka nai, etu karone tumikhan biswas kori lobo. Kintu amikhan tai logote jabo.”
And I rejoice for sake of you, in order that you may believe, that not I was there; But let us go to him.
16 Titia Thomas, junke Didymus bhi koi, tai sathi chela khan ke koise, “Ahibi amikhan bhi jabo Jisu logote moribo karone.”
Said therefore Thomas who is being named Didymus to the fellow disciples; Let us go also us that we may die with Him.
17 Karone jitia Jisu ahise, Tai janise Lazarus ke kobor te rakhi diya char din hoise.
Having come therefore Jesus found him four already days having been in the tomb.
18 Aru Bethany to Jerusalem usor ase, dui kos he dur nisena te ase.
Was now Bethany near Jerusalem about away stadia fifteen.
19 Aru Yehudi khan bisi Martha aru Mary logote ahise, tai bhai karone mon aram kori dibole.
(and *k*) Many (now *no*) of the Jews had come unto (*N(k)O*) (concerning *k*) Martha and Mary that they may console them concerning the brother (of them. *k*)
20 Jitia Martha hunise Jisu ahi ase, tai lok pabole jaise, kintu Mary to ghor te bohi thakise.
Therefore Martha, when she heard that (*k*) Jesus is coming, met with Him; Mary however in the house was sitting.
21 Martha pora Jisu ke koise, “Probhu, jodi Apuni yate thakile, moi laga bhai namoribole asele.
Said then Martha to Jesus; Lord, if You had been here, not then would (be dead *N(k)O*) the brother of mine.
22 Kintu etiya bhi, moi jane Apuni Isor ke ki mangile Isor pora etu Apuni ke dibo.”
Nevertheless even now I know that as much as maybe You may ask God will give You God.
23 Jisu taike koise, “Tumi laga bhai aru jinda hoi jabo.”
Says to her Jesus; Will rise again the brother of you.
24 Martha Taike koise, “Moi jane tai aru jee uthibo hekh dinte.”
Says to him (*no*) Martha; I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day.
25 Jisu taike koise, “Moi, he punoruthan aru jibon ase; jun Moike biswas koribo, jodi tai morile bhi, jinda hobo;
Said to her Jesus; I myself am the resurrection and the life; the [one] believing in Me myself even if even if he shall die he will live,
26 Aru jun bhi jinda thake aru Moike biswas kore tai kitia bhi namoribo. Tumi etu kotha biswas kore?” (aiōn )
and everyone who is living and believing in Me myself certainly not he shall die to the age. Believe you this? (aiōn )
27 Tai Jisu ke koise, “Hoi, Probhu, Moi biswas ase Apuni Khrista ase, Isor laga Putro, jun duniya te ahibole thaka jon ase.”
She says to Him; Yes Lord; I myself have believed that You yourself are the Christ the Son of God the [One] into the world coming.
28 Aru tai etu koi diya pichete, tai jai jaise aru lukai kene tai bhoini ke koise, “Shika manu yate ahi ase, aru apuni ke mati ase.”
And (these things *N(k)O*) having said she went away and she called Mary the sister of her secretly having said; The Teacher is come and He calls you.
29 Tai etu huna logote uthi kene Tai logote jaise.
She (then *no*) when she heard ([she] rose up *N(k)O*) quickly and (was coming *N(k)O*) to Him.
30 Titia tak Jisu to bosti te puncha nai, kintu kot te Martha Taike lok korise ta te he thakise.
Not yet now had come Jesus into the village, but was (still *no*) in the place where met with Him Martha.
31 Titia jun Yehudi khan tai laga ghor te thakise aru tai laga mon aram koridi thakisele, taikhan Mary to joldi uthi kene juwa dikhise, aru tai kobor te jai kene kandibole jai ase bhabise aru tai laga piche korise.
The then Jews who are being with her in the house and consoling her, having seen Mary that soon she rose up and went out, followed after her, (having supposed *N(K)O*) that she is going to the tomb that she may weep there.
32 Jitia Mary to Jisu thaka jagate ponchise, tai Jisu ke dikhi kene Tai theng te giri kene koise, “Probhu, jodi Apuni yate thakile, ami laga bhai namoribole asele.”
Therefore Mary when she came to where was (*k*) Jesus, having seen Him she fell of Him (at *N(k)O*) the feet saying to Him; Lord, if You had been here, not then would my have died brother.
33 Kitia Jisu tai kanda dikhise, aru Yehudi khan tai logote aha khan kanda dikhise, Tai Atma te bisi bhabise aru mon chinta hoise;
Jesus therefore when He saw her weeping and the having come with her Jews weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled Himself
34 aru Tai koise, “Tumikhan taike kot te rakhise?” Taikhan Taike koise, “Probhu, ahi kene sabi.”
And He said; Where have you laid him? They say to Him; Lord, do come and do see.
36 Titia Yehudi khan koise, “Sabi kiman morom kore ase Lazarus ke!”
Were saying therefore the Jews; Behold how He was loving him!
37 Kintu taikhan kunba koise, “Tai age te andha manu laga suku bhal kori diya Tai etu manu na hoi, etu manu ke namoribo dibo para nai?”
Some however of them said; Surely was able this [man] who having opened the eyes of the blind to have caused that also this one not may have died?
38 Aru Jisu bisi mon dukh hoi kobor te ahise, etu ekta gufa asele, aru ekta pathor pora dhaki rakhi thakise.
Jesus therefore again being deeply moved in Himself He comes to the tomb; It was now a cave, and a stone was lying against it.
39 Jisu koise, “Pathor ke hatai dibi. Martha, mori juwa laga bhoini, Jisu ke koise, “Probhu, etiya to pucha gundai thakibo, char din hoise.”
Says Jesus; do take away the stone. Says to Him the sister of the [one] (having deceased *N(k)O*) Martha; Lord, already he stinks; four days for it is.
40 Jisu taike koise, “Kile, Moi tumike kowa nohoi, jodi tumi biswas korile, tumi Isor laga mohima dikhibo?”
Says to her Jesus; Surely I said to you that if you shall believe you will see the glory of God?
41 Titia taikhan pathor ke hatai dise, Jisu Tai suku upor uthai koise, “Baba, Moi Apuni ke dhanyavad di ase, Apuni Ami laga prathana huni luwa karone.
They took away therefore the stone (where was who having died laid. *K*) Now Jesus lifted [His] eyes upwards and said; Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
42 Moi jane, Apuni Moike hodai hune kintu Ami usorte thaka khan karone Apuni he Moike pathaise, etu jani kene biswas koribo karone Moi etu koi dise.”
I myself and knew that always Me You hear; but on account of the crowd which already standing around I said [it], that they may believe that You yourself Me sent.
43 Titia Tai etu koi diya pichete, Tai jor pora hala kori koise, “Lazarus, ulai ahibi!”
And these things having said in a voice loud He cried out; Lazarus, come forth.
44 Titia mora manu ulai ahise; aru bhori aru hath kapra pora bandi kene aru Tai mukh ekta gamcha pora dhaki asele, Jisu taikhan ke koise, “Khuli dibi aru taike jabo dibi.”
(and *k*) Came forth the [one] having died bound the feet and the hands with linen strips, and the face of him in a headcloth had bound about. Says to them Jesus: do unbind him and do allow him to go.
45 Titia bisi Yehudi khan jun Mary logote ahise aru Jisu kaam kori diya dikhi kene biswas kori loise.
Many therefore of the Jews having come to Mary and having seen (what things *NK(o)*) He did (Jesus *k*) believed in Him.
46 Kintu taikhan kunba Pharisee khan logote jai kene Jisu kaam kori diya sob koi dise.
some however of them went to the Pharisees and told to them what did (*ko*) Jesus.
47 Karone mukhyo purohit khan aru Pharisee khan sabha te joma hoi kotha korise, “Amikhan ki korile bhal hobo? Etu manu bisi asurit kori ase.
Gathered therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees a council and they were saying; What are we to do? For this man many does signs!
48 Jodi amikhan Taike eneka kori thakibo dile, sob manu Taike biswas kori jabo, aru Rome laga cholawta khan ahikena amikhan laga jagah aru jati duita ke bhi amikhan laga hath pora loi lobo.”
If we shall let him alone Him like this, all will believe in Him, and will come the Romans and will take away of us both the place and the nation.
49 Aru taikhan majote sabha laga ekjon manu Caiaphas asele, jun etu saal pora moha purohit laga kaam shuru korisele, tai pora taikhan ke koise, “Tumikhan eku najane.
One however certain of them Caiaphas, high priest being on the year same, said to them; You yourselves not know no [thing],
50 Sob desh nost huwa pora to ekjon mori juwa he bhal hobo, etu bhi tumikhan na bhabe.”
nor (consider you *N(k)O*) that it is profitable (for you *N(K)O*) that one man may die for the people, and not all the nation may perish.
51 Etu tai nijor pora kowa nohoi. Kintu etu saal pora tai moha purohit kaam korise, etu karone tai bhabobani korise Jisu he etu jati manu karone moribo;
This now from himself not he said, but high priest being on the year that he prophesied that was about (*k*) Jesus to die for the nation,
52 Aru khali etu jati karone he nohoi, kintu Isor laga khandan khan, ephale-uphale hoi thaka khan sobke bisari ekta kori bole ase.
and not for the nation only but that also the children of God those scattered He may gather together into one.
53 Titia taikhan etu din pora Taike morai dibole bisari thakise.
From that [very] therefore day (they plotted *N(k)O*) that they may kill Him.
54 Karone, Jisu to aru Yehudi khan majote khula nabera hoise, kintu ta te pora jongol usorte Ephraim koi kene thaka ekta town te Tai chela ke loi ta te thaki jaise.
(*no*) Therefore Jesus no longer no longer publicly was walking among the Jews, but went away from there into the region near the wilderness to Ephraim being named a city, And there And there (He stayed *N(k)O*) with the disciples (of him. *k*)
55 Aru Yehudi laga Nistar usor asele, titia bosti pora bisi manu nijorke pobitro kori bole Nistar age te Jerusalem jaise.
Was now near the Passover of the Jews, and went up many to Jerusalem out of the region before the Passover so that they may purify themselves.
56 Titia taikhan ta te Jisu ke bisarise, aru mondoli te joma hoi kene koise, “Apnikhan ki bhabi ase? Tai etu purbb te nahibo?”
They were seeking therefore Jesus and were saying among one another in the temple already standing; What does it seem to you, that certainly not He may come to the feast?
57 Aru mukhyo purohit khan aru Pharisee khan pora hukum di rakhise, Tai kot te ase etu janile khobor dibole, Taike dhori bole karone.
Had given now (also *k*) the chief priests and the Pharisees (commands *N(K)O*) that if anyone shall know where He is he shall show [it], so that they may seize Him.
