< Ephesians 4 >

1 Etu nimite ami Isor laga bondhi ghor te thaka manu, apnikhan ke utsah kori ase juntu kaam kori bole apnikhan ke matise utu thik pora kori kene berabi,
I, the prisoner in [the] Lord, exhort you therefore to walk worthy of the calling wherewith ye have been called,
2 nomro aru norom hoi kene, dhorjo kori kene, ekjon-ekjon ke morom te thakibi,
with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love;
3 shanti pora Atma bhitor te ekta hoi kene thaki bole kosis koribi.
using diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace.
4 Ekjon he gaw ase, aru ekjon Pobitro Atma ase, jineka apnikhan ke ekta bhabona kori kene mati sele,
[There is] one body and one Spirit, as ye have been also called in one hope of your calling;
5 ekjon Isor, ekta biswas, ekta baptizma,
one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
6 Ekjon Isor aru sob laga Baba, jun sob laga uporte ase, aru sob pora ase, aru sob bhitor te ase.
one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.
7 Etiya amikhan sobke anugrah dikene ase Khrista laga inam laga ujon hisab te.
But to each one of us has been given grace according to the measure of the gift of the Christ.
8 Etu nimite tai koise: “Jitia tai uporte uthise, Tai dhuri kene thaka khan ke dhuri kene loi jaise, Aru manu khan ke inam khan dise.”
Wherefore he says, Having ascended up on high, he has led captivity captive, and has given gifts to men.
9 To etu laga motlob to ki ase “Khrista uthise,” hoilebi tai prithibi laga sob pora niche bhag te bhi jaise?
But that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth?
10 Tai jun nichete jaise utu tai he ase jun sob sorgo khan pora bisi uporte bhi uthise, titia Tai sob jinis khan ke bhorta kori bole paribo.
He that descended is the same who has also ascended up above all the heavens, that he might fill all things;
11 Aru Khrista pora kunba ke apostle, kunba ke bhabobadi, kunba ke procharok, aru kunba ke palok aru hikhok kori bole dise,
and he has given some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers,
12 pobitro manu khan ke thik kori bole nimite, mantri khan laga kaam khan aru Khrista laga gaw ke hikai dibole nimite,
for the perfecting of the saints; with a view to [the] work of [the] ministry, with a view to the edifying of the body of Christ;
13 Isor laga chokra laga gyaan te ekta biswas te napuncha tak, ekta pura aru thik manu hobo nimite, pura Khrista nisena,
until we all arrive at the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, at [the] full-grown man, at [the] measure of the stature of the fulness of the Christ;
14 titia amikhan aru bacha nisena nahobo, age piche nahilibo, niyom laga sob hawa te loi najabo, manu khan laga thoga baji te, aru chalak kaam khan te nagiribo.
in order that we may be no longer babes, tossed and carried about by every wind of that teaching [which is] in the sleight of men, in unprincipled cunning with a view to systematized error;
15 Kintu morom pora hosa kotha kobo, aru sob jinis te uthibo, Tai logote jun matha ase, Khrista nijor,
but, holding the truth in love, we may grow up to him in all things, who is the head, the Christ:
16 Jun pora pura gaw thik pora mili kene ekta hoijai, aru bhag sob pora nijor kaam kori kene ekta bhag logote ekta bhag mili jai, etu pora gaw ke hikai, nijor pora morom te bonai uthibole.
from whom the whole body, fitted together, and connected by every joint of supply, according to [the] working in [its] measure of each one part, works for itself the increase of the body to its self-building up in love.
17 Etu nimite ami koi ase, aru Probhu naam te utsah di ase, etiya pora apnikhan Porjati khan misa-misi bhabona te thakikena bera nisena na koribi.
This I say therefore, and testify in [the] Lord, that ye should no longer walk as [the rest of] the nations walk in [the] vanity of their mind,
18 Bujhi bole para takot to andhar te rakhi kene ase, aru Isor laga jibon pora alag hoi kene ase, kele koile taikhan monte buddhi nai aru Isor ke taikhan laga mon tan hoi kene thaka nimite.
being darkened in understanding, estranged from the life of God by reason of the ignorance which is in them, by reason of the hardness of their hearts,
19 Jun khan nijor bhabona ke morai dise, aru nijorke bebichari kaam nimite cholai se, aru gaw mangso kaam te berai thakise.
who having cast off all feeling, have given themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greedy unsatisfied lust.
20 Hoile bhi apnikhan eneka pora Khrista laga kotha hika nai,
But ye have not thus learnt the Christ,
21 eneka hoile apnikhan utu hobi juntu apnikhan tai laga hunise, aru Jisu pora jineka hikai se, juntu hosa to Jisu bhitor te ase.
if ye have heard him and been instructed in him according as [the] truth is in Jesus;
22 Titia apnikhan utu purana manu laga poila kotha khan phelai dibi, juntu misa-misi ase thoga baji laga lalchi khan ase,
[namely] your having put off according to the former conversation the old man which corrupts itself according to the deceitful lusts;
23 Aru apnikhan laga bhabona laga atma te notun hobi,
and being renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 Aru ta te apuni khan utu notun manu hobi jun Isor laga protima ase- dharmikta aru pobitrota te.
and [your] having put on the new man, which according to God is created in truthful righteousness and holiness.
25 Etu nimite misa phelai dibi, sob manu dusra manu logote hosa kotha kobi kele koile amikhan ekjon-dusra-jon laga bhag ase.
Wherefore, having put off falsehood, speak truth every one with his neighbour, because we are members one of another.
26 Apnikhan khong hobi, aru paap na koribi: apnikhan laga khong uporte din khotom hobole nadibi.
Be angry, and do not sin; let not the sun set upon your wrath,
27 Bhoot khan ke bhal homoi to nadibi.
neither give room for the devil.
28 Taikhan jun khan chor kore, taikhan chor nakori jabi. Ulta, tai kaam kori bole lage, tai laga hath khan pora utu kaam khan kori bole dibi juntu bhal ase hoile bhi, titia tai dusra ke dibole paribo junke dorkar ase.
Let the stealer steal no more, but rather let him toil, working what is honest with [his] hands, that he may have to distribute to him that has need.
29 Apnikhan laga mukh pora misa-misi kotha khan ulabole nadibi, hoile bhi juntu kotha dusra ke uthai dibole nimite bhal ase, eneka pora huni thaka khan anugrah pabo.
Let no corrupt word go out of your mouth, but if [there be] any good one for needful edification, that it may give grace to those that hear [it].
30 Aru Isor laga Pobitro Atma ke mon dukh kori bole nadibi, juntu pora apuni khan ke paap pora bachai diya laga dinte daag dise.
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which ye have been sealed for [the] day of redemption.
31 Sob tita khan, biya pa-a, khong, hala, aru gali diya khan apnikhan pora hatai dibi, sob biya laga bhabona khan.
Let all bitterness, and heat of passion, and wrath, and clamour, and injurious language, be removed from you, with all malice;
32 Aru ekjon-ekjon ke morom koribi, norom mon rakhibi, maph koribi, jineka Isor pora Khrista dwara apnikhan ke maph korise.
and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.
