< 1 Timothy 2 >

1 Etu nimite, sob pora shuru te, ami tumikhan ke binti kori ase sob manu khan nimite amikhan Isor logote prathana koribi,
I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings, be made for all people:
2 raja khan aru adhikari khan nimite, titia amikhan ekta shanti aru bhal aru pobitro jibon chola bole paribo.
for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.
3 Amikhan laga Tran-Korta nimite prathana kora to bhal aru khushi kotha ase.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
4 Isor he sob manu khan ke bacha bole, aru hosa gyaan dibole itcha kore.
who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
5 Kilekoile ta te ekjon Isor ase, aru Isor aru manu majote kotha milai diya ekjon ase, Jisu Khrista.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and humanity, a human, Christ Jesus,
6 Tai sob udhar koribo nimite thik somoite nijor jibon di dise, ekta sakhi hobo nimite.
who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times;
7 Etu nimite he, moi nijorke Isor aru manu khan majote ekjon hikai diya aru ekjon apostle hobole basi loise. Moi Khrista te hosa koi ase- misa kowa nohoi. Porjati khan nimite biswas aru hosa hikai dibole moi ekjon hikhok ase.
to which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the non-Jews in faith and truth.
8 Etu nimite, moi itcha ase aradhana kora sob jagate, manu khan pobitro hath uthaikene prathana kori bole, ghusa aru jhagara nakorikena.
I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.
9 Thik etu nisena, ami itcha kori ase kineka kapra lagai le sonman pai, eitu khan lagabi aru nijorke rukhai kene bhal pora thakibi. Chuli khan te kiba-kiba nabonabi, nohoile suna, moti, aru daam kapra khan nalagabi,
In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety; not just with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing;
10 kintu Isor jana mahila nimite ki bhal kaam ase eitu khan he kori kene dikhabi.
but (which becomes women professing godliness) with good works.
11 Ekjon mahila to shanti, nomro aru, mon dikene sikhibo lage.
Let a woman learn in quietness with all subjection.
12 Mahila khan pora mota khan uporte Sikhsa dibole aru adhikar cholabole karone ami anumati nadibo, kintu taikhan aradhana to chup-chap koribo lage.
But I do not permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness.
13 Kile mane poila Adam ke bonaise, etu pichete Eve ke bonaise.
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 Aru Adam pora paap kora nai, kintu Eve he Saitan pora poila thogai khaise aru tai he poila paap korise.
Adam was not deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;
15 Kintu, taikhan bacha jonom diya te bachibo, jodi taikhan biswas, morom, aru bhabona to pobitro kori kene sob mani thakile.
but she will be delivered through the childbirth, if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.
