< 1 Peter 3 >
1 Etu nisena, shadi kora maiki khan nijor laga mota logote bhal kori kene thakibi. Eneka korile kunba mota kun Isor laga kotha namani kene ase, taikhan ke eku kotha nokoi kene jiti lobole paribo, taikhan maiki laga adat saikene.
In like manner, the wives, be ye subject to your own husbands, that even if certain are disobedient to the word, through the conversation of the wives, without the word, they may be won,
2 Kelemane taikhan apuni laga bhal kaam aru adat khan dikhi kene thakibo.
having beheld your pure behaviour in fear,
3 Apuni laga sundur to eneka nisena bahar laga saman pora nadikha bhi, jineka chuli bandhe, suna laga mala lagai, aru bhal sundur kapra khan lagai.
whose adorning — let it not be that which is outward, of plaiting of hair, and of putting around of things of gold, or of putting on of garments,
4 Kintu apuni laga bhal aru bhitor mon to he dikhai dibi, aru kitia bhi khotom nakora sundur aru shanti thaka atma to dikhai dibi, etu he Isor usorte bisi daam laga ase.
but — the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible thing of the meek and quiet spirit, which is, before God, of great price,
5 Kelemane poila laga pobitro mahila kunkhan Isor ke mohima kore, taikhan bhi nijor mota ke eneka kori kene manise.
for thus once also the holy women who did hope on God, were adorning themselves, being subject to their own husbands,
6 Etu nisena Sarah pora Abraham laga kotha mani kene taike tai laga probhu matise. Apuni khan bhi tai laga bacha ase jodi apuni khan ki bhal ase etu kore aru jodi apuni khan dukh aha to bhoi nakore.
as Sarah was obedient to Abraham, calling him 'sir,' of whom ye did become daughters, doing good, and not fearing any terror.
7 Etu nisena, shadi kora mota khan nijor maiki logote mon mili kene thaki bhi, aru taikhan komjur ase koi kene bhal pora sabi. Apuni taike sonman dibi aru jibon te asirbad ana ekjon ase koi kene tai logote bhal pora thakibi. Eneka korile apuni laga prathana te kitia bhi digdar nahobo.
The husbands, in like manner, dwelling with [them], according to knowledge, as to a weaker vessel — to the wife — imparting honour, as also being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Aru hekh te, etiya pora, apuni khan sob, ekta bhabona hoi jabi, nomro koribi, kokai bhai ke morom koribi, mon to shanti rakhibi, aru chutu hoi kene thakibi.
And finally, being all of one mind, having fellow-feeling, loving as brethren, compassionate, courteous,
9 Manu pora biya kaam korile wapas aru biya kaam kori kene nadikhabi aru apuni ke sorom khilai diya kotha koile aru wapas taike sorom nakhila bhi. Kintu manu pora ki koile bhi, taike asirbad dibi, kelemane etu nimite apuni ke mati loise, etu pora apuni asirbad pabo.
not giving back evil for evil, or railing for railing, and on the contrary, blessing, having known that to this ye were called, that a blessing ye may inherit;
10 Kelemane, Isor kotha te likha nisina, “Kun manu jibon to morom kore aru bhal din dikhi bole mon ase Tai nijor laga jiba ke biya kotha pora rukhai kene rakhibi aru tai laga mukh pora biya kotha ulabole nadibi.
for 'he who is willing to love life, and to see good days, let him guard his tongue from evil, and his lips — not to speak guile;
11 Kintu tai nijorke biya kaam pora dur hoi kene thaki bole dibi aru ki bhal kaam ase etu koribi. Taike shanti bisari bole dibi aru etu te thaki bole nimite kosis koribi.
let him turn aside from evil, and do good, let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Probhu laga suku dharmik manu ke he sai thake, aru Tai laga kan taikhan pora ki koi etu hune. Kintu kun manu Probhu laga bhirodh te biya kaam kore taikhan usor pora Tai laga chehera hatai diye.”
because the eyes of the Lord [are] upon the righteous, and His ears — to their supplication, and the face of the Lord [is] upon those doing evil;'
13 Jodi apuni bhal kaam kore koile kun manu apuni ke dukh dibo?
and who [is] he who will be doing you evil, if of Him who is good ye may become imitators?
14 Kintu apuni dharmik aru bhal kori kene dukh pai thakile bhi, apuni asishit ase. Etu nimite taikhan apuni ke bhoi khilai le bhi, bhoi nokoribi, aru chinta nokoribi.
but if ye also should suffer because of righteousness, happy [are ye]! and of their fear be not afraid, nor be troubled,
15 Kintu, hodai Probhu Khrista pobitro ase koi kene sonman dibi. Aru jodi manu khan apuni ke Isor apuni nimite ki ase eneka hudile, jowab dibole nimite taiyar thakibi.
and the Lord God sanctify in your hearts. And [be] ready always for defence to every one who is asking of you an account concerning the hope that [is] in you, with meekness and fear;
16 Kintu etu sob to nomro aru manu ke sonman dikene koribi. Jitia taikhan apuni ke kotha hude, etu homoi te apuni laga bhabona sapha rakhibi, titia kun manu apuni Khrista te bhal jibon dikhi kene apuni ke sorom khilai, tai sorom hoi jabo.
having a good conscience, that in that in which they speak against you as evil-doers, they may be ashamed who are traducing your good behaviour in Christ;
17 Kelemane etu bhal ase, jodi Isor itcha kore, apuni biya kori kene dukh pai thaka pora to bhal kaam kori kene dukh pai thaka to he bhal ase.
for [it is] better doing good, if the will of God will it, to suffer, than doing evil;
18 Kelemane Khrista bhi paap nimite bisi dukh paise. Tai ekjon dharmik thakise kintu amikhan nimite dukh paise, etu pora amikhan ke Isor usorte anibole nimite. Taike gaw mangso te morai dise, kintu Pobitro Atma pora Taike jinda kori dise.
because also Christ once for sin did suffer — righteous for unrighteous — that he might lead us to God, having been put to death indeed, in the flesh, and having been made alive in the spirit,
19 Aru Tai jai kene bondhi ghor te thaka atma khan logote prochar kori bole jaise.
in which also to the spirits in prison having gone he did preach,
20 Kilekoile taikhan poila te, kitia jahaaj bonaise aru Noah laga yug te Isor pora dhorjo hoi kene rukhise, taikhan pora kotha mana nai, Isor pora kunba manu ke he bachai loise- etu hoile, ath-jon atma ke pani pora bachai dise.
who sometime disbelieved, when once the long-suffering of God did wait, in days of Noah — an ark being preparing — in which few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water;
21 Etu etiya amikhan nimite bachai diya laga ekta baptizma laga chihna ase- jineka amikhan laga gaw pora moila dhulai eneka nohoi, kintu Isor usorte bhal bhabona loi kene thaki bole nimite aru etu sob to Jisu Khrista jee-utha laga naam te.
also to which an antitype doth now save us — baptism, (not a putting away of the filth of flesh, but the question of a good conscience in regard to God, ) through the rising again of Jesus Christ,
22 Khrista to Jisu laga dyna hath ase. Tai sorgote jaise. Sorgodoth khan, aru adhikari khan, aru sob takot Tai nichete ahibole lage.
who is at the right hand of God, having gone on to heaven — messengers, and authorities, and powers, having been subjected to him.
