< 1 Peter 2 >
1 Etu nimite sob biya kaam khan chari dibi, aru sob thogai diya kaam aru manu logote dushmani kori thaka khan aru kiman biya bhabona monte rakhi ase eitu khan chari dibi.
Laying aside therefore all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envyings and all evil speakings,
2 Ekta notun jonom kora bacha nisena, atma laga ekdom sapha thaka dudh nimite itcha koribi, etu pora apuni poritran pabole arubi bisi itcha koribo,
as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Aru Isor kotha te likha nisina, jodi apuni Probhu to morom kore koi kene jani loise koile.
if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord [is] good.
4 Tai logote ahibi kun ekta jivit pathor ase, junke manu pora chari disele, kintu Isor he Taike basi loise aru bisi daam laga pathor bonaise.
To whom coming, a living stone, cast away indeed as worthless by men, but with God chosen, precious,
5 Apuni khan bhi ekta jinda thaka pathor nisena ase kunke atma laga ghor bonai dise, etu pora amikhan Isor laga pobitro kaam koribo, jeneka purohit khan kore, aru Jisu Khrista te atma laga bolidan dikena thakibo.
yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Etu nimite, pobitro shastro te eneka likha ase: “Sabi, Moi Zion te kinar laga pathor hali ase, “Basi luwa aru bisi daam laga. Kun manu Taike biswas kore, tai kitia bhi sorom nakhabo.”
Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Apuni khan kun biswas kore tai nimite sonman pabo. Kintu jun kotha namane, “Juntu pathor ghor bona manu khan pora phelai dise, etu he kinar laga pathor matha hoi jaise”-
To you therefore who believe [is] the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of [the] corner,
8 Aru “Ekta rasta bondh kori diya pathor Aru kuntu taikhan ke giribole diye.” Taikhan giri thake kelemane taikhan Isor laga kotha namane- aru etu nimite he taikhan ke bachi loise.
and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; [who] stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Kintu apuni ekjon basi luwa manu khan ase, ekta purohit rajyo, ekta pobitro desh, Isor laga nijor manu khan, etu pora apuni khan Tai laga asurit kaam khan dusra ke koi dibo, Tai jun pora apuni khan ke andhera pora mati kene ujala te loi anise.
But ye [are] a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ek homoi te apuni khan Tai laga manu thaka nai, Kintu etiya apuni khan Isor laga manu hoi jaise. Apuni khan poila te daya panai, Kintu etiya to daya paise.
who once [were] not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Morom laga bhai khan, moi pora apuni khan to dusra desh laga manu thaka nisena, mangso laga itcha pora dur thaki bole nimite mati ase, kun pora apuni laga atma logot lorai kori ase.
Beloved, I exhort [you], as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Porjati khan logote apuni khan bhal kaam kori kene dikhai dibi, etu pora jodi taikhan apuni pora biya kaam kori thaka nisena kotha kore, taikhan apuni laga bhal kaam to dikhibo aru Isor aha laga dinte Taike mohima dibo.
having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that [as to that] in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through [your] good works, [themselves] witnessing [them], glorify God in [the] day of visitation.
13 Manu pora ki adhikar cholai ase etu Probhu nimite mani kene thakibi. Prithibi laga raja khan ke mani kene thakibi,
Be in subjection [therefore] to every human institution for the Lord's sake; whether to [the] king as supreme,
14 Aru Governor khan ke, kun Tai pora pathaise biya kaam kora khan ke saja dibole nimite, aru kun bhal kaam kore taikhan ke prosansa koribo nimite.
or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Kelemane etu Isor laga itcha ase, etu pora apuni ki bhal kaam kori ase etu dikhi kene kaam nathaka murkho khan laga kotha ke chup kori dibo.
Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Ekjon ajad manu nisena, apuni laga ajadi ke biya kaam lukai dibole nimite nacholabi, kintu Isor laga noukar nisena thakibi.
as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Sob manu ke sonman koribi. Bhai kokai khan ke morom thaki bole itcha koribi. Isor ke bhoi koribi. Aru raja ke sonman koribi.
Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Nokorkhan, malik ke sob kaam pora sewa koribi. Khali bhal aru morom kora malik ke he sewa nakori bhi, kintu khechera malik hoilebi taike sewa koribi.
Servants, [be] subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Kelemane etu bisi asis kotha ase ekjon nimite jodi tai logote anyai hoi thaka nimite dukh digdar pai thakile bhi, tai kaam khan kori thake, kele koile tai Isor ke jani loise.
For this [is] acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Apuni khan laga ki labh ase jodi apuni paap kori kene aru etu laga sajah bhi pai? Kintu jodi apuni bhal kaam kori kene sajah pa homoi te dukh pai, eneka korile he apuni Isor usorte mohima pabole yogya ase.
For what glory [is it], if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear [it]? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear [it], this is acceptable with God.
21 Kelemane etu nimite he apuni ke matise, aru Khrista bhi apuni nimite dukh paise. Tai laga jibon pora apuni khan bhal rasta te bera bole nimite dikhai dise.
For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 “Tai eku paap kaam kora nai, Aru Tai laga mukh pora kitia bhi biya kotha ula nai.”
who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Jitia Jisu Khrista ke biya kotha khan koisele, Tai wapas taikhan ke biya kotha koi kene jawab diya nai. Jitia Tai dukh paise, Taikhan ke wapas dukh pabole nimite dhomki diya nai, kintu Tai kun bhal pora bisar kore taike nijor jibon to di dise.
who, [when] reviled, reviled not again; [when] suffering, threatened not; but gave [himself] over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Tai amikhan laga paap to uthaikene nijor gaw to Cross te mori bole dise, etu pora amikhan paap te eku bhag nathakibole nimite, aru amikhan dharmik jibon loi kene jinda thakibo. Tai laga ghaw pora amikhan changai paise.
who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Kelemane apuni khan harai ja mer nisena berai thakise, kintu etiya apuni mer rokhiya logote wapas ahi jaise aru apuni khan laga atma ke bachai diya malik usorte ahise.
For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
