< 1 John 4 >

1 Morom laga bhai khan, sob atma ke biswas nokoribi. Kintu, kuntu atma Isor pora ase etu bhal pora sai lobi, kelemane bisi misa bhabobadi khan prithibi te ulaikene ase.
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but put the spirits to the test to see whether they are from God; for many false teachers have gone out into the world.
2 Etu pora tumikhan Isor laga Atma to janibo- kun manu Jisu Khrista to sharir hoi kene Isor pora ahise koi kene shikar kore,
The test by which you may recognize the Spirit of God is that every spirit which acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come as man is from God,
3 aru kun atma pora Jisu to Isor pora ahise koi kene shikar nakore. Etu Khrista bhirodh kora laga atma ase, jun ahibole ase koi kene tumikhan hunise, aru etiya tai prithibi te ahi jaise.
and that no spirit is from God which does not acknowledge this about Jesus. Such is the spirit of the anti-Christ; of whose coming you have heard, and it is already in the world.
4 Tumikhan Isor pora ase, morom laga bacha khan, aru taikhan ke jiti loise, kelemane etu ekjon kun tumi logote ase Tai etu duniya te thaka ekjon pora bhi sobse dangor ase.
As for you, dear children, you are God's children, and have successfully resisted them; for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
5 Taikhan duniya laga ase; etu nimite taikhan ki koi etu duniya laga he ase, aru duniya laga manu khan taikhan laga kotha he hune.
They are the world's children, and so their language is that of the world, and the world listens to them. We are God's children.
6 Amikhan Isor pora ase. Kun manu Isor ke jane amikhan laga kotha hune. Aru kun manu Isor pora nohoi amikhan laga kotha nahune. Etu pora amikhan jane hosa laga atma aru misa laga atma.
The man who is beginning to know God listens to us, but he who is not a child of God does not listen to us. By this test we can distinguish the Spirit of truth from the spirit of error.
7 Morom laga bhai khan, amikhan ekjon-ekjon ke morom koribo, kelemane morom to Isor pora he ahe, aru kun manu morom kore tai Isor pora jonom loise, kelemane Isor to morom ase.
Dear friends, let us love one another; for love has its origin in God, and every one who loves has become a child of God and is beginning to know God.
8 Kun manu morom kori bole najane tai Isor ke najane, kelemane Isor to morom ase.
He who is destitute of love has never had any knowledge of God; because God is love.
9 Kelemane Isor laga etu morom amikhan ke dikhai diya nimite, Isor pora Tai laga ekjon morom thaka Putro ke duniya te pathai dise aru etu pora moi khan sob Tai logote jinda hoi jabo.
God's love for us has been manifested in that He has sent His only Son into the world so that we may have Life through Him.
10 Etu laga morom to, amikhan pora Isor ke morom kora karone nohoi, kintu Tai pora amikhan ke morom korise, aru Tai amikhan ke Tai laga Putro pathaise amikhan ke paap pora bacha bole nimite.
This is love indeed--we did not love God, but He loved us and sent His Son to be an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
11 Morom laga bhai khan, jodi Isor pora amikhan ke iman morom korise, titia hoile amikhan bhi ekjon-ekjon ke morom kori bole lage.
Dear friends, if God has so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12 Kun manu bhi Isor ke kitia bhi dikha nai. Jodi amikhan ekjon-ekjon ke morom kore, Isor amikhan logote thake, aru Tai laga morom to amikhan logot bhal bonai diye.
No one has ever yet seen God. If we love one another, God continues in union with us, and His love in all its perfection is in our hearts.
13 Etu pora Isor amikhan logote ase koi kene jane, kelemane Tai laga Atma amikhan ke dise.
We can know that we are continuing in union with Him and that He is continuing in union with us, by the fact that He has given us a portion of His Spirit.
14 Aru, amikhan dikhise aru etu laga gawahi ase Baba pora Tai laga Putro ke etu duniya laga Tran-korta hobole pathaise.
And we have seen and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Kun manu nijor laga mukh pora shikar kore Jisu he Isor laga Putro ase koi kene, Isor tai logote ase aru tai bhi Isor logote ase.
Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God--God continues in union with him, and he continues in union with God.
16 Aru, Isor pora amikhan ke morom kora to janise aru biswas korise. Isor to morom ase, aru kun manu etu morom te thake tai Isor logote ase, aru Isor bhi tai logote ase.
And, as for us, we know the love which God has for us, and we confide in it. God is love, and he who continues to love continues in union with God, and God continues in union with him.
17 Etu nimite, morom to amikhan laga majote bhal bonai dise, etu pora amikhan bisar kora laga dinte bharosa kori kene thakibo, kelemane Khrista thaka nisena, amikhan bhi etu duniya te thaki ase.
Our love will be manifested in all its perfection by our having complete confidence on the day of the Judgement; because just what He is, we also are in the world.
18 Morom te eku bhoi nai. Kintu, hosa morom pora sob bhoi phelai diye, kelemane bhoi to sajai pabole nimite ase. Kintu kun manu bhoi kore, morom to tai logote nai.
Love has in it no element of fear; but perfect love drives away fear, because fear involves pain, and if a man gives way to fear, there is something imperfect in his love.
19 Amikhan morom kore kelemane Isor pora poila amikhan ke morom korise.
We love because God first loved us.
If any one says that he loves God, while he hates his brother man, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother man whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
21 Aru, etu he sikhai diya kotha ase kun to amikhan Khrista nimite rakhise, kun manu Isor ke morom kore tai nijor laga bhai ke bhi morom kori bole lage.
And the command which we have from Him is that he who loves God must love his brother man also.
