ဆာလံ 122

1 ၁ ငါတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အိမ်တော်သို့ သွားကြကုန်အံ့ဟု သူတပါးတို့သည် ပြောကြသောအခါ၊ ငါသည် ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းရှိ၏။

I was glad/happy when people said to me, “We should go to the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem]!”

2 ၂ အို ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၊ သင်၏တံခါးတို့အတွင်း၌ ငါတို့သည်ရပ်၍ နေကြလိမ့်မည်။

And now we are here, standing inside the gates/city of [APO] Jerusalem.

3 ၃ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သည် စေ့စပ်သော မြို့ကဲ့သို့ တည်၏။

Jerusalem is a city that has been rebuilt, with the result that people can gather together in it.

4 ၄ အမျိုးအနွှယ်တို့သည် ထိုမြို့သို့တက်ကြ၏။ ဣသရေလအမျိုး ထုံးစံရှိသည်အတိုင်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အမျိုးအနွယ်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နာမတော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းခြင်းငှါ တက်သွားကြ၏။

We [people of the] tribes of Israel who belong to Yahweh can now go up there as Yahweh commanded that we should do, and we can thank him.

5 ၅ ထိုမြို့၌ တရားစီရင်ရာပလ္လင်၊ ဒါဝိဒ်မင်းမျိုး၏ ရာဇပလ္လင်တို့ သည်တည်ကြ၏။

There the kings of Israel who were descendants of [King] David sit on their thrones and decide cases [fairly when the people have disputes].

6 ၆ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ ငြိမ်ဝပ်မည်အကြောင်း ဆု တောင်းကြလော့။ ထိုမြို့ကို မြတ်နိုးစုံမက်သော သူတို့သည် ချမ်းသာရကြပါစေသော။

Pray that there will be peace in Jerusalem; I desire that those who love Jerusalem will (prosper/live peacefully).

7 ၇ သင်၏မြို့ရိုးအတွင်း၌ ငြိမ်ဝပ်ခြင်း၊ သင်၏ဘုံ ဗိမာန်တို့၌ ချမ်းသာခြင်းရှိပါစေသော။

I desire that there will be peace inside the walls of the city and that [people who are] inside the palaces will be safe.

8 ၈ သင်၌ငြိမ်ဝပ်ခြင်းရှိပါစေသောဟု ငါသည် ညီအစ်ကိုအတွက်၊ အဆွေခင်ပွန်းတို့အတွက် ပြောဆို ပါမည်။

For the sake of my relatives and friends, I say, “My desire is that that inside Jerusalem [people will live] peacefully.”

9 ၉ ငါတို့ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အိမ်တော် ကို ထောက်၍၊ သင်၏အကျိုးကို ရှာပါမည်။

And because I love the temple of Yahweh our God, I pray that things will go well for the people who live [in Jerusalem].
