ဆာလံ 120

1 ၁ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ဆင်းရဲခံရသောအခါ ထာဝရ ဘုရားကို အော်ဟစ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် နားထောင် တော်မူ၏။

In my trouble I cried to the Lord: and he heard me.

2 ၂ အိုထာဝရဘုရား၊ အကျွန်ုပ်အသက်ကို သစ္စာ မရှိသော နှုတ်မှ၎င်း၊ လှည့်စားတတ်သော လျှာမှ၎င်း ကယ်နှုတ်တော်မူပါ။

O Lord, deliver my soul from wicked lips, and a deceitful tongue.

3 ၃ အိုလှည့်စားတတ်သောလျှာ၊ သင်သည်အဘယ် ကျေးဇူးရှိ သနည်း။ အဘယ်အကျိုးကိုခံရသနည်း။

What shall be given to thee, or what shall be added to thee, to a deceitful tongue.

4 ၄ အားကြီးသော သူ၏ ထက်သောမြှားကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ ရသမ်သစ်သား မီးခဲကဲ့သို့၎င်းဖြစ်၏။

The sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals that lay waste.

5 ၅ ငါသည် မေရှက်ပြည်၌ တည်းခို၍၊ ကေဒါတဲ၌ နေရသည် အရာမှာ အမင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။

Woe is me, that my sojourning is prolonged! I have dwelt with the inhabitants of cedar:

6 ၆ ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်းကို မုန်းသော သူတို့နှင့်အတူ၊ ငါ့ဝိညာဉ်သည် ကြာမြင့်စွာနေရပါသည်တကား။

My soul hath been long a sojourner.

7 ၇ ငါသည် ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်းဘက်မှာနေ၏။ ငါပြော လျှင်မူကား၊ သူတို့သည် စစ်တိုက်ခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိကြ၏။

With them that hate peace I was peaceable: when I spoke to them they fought against me without cause.
