သုတ္တံကျမ်း 10
1 ၁ ရှောလမုန်မင်း၏ သုတ္တံစကားဟူမူကား၊ ပညာ ရှိသောသားသည် အဘဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းအကြောင်း၊ မိုက် သောသားမူကား၊ အမိဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းအကြောင်းကို ဖြစ်စေတတ်၏။
The Proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father, But a foolish son is the grief of his mother.
Treasures of wickedness do not profit; But righteousness delivereth from death.
3 ၃ ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူကိုငတ်၍ သေစေခြင်းငှါ၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် အခွင့်ပေးတော်မမူ။ မတရားသော သူတို့၏ အဓမ္မအမှုကိုကား ဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူ၏။
The LORD will not suffer the righteous to famish; But he disappointeth the craving of the wicked.
He that worketh with a slack hand becometh poor; But the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
5 ၅ အသီးသီးသောအချိန်၌ သိမ်းယူသောသူသည် ပညာရှိသောသား ဖြစ်၏။ စပါးရိတ်ရာကာလ၌ အိပ် တတ်သောသူမူကား၊ အရှက်ခွဲတတ်သောသားဖြစ်၏။
He that gathereth in summer is a wise son; But he that sleepeth in harvest is a son causing shame.
6 ၆ တရားသောသူ၏ခေါင်းပေါ်မှာ မင်္ဂလာ သက် ရောက်တတ်၏။ မတရားသောသူ၏နှုတ်ကိုကား ညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းအပြစ်သည် ပိတ်လိမ့်မည်။
Blessings are upon the head of the just; But the mouth of the wicked concealeth violence.
The memory of the righteous man shall be blessed; But the name of the wicked shall rot.
He who is wise in heart receiveth precepts; But the foolish talker falleth headlong.
9 ၉ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းလမ်းသို့ လိုက်သောသူသည် အနင်းမှန်လိမ့်မည်။ ကောက်သောလမ်းသို့လိုက်သော သူမူကား၊ သဘောထင်ရှားလိမ့်မည်။
He that walketh uprightly walketh securely; But he that perverteth his ways shall be punished.
He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow; And a foolish talker falleth headlong.
11 ၁၁ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏နှုတ်သည် အသက်ရေ တွင်းဖြစ်၏။ မတရားသောသူ၏ နှုတ်ကိုကား၊ ညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းအပြစ်သည် ပိတ်လိမ့်မည်။
The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life; But the mouth of the wicked concealeth violence.
12 ၁၂ မုန်းသောစိတ်သည် ရန်တွေ့ရာသို့ တိုက်တွန်း တတ်၏။ ချစ်သော စိတ်မူကား၊ ခပ်သိမ်းသော အပြစ် တို့ကို ဖုံးအုပ်တတ်၏။
Hatred stirreth up strife; But love covereth all offences.
Upon the lips of a man of understanding wisdom is found; But a rod is for the back of him that lacketh understanding.
14 ၁၄ ပညာရှိသောသူတို့သည် ကြားသိသောအရာကို သိမ်းထားတတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူ၏နှုတ်မူကား၊ အကျိုး နည်းခြင်းနှင့်နီးစပ်၏။
Wise men treasure up knowledge; But the mouth of the foolish is destruction close at hand.
15 ၁၅ ငွေရတတ်သောသူ၏ စည်းစိမ်သည် သူ၏ခိုင်ခံ့ သောမြို့ဖြစ်၏။ ဆင်းရဲသားတို့၏ဆင်းရဲခြင်းမူကား၊ သူတို့၏ အကျိုးနည်းကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။
The rich man's wealth is his strong city; The destruction of the poor is their poverty.
16 ၁၆ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏အလုပ်အကိုင်သည် အသက်နှင့်၎င်း၊ မတရားသောသူ၏ အကျိုးစီးပွါးသည် အပြစ်နှင့်၎င်း ယှဉ်၏။
The earnings of the righteous minister to life; The revenues of the wicked, to sin.
17 ၁၇ နည်းဥပဒေသကို စောင့်ရှောက်သောသူသည် အသက်လမ်းသို့ လိုက်တတ်၏။ ဆုံးမခြင်းကို ငြင်းပယ် သောသူမူကား လမ်းလွဲတတ်၏။
He that keepeth instruction is in the path of life; But he that refuseth reproof goeth astray.
18 ၁၈ အငြိုးဖွဲ့သောသဘောကို မုသာနှုတ်ခမ်းဖြင့် ဖုံးထားသောသူ၊ သူ့အသရေပျက်အောင် ပြောတတ်သော သူသည် မိုက်သောသဘောရှိ၏။
He that hideth hatred hath lying lips; And he that uttereth slander is a fool.
In the multitude of words there wanteth not offence; But he who restraineth his lips is wise.
The tongue of the righteous is as choice silver; The understanding of the wicked is of little worth.
21 ၂၁ ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူ၏နှုတ်ခမ်းတို့သည် လူအ များကို ကျွေးတတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူတို့မူကား၊ ဥာဏ်မ ရှိသောကြောင့် သေကြလိမ့် မည်။
The lips of the righteous feed many; But fools die through want of wisdom.
22 ၂၂ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကြီးမင်္ဂလာသည် စည်းစိမ်ကိုဖြစ်စေ တတ်၏။ ထိုစည်းစိမ်နှင့်လည်း၊ ဝမ်း နည်းခြင်းအကြောင်းကို ရောနှော တော်မမူ။
It is the blessing of the LORD that maketh rich, And he addeth no sorrow with it.
It is as sport to a fool to do mischief; But a man of understanding hath wisdom.
24 ၂၄ မတရားသောသူကြောက်တတ်သော အမှုသည် သူ့အပေါ်သို့ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ တောင့်တသော အကျိုးကိုကား၊ ဘုရားသခင် ပေးတော်မူ မည်။
The fear of the wicked shall come upon him; But the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
25 ၂၅ မတရားသောသူသည် လွန်သွားသော လေဘွေ ကဲ့သို့ ပျောက်တတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူမူကား၊ မြဲမြံ သော တိုက်မြစ်ဖြစ်၏။
When the whirlwind passeth by, the wicked is no more; But the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
26 ၂၆ ပုံးရည်သည်သွား၌၎င်း၊ မီးခိုးသည် မျက်စိ၌ ၎င်း ဖြစ်သကဲ့သို့၊ ပျင်းရိသောသူသည် စေလွှတ်သော သူ၌ဖြစ်၏။
As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, So is the sluggard to them that send him.
27 ၂၇ ထာဝရဘုရားကိုကြောက်ရွံ့သော သဘောသည် အသက်တာကို ရှည်စေတတ်၏။ မတရားသော သူ၏ နှစ်ပေါင်းကာလမူကား တိုတတ်၏။
The fear of the LORD prolongeth life; But the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
28 ၂၈ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ မြော်လင့်ခြင်းသည် ဝမ်းမြောက်စရာအကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။ ဆိုးသောသူ၏ မြော်လင့်ခြင်းမူကား ပျောက်ပျက်လိမ့်မည်။
The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: But the expectation of the wicked shall come to nothing.
29 ၂၉ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ တရားလမ်းသည် ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူ ခိုင်ခံ့ခြင်းအကြောင်း ဖြစ်၏။ မတရားသဖြင့် ကျင့်သောသူတို့မူကား၊ ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ရကြ လိမ့်မည်။
The way of the LORD is a stronghold for the upright, But destruction for those who do iniquity.
The righteous shall never be moved; But the wicked shall not dwell in the land.
The mouth of the righteous man yieldeth wisdom; But the perverse tongue shall be cut off.
32 ၃၂ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ နှုတ်ခမ်းတို့သည် နှစ်သက်ဘွယ်သော အရာကို သိကျွမ်းတတ်၏။ မတရား သော သူတို့မူကား၊ ဆန့်ကျင်သော စကားကို ပြောတတ် ကြ၏။
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable; But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse.
