ဆာလံ 137

1 ၁ ဗာဗုလုန် မြစ် တို့အနား မှာ ငါတို့သည်ထိုင် ၍ ၊ ဇိအုန် မြို့ကို အောက်မေ့ လျက် ငိုကြွေး ကြ၏။

By the rivers of Babylon [Confusion], there we sat down. Yes, we wept, when we remembered Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking].

2 ၂ ငါ တို့စောင်း များကိုလည်း ထို အရပ်တွင် မိုဃ်းမခ ပင်တို့၌ ဆွဲထား ကြ၏။

On the willows in that land, we hung up our harps.

3 ၃ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ထို အရပ်၌ ငါ တို့ကို ဘမ်း သွားချုပ်ထားသော သူနှင့် ၊ ငါ တို့ကိုညှဉ်းဆဲ သောသူတို့က၊ ဇိအုန် သီချင်း ကို ငါ တို့အား ဆို ကြလော့ဟု၊ သီချင်း ဆိုသံ ကို၎င်း၊ ရွှင်လန်း သော အသံကို၎င်း၊ ငါ တို့၌ တောင်း ကြပါ သည်တကား။

For there, those who led us captive asked us for songs. Those who tormented us demanded songs of joy: “Sing us one of the songs of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]!”

4 ၄ တကျွန်း တနိုင်ငံ၌ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ သီချင်း ကို အဘယ်သို့ ဆို ရပါမည်နည်း။

How can we sing Adonai’s song in a foreign land?

5 ၅ အိုယေရုရှလင် မြို့၊ သင့် ကို ငါမေ့ လျှင် ငါ့ လက်ျာ လက်သည် မိမိအတတ်ကိုမေ့ ပါစေ။

If I forget you, Jerusalem [City of peace], let my right hand forget its skill.

6 ၆ သင့် ကိုငါမ အောက်မေ့ ၊ အမြတ် ဆုံးသော ဝမ်းမြောက် ခြင်းအကြောင်း ထက်၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့ကို အမြတ် မ ထားလျှင် ၊ ငါ့ လျှာ သည် အာခေါင် ၌ ထပ် ပါစေ။

Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I don’t remember you; if I don’t prefer Jerusalem [City of peace] above my chief joy.

7 ၇ အိုထာဝရဘုရား ၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၏ နေ့ရက်အချိန်ရောက်သောအခါ၊ မြို့ရိုး ကို အမြစ် တိုင်အောင် ရှင်း လိုက်ကြ၊ ရှင်း လိုက်ကြဟု ဆို ကြသော ဧဒုံ အမျိုးသား တို့ကို အောက်မေ့ တော်မူပါ။

Remember, Adonai, against the children of Edom [Red], the day of Jerusalem [City of peace]; who said, “Raze it! Raze it even to its foundation!”

8 ၈ ဖျက်ဆီး တတ်သော ဗာဗုလုန် မင်းသမီး ၊ သင် သည် ငါ တို့၌ ပြု သည်အတိုင်း ၊ သင် ၌ အပြစ် ကိုဆပ်ပေး သောသူ သည် မင်္ဂလာ ရှိ၏။

Daughter of Babylon [Confusion], doomed to destruction, he will be happy who rewards you, as you have served us.

9 ၉ သင် ၏သူငယ် တို့ကိုကိုင်ယူ ၍ ၊ ကျောက် ပေါ် မှာ ဆောင့် သောသူသည် မင်္ဂလာ ရှိ၏။

Happy shall he be, who takes and dashes your little ones against the rock.
