ဆာလံ 129

1 ၁ ငယ် သောအရွယ်မှစ၍ ၊ ကြိမ်ဖန်များစွာ ငါ့ ကို သူတပါးတို့သည် ညှဉ်းဆဲ ကြပြီဟူသောစကားနှင့်ချီ၍၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးဆို ရသော စကားဟူမူကား၊

A song of degrees. They haue often times afflicted me from my youth (may Israel nowe say)

2 ၂ ငယ် သောအရွယ်မှစ၍ ၊ ကြိမ်ဖန်များစွာ ငါ့ ကို သူတပါးတို့သည် ညှဉ်းဆဲ ကြပြီ။ သို့သော်လည်း ငါ့ ကို မ နိုင် ကြ။

They haue often times afflicted me from my youth: but they could not preuaile against me.

3 ၃ ထွန် သောသူတို့ သည် ငါ့ ကျော ပေါ် မှာ ထွန် ၍၊ ရှည်သော ထွန် ကြောင်းတို့ကို ဖြစ် စေကြ၏။

The plowers plowed vpon my backe, and made long furrowes.

4 ၄ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ဖြောင့်မတ် တော်မူ၏။ မ တရားသောသူတို့ ၏ ကြိုး တို့ကို ဖြတ် တော်မူပြီ။

But the righteous Lord hath cut the cordes of the wicked.

5 ၅ ဇိအုန် မြို့ကို မုန်း သောသူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ရှက်ကြောက် ၍ လှန် ခြင်းကိုခံရကြပါစေ။

They that hate Zion, shalbe all ashamed and turned backward.

6 ၆ အိမ်မိုး ပေါ်မှာ ပေါက် ၍၊ အဘယ်သူမျှမနှုတ်ဘဲ ညှိုးနွမ်း တတ် သော မြက်ပင် ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ် ကြပါစေ။

They shalbe as the grasse on the house tops, which withereth afore it commeth forth.

7 ၇ ထိုမြက်ပင်ကိုရိတ် သောသူသည် လက်တဆုပ်မျှ မရ။ စည်း သောသူလည်း လက် တပွေ့ မျှမ ရ။

Whereof the mower filleth not his hand, neither the glainer his lap:

8 ၈ လမ်း၌ ရှောက်သွား သော သူတို့ ကလည်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ပေးတော်မူသော မင်္ဂလာ သက်ရောက် ပါစေ သော။ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ နာမတော် ကို အမှီပြု၍၊ သင် တို့ကို ကောင်းကြီး ပေးကြ၏ဟု မ ပြော မဆိုရကြ။

Neither they, which go by, say, The blessing of the Lord be vpon you, or, We blesse you in the Name of the Lord.
