1 ၁ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် အိမ် ကို ဆောက် တော်မ မူ လျှင် ၊ ဆောက် သောသူတို့ သည် အချည်းနှီး လုပ်ဆောင် ကြ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် မြို့ ကို စောင့် တော်မ မူလျှင် ၊ ကင်း စောင့်တို့သည် အချည်းနှီး စောင့် ကြ၏။

2 ၂ စောစော ထလျက်၊ ညဉ့်နက်သည်တိုင်အောင်မအိပ်ဘဲနေလျက်၊ ပင်ပန်း စွာ အစာ စား လျက်နေ သော်လည်း အကျိုး မရှိ။ အိပ်ပျော် ရသောအခွင့်ကို ချစ် တော်မူသောသူအား အမှန်ပေး တော်မူ၏။

vanity: vain to/for you to rise to arise: rise to delay to dwell to eat food: bread [the] toil so to give: give to/for beloved his sleep

3 ၃ ဘွား မြင်သော သား သမီးတို့သည်ထာဝရဘုရား ဆု ချ၍ ပေးသနားတော်မူသောအမွေ ဥစ္စာဖြစ်ကြ၏။

behold inheritance LORD son: child wages fruit [the] belly: womb

4 ၄ အသက် ပျိုစဉ်၊ ဘွားမြင်သော သားသမီး တို့ သည် သူရဲ လက် ၌ ရှိသောမြှား ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်ကြ၏။

5 ၅ မိမိ မြှား တောင့်ကို သူ တို့နှင့် ပြည့် စေသောသူ သည် မင်္ဂလာ ရှိ၏။ သူတို့သည် ရှက်ကြောက်ခြင်းမ ရှိ။ ရန်သူ တို့ကို တံခါး ဝ၌ ဆီးတား ကြလိမ့်မည်။
