ဆာလံ 124

1 ၁ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ တို့ဘက်မှာ ရှိ တော်မ မူလျှင်ဟူသောစကား နှင့် ချီ၍၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးဆိုရ သောစကား ဟူမူကား၊

A Song of the going up. Of David. If it had not been the Lord who was on our side (let Israel now say);

2 ၂ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ တို့ဘက် မှာ ရှိ တော်မ မူလျှင်၊ လူ တို့သည် ငါ တို့ရန်ဘက် ၌ နေကြသောအခါ၊

If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men came up against us;

3 ၃ အမျက် ထွက် ၍ ငါ တို့ကို အသက် နှင့်တကွ မျို ကြပြီတကား။

They would have made a meal of us while still living, in the heat of their wrath against us:

4 ၄ ထိုအခါ ငါ တို့ကို ရေ သည်၊ လွှမ်းမိုး ၍ စီး သော ရေသည် ငါ တို့အသက် ဝိညာဉ်အပေါ် မှာ ကျော် သွားပြီ တကား။

We would have been covered by the waters; the streams would have gone over our soul;

5 ၅ စော်ကား သော ရေ တို့သည် ငါ တို့အသက် ဝိညာဉ်အပေါ် မှာ ကျော်သွား ကြပြီတကား။

Yes, the waters of pride would have gone over our soul.

6 ၆ သူ တို့သွား နှင့် ကိုက် ခဲရာဘို့ ငါ တို့ကို အပ် တော် မ မူသော ထာဝရဘုရား သည် မင်္ဂလာ ရှိတော်မူစေ သတည်း။

Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be wounded by their teeth.

7 ၇ ငှက် သည် မုဆိုး တို့၏ ကျော့ကွင်း ထဲက လွတ် သကဲ့သို့ ၊ ငါ တို့အသက် သည် လွတ်လျက်ရှိ၏။ ကျော့ကွင်း ပြတ် ၍ ငါ တို့သည် လွတ် ကြပြီ။

Our soul has gone free like a bird out of the net of those who would take her: the net is broken, and we are free.

8 ၈ ကောင်းကင် နှင့် မြေကြီး ကို ဖန်ဆင်း တော်မူ သောထာဝရဘုရား ၏ နာမ တော်အားဖြင့် ၊ ငါ တို့သည် မစ ခြင်းကျေးဇူးကိုခံရကြသတည်း။
