သုတ္တံကျမ်း 28
1 ၁ လိုက် သောသူမ ရှိသော်လည်း ၊ မ တရားသောသူသည် ပြေး တတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူမူကား ၊ ခြင်္သေ့ ကဲ့သို့ ရဲရင့် တတ်၏။
The wicked flee when none pursueth: but the righteous are bolde as a lyon.
2 ၂ ပြည်သူ ပြည်သားအပြစ် ကြောင့် ၊ မင်း တို့သည် များပြား တတ်ကြ၏။ ဉာဏ် ပညာနှင့် ပြည့်စုံ သောသူအားဖြင့် နိုင်ငံ တည်တတ်၏။
For the transgression of the land there are many princes thereof: but by a man of vnderstanding and knowledge a realme likewise endureth long.
3 ၃ ဆင်းရဲ သားတို့ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲ သော ဆင်းရဲ သားသည် အဘယ်စားစရာ မျှ မ ကြွင်းစေဘဲ၊ သုတ်သင် ပယ်ရှင်း သော မိုဃ်း ရေနှင့်တူ၏။
A poore man, if he oppresse the poore, is like a raging raine, that leaueth no foode.
4 ၄ တရား ကိုဖျက် သောသူသည် မ တရားသောသူတို့ ကို ချီးမွမ်း တတ်၏။ တရား ကို စောင့် သောသူမူကား ၊ သူ တို့နှင့် ဆန့်ကျင် ဘက်ပြုတတ်၏။
They that forsake the Law, prayse the wicked: but they that keepe the Law, set themselues against them.
5 ၅ အဓမ္မ လူ သည် တရား စီရင်ခြင်းကို နား မ လည်တတ်။ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ရှာ သောသူမူကား ၊ ခပ်သိမ်း သော စီရင်ခြင်းကို နားလည် တတ်၏။
Wicked men vnderstand not iudgemnt: but they that seeke the Lord vnderstand all things.
6 ၆ မ မှန်သောအမှုကို ပြု သောသူ သည် ငွေ ရတတ်သော်လည်း ၊ ဖြောင့်မတ် ခြင်းလမ်းသို့ လိုက် သော ဆင်းရဲ သားသည် သာ၍ မြတ် ၏။
Better is the poore that walketh in his vprightnesse, then hee that peruerteth his wayes, though he be riche.
7 ၇ တရား ကိုစောင့် သောသူသည် ပညာ ရှိသော သား ဖြစ်၏။ စားကြူး သောသူတို့နှင့် ပေါင်းဘော် သောသူ မူကား ၊ မိမိ အဘ ကို အရှက်ခွဲ တတ်၏။
He that keepeth the Law, is a childe of vnderstanding: but hee that feedeth the gluttons, shameth his father.
8 ၈ အတိုး စား၍ မတရားသော အမြတ်အားဖြင့်ဥစ္စာ ကို ဆည်းဖူးသောသူ သည် ဆင်းရဲသား တို့ကို သနား သောသူအဘို့ သာ ဆည်းဖူး တတ်၏။
He that increaseth his riches by vsurie and interest, gathereth them for him that will be mercifull vnto the poore.
He that turneth away his eare from hearing the Law, euen his prayer shalbe abominable.
10 ၁၀ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူကို လမ်းလွှဲ၍၊ မ ကောင်းသော လမ်း ထဲသို့ သွေးဆောင် သောသူသည် မိမိ တူး သော တွင်းထဲသို့ မိမိ ကျ လိမ့်မည်။ သဘော ဖြောင့်သောသူမူကား ၊ ကောင်း သောအရာတို့ကို အမွေခံ ရလိမ့်မည်။
He that causeth the righteous to go astray by an euill way, shall fall into his owne pit, and the vpright shall inherite good things.
11 ၁၁ ငွေ ရတတ်သောသူ က၊ ငါသည်ပညာ ရှိ၏ဟု ကိုယ်ကို ထင်တတ်၏။ ဉာဏ် ကောင်းသော ဆင်းရဲသား မူကား ၊ ထိုသူ ကို စစ်ကြော တတ်၏။
The riche man is wise in his owne conceite: but the poore that hath vnderstanding, can trie him.
12 ၁၂ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူတို့သည် ဝမ်းမြောက် သောအခါ ဘုန်း ကြီး တတ်၏။ မ တရားသောသူတို့သည် ချီးမြှောက် ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သောအခါ လူ တို့သည် ပုန်းရှောင် ၍ နေတတ်ကြ၏။
When righteous men reioyce, there is great glory: but when the wicked come vp, the man is tried.
13 ၁၃ မိမိ အပြစ် ကို ဝှက်ထား သောသူသည် ချမ်းသာ မ ရ။ မိမိအပြစ်ကို ဘော်ပြ ဝန်ချ၍ စွန့်ပစ် သော သူမူကား ၊ ကရုဏာ တော်ကိုခံရလိမ့်မည်။
He that hideth his sinnes, shall not prosper: but he that confesseth, and forsaketh them, shall haue mercy.
14 ၁၄ အစဉ် မပြတ်ကြောက်ရွံ့ သောသူ သည် မင်္ဂလာ ရှိ ၏။ မိမိ စိတ် နှလုံးကို ခိုင်မာ စေသောသူမူကား ၊ ဘေးဥပဒ် နှင့် တွေ့ လိမ့်မည်။
Blessed is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart, shall fall into euill.
As a roaring lyon, and an hungry beare, so is a wicked ruler ouer the poore people.
16 ၁၆ ဉာဏ် မ ရှိသောမင်း သည် ပြင်း စွာညှဉ်းဆဲ တတ် ၏။ လောဘ ကို မုန်း သောမင်းမူကား၊ အသက်တာ ရှည် လိမ့်မည်။
A prince destitute of vnderstanding, is also a great oppressour: but hee that hateth couetousnes, shall prolong his dayes.
A man that doeth violence against the blood of a person, shall flee vnto the graue, and they shall not stay him.
18 ၁၈ ဖြောင့် သောလမ်းသို့ လိုက် သောသူသည်ဘေး လွတ်လိမ့်မည်။ ကောက် သောလမ်းသို့ လိုက်သောသူမူကား ၊ ချက်ခြင်း လဲ လိမ့်မည်။
He that walketh vprightly, shalbe saued: but he that is froward in his wayes, shall once fall.
19 ၁၉ လယ် လုပ် သောသူသည် ဝ စွာစားရ၏။ အချည်းနှီး သောအမှုကို စောင့် သောသူမူကား ၊ ဆင်းရဲ ခြင်းနှင့် ဝ လိမ့်မည်။
He that tilleth his land, shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth the idle, shall be filled with pouertie.
20 ၂၀ သစ္စာ စောင့်သောသူ သည် ကောင်းကြီး မင်္ဂလာ နှင့် ကြွယ်ဝ လိမ့်မည်။ ငွေ ရတတ်ခြင်းငှါ အလျင် အမြန်ပြုသောသူမူကား ၊ အပြစ် နှင့်မ လွတ်ရ။
A faythfull man shall abound in blessings, and he that maketh haste to be riche, shall not be innocent.
21 ၂၁ လူမျက်နှာ ကို မ ထောက် ကောင်း။ သို့သော်လည်း ၊ လူ သည် မုန့် တဖဲ့ ကိုရခြင်းငှါ ဒုစရိုက် ကို ပြုလိမ့်မည်။
To haue respect of persons is not good: for that man will transgresse for a piece of bread.
22 ၂၂ ငွေ ရတတ်ခြင်းငှါ အလျင်အမြန် ပြုသော သူ သည် မ နာလိုသောသဘော ရှိတတ်၏။ နောက် တဖန် ဆင်းရဲ ခြင်းသို့ ရောက် မည်ဟု မ အောက်မေ့ တတ်။
A man with a wicked eye hasteth to riches, and knoweth not, that pouertie shall come vpon him.
23 ၂၃ ချော့မော့သောစကားကို ပြောသောသူသည် ကျေးဇူးကိုခံရသည်ထက်၊ ဆုံးမပြစ်တင်သောသူသည် နောက်တဖန် သာ၍ကျေးဇူးကိုခံရလိမ့်မည်။
He that rebuketh a man, shall finde more fauour at length, then he that flattereth with his tongue.
Hee that robbeth his father and mother, and sayth, It is no transgression, is the companion of a man that destroyeth.
25 ၂၅ စိတ် မြင့် သောသူသည် ခိုက်ရန် ကို နှိုးဆော် တတ် ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ခိုလှုံ သောသူမူကား ၊ ကြွယ်ဝ တတ် ၏။
He that is of a proude heart, stirreth vp strife: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shall be fatte.
26 ၂၆ မိမိ စိတ် နှလုံးကို ကိုးစား သောသူသည် လူမိုက် ဖြစ်၏။ ပညာ သတိနှင့် ကျင့် သောသူမူကား ၊ ဘေးလွတ် တတ်၏။
Hee that trusteth in his owne heart, is a foole: but he that walketh in wisdome, shall be deliuered.
27 ၂၇ ဆင်းရဲ သားတို့အား စွန့်ကြဲ သောသူသည်ကိုယ်တိုင် မ ဆင်းရဲ ရာ။ လွှဲရှောင် သောသူမူကား ၊ များစွာ သော ကျိန်ဆဲ ခြင်းကိုခံရ လိမ့်မည်။
He that giueth vnto the poore, shall not lacke: but he that hideth his eyes, shall haue many curses.
28 ၂၈ မ တရားသောသူတို့သည် ချီးမြှောက် ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သောအခါ ၊ လူ တို့သည် ပုန်းရှောင် ၍ နေရကြ၏။ ပျက်စီး ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သောအခါ ၊ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူတို့ သည် ပွားများ တတ်ကြ၏။
When the wicked rise vp, men hide them selues: but when they perish, ye righteous increase.
