1 ၁ ငါး ၏ဝမ်း ထဲမှာနေစဉ်တွင်၊ ယောန သည် မိမိ ဘုရား သခင် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ဆုတောင်း သောစကားဟူမူကား ၊
Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish.
2 ၂ ငါသည် ဒုက္ခ ဆင်းရဲကို ခံရသောကြောင့်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ဟစ် ခေါ်၍ ငါ့ စကားကို ကြား တော်မူ၏။ မရဏာ နိုင်ငံ၏ ဝမ်း ထဲက ဟစ် ခေါ်သော စကား သံကို နားထောင် တော်မူ၏။ (Sheol h7585)
He began, “In my agony I cried out to the Lord and he answered me; from the depths of Sheol I pleaded for help and you answered me. (Sheol h7585)
3 ၃ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ် ကို နက်နဲ သောအရပ်၊ သမုဒ္ဒရာ အလယ် ချက်ထဲ သို့ ချ ပစ်တော်မူသဖြင့် ၊ ပင်လယ် ရေသည် ဝိုင်း ၍ လှိုင်း တံပိုး တော်ရှိသမျှ တို့သည် လွှမ်း မွန်း ကြပါ၏။
You threw me into the deep, all the way down to the bottom of the sea. Water flooded all around me; your crashing waves rolled over me.
4 ၄ ထိုသို့ မျက်မှောက် တော်မှ နှင်ထုတ် ခြင်းကို ခံရသော်လည်း ၊ သန့်ရှင်း သောဗိမာန် တော်ကို မျက်မှောက် ပြု မြဲ ပြုပါမည်ဟု အောက်မေ့လျက်နေ၏။
I said to myself, ‘The Lord has banished me from his sight. Will I ever see your holy Temple again?’
5 ၅ ရေ တို့သည် အကျွန်ုပ်အသက်ကို သေစေခြင်းငှါ ဝိုင်း သဖြင့်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ပင်လယ် အလယ်၌ အချုပ် ခံရပါ၏။ ပင်လယ်မြက်ပင် သည် အကျွန်ုပ် ခေါင်း ကို ပေါင်းစည်း လျက်ရှိပါ၏။
The water swirled over me so I couldn't breathe; the deep sucked me down; seaweed wrapped itself around my head.
6 ၆ တောင် ခြေရင်း အမြစ်သို့ အကျွန်ုပ်ဆင်း ၍၊ မြေ ကန့်လန့်ကျင် အတွင်း၌ အစဉ် အမြဲပိတ်ထားသော်လည်း ၊ အကျွန်ုပ် ၏ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ် အသက် ကို ပျက်စီး ရာမှ ကယ်ဆယ် တော်မူလိမ့်မည်။
I sank down to the base of the mountains; the earth barred me in forever. But you, my Lord, my God, brought me back up from the abyss.
7 ၇ အကျွန်ုပ် သည် စိတ်ပျက် သောအခါ ထာဝရဘုရား ကို အောက်မေ့ ၍ ၊ အကျွန်ုပ် ၏ပဌနာ သည် သန့်ရှင်း သော ဗိမာန် တော်၌ ကိုယ်တော် ထံ သို့ဝင် ပါ၏။
As my life ebbed away, I remembered the Lord; my prayer came to you in your holy Temple.
8 ၈ မုသာ အနတ္တ ကို မှီဝဲ သောသူတို့သည် မိမိ တို့ ကရုဏာ ခံရာအကြောင်းကို စွန့်ပစ် ကြပါ၏။
Those who worship worthless idols give up their trust in God's goodness.
9 ၉ အကျွန်ုပ် မူကား ၊ ကျေးဇူး တော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းသော စကား နှင့် ကိုယ်တော် အား ယဇ် ပူဇော်ပါမည်။ သစ္စာ ဂတိ ထားသည်အတိုင်း သစ္စာဝတ် ကို ပြုပါမည်။ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကြောင့် ချမ်းသာ ရပါသည်ဟု ဆုတောင်းလေ၏။
But I will offer you sacrifices, shouting out my thanks. I will keep my promises to you, for salvation comes from the Lord.”
10 ၁၀ ထိုအခါ ငါး ကြီးသည် ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ အမိန့် တော်ကိုခံ ၍ ယောန ကို ကုန်း ပေါ် သို့ အန် လေ၏။
Then the Lord told the fish to spit out Jonah onto the shore.
