ကမ္ဘာဦး 18
1 ၁ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် မံရေ သပိတ် တောနား မှာ၊ အာဗြဟံ အား ထင်ရှား တော်မူသည် အကြောင်းအရာဟူမူကား ၊ နေ ပူ သောအချိန်တွင် အာဗြဟံသည် တဲ တံခါးဝ ၌ ထိုင် လျက်၊
And Jehovah appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre. And he sat at the tent-door in the heat of the day.
2 ၂ မြော် ကြည့် ၍ ၊ မိမိ ရှေ့ မှာ လူ သုံး ယောက် ရပ် နေကြသည်ကို မြင် သောအခါ ၊ ခရီးဦးကြိုပြု ခြင်းငှါ တဲ တံခါးဝ မှ ပြေး ၍ မြေ သို့ ဦးညွတ် ချလျက်၊
And he lifted up his eyes and saw, and behold, three men standing near him. And when he saw [them], he ran to meet them from the tent-door, and bowed himself to the earth,
and said, Lord, if now I have found favour in thine eyes, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant.
Let now a little water be fetched, that ye may wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.
5 ၅ မုန့် အနည်းငယ် ကိုလည်း ယူ ခဲ့ပါမည်။ အမောအပန်း ပြေသောအခါ သွား ကြပါလော့။ ထိုသို့ သော ကျေးဇူးတော်ကိုခံ စေခြင်းငှါ၊ ကိုယ်တော် ကျွန် ရှိရာသို့ ရောက် ပါပြီဟုဆို၏။ ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း ၊ ပြော သည်အတိုင်း ပြု ပါလော့ဟုဆို ကြ၏။
And I will fetch a morsel of bread; and refresh yourselves; after that ye shall pass on; for therefore have ye passed on towards your servant. And they said, So do as thou hast said.
6 ၆ အာဗြဟံ သည်လည်း ၊ တဲ အတွင်း ၌ရှိသောစာရာ ဆီသို့ အလျင်အမြန် ဝင်ပြီးလျှင် ၊ ဂျုံမုန့်ညက် သုံး စလယ် ကို အသော့ ပြင်၍နယ် ပါ။ ပေါင်မုန့် ကို လုပ် ပါဟုဆို လေ၏။
And Abraham hastened into the tent to Sarah, and said, Knead quickly three seahs of wheaten flour, and make cakes.
7 ၇ တဖန် နွား စုသို့ ပြေး ၍ နုထွား ကောင်းမွန်သော နွားသငယ် ကို ယူခဲ့၍၊ လုလင် ၌ အပ် သဖြင့် မြန်မြန် ပြင်ဆင် စေ ၏။
And Abraham ran to the herd, and took a calf tender and good, and gave [it] to the attendant; and he hasted to dress it.
8 ၈ ထိုနောက် နို့ နှင့် နို့ဓမ်း ကို၎င်း၊ ပြင်ဆင် သော နွား သငယ် ကို၎င်း ယူ ၍၊ ထိုသူ တို့ရှေ့ ၌ ထည့် ပြီးလျှင် ၊ သစ်ပင် အောက် ၊ သူ တို့အနား မှာရပ် နေ၍ ၊ သူတို့သည် စား ကြ၏။
And he took thick and sweet milk, and the calf that he had dressed, and set [it] before them; and he stood before them under the tree, and they ate.
9 ၉ ပြီး သောအခါ၊ သင် ၏ မယား စာရာ သည် အဘယ် မှာရှိသနည်းဟုမေး ကြလျှင်၊ တဲ အတွင်း ၌ ရှိပါသည်ဟု ပြန် ပြော၏။
And they said to him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.
10 ၁၀ ထိုသူတို့တွင် တပါးကလည်း၊ ဘွားချိန်စေ့သောအခါ၊ ငါသည် သင့် ဆီသို့ ဆက်ဆက်ပြန်လာ ဦးမည်။ ထိုအခါ သင် ၏မယား စာရာ သည် သား ကို ရလိမ့်မည်ဟု ပြောဆို၏။ ထိုသို့ဆိုသောသူ ၏နောက် ၌ တံခါးဝ အနား မှာ၊ စာရာရှိသောကြောင့်ထိုစကားကိုကြား၏။
And he said, I will certainly return to thee at [this] time of the year, and behold, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah was listening at the tent-door, which was behind him.
11 ၁၁ ထိုအခါ အာဗြဟံ နှင့် စာရာ သည် အသက် အရွယ် ကြီးရင့်လှပြီ။ စာရာ သည် မိန်းမ တို့၌ ဥတုရောက် မြဲ ရှိသည့်အတိုင်း မ ရောက်ပြီ။
Now Abraham and Sarah were old [and] advanced in age: it had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 ၁၂ ထိုကြောင့် စာရာ က၊ ငါ လည်းအို ပြီ၊ ငါ့ သခင် လည်း အို ပြီ၊ သို့ဖြစ်၍ငါ သည် ပျော်မွေ့ ခြင်းရှိလိမ့်မည် လောဟု ဆိုလျှက်၊ တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ ရယ် လေ၏။
And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am become old, shall I have pleasure, and my lord old?
13 ၁၃ သင်၏မယားစာရာ က၊ အကယ်၍ငါ သည် အို ပြီး မှ၊ သားကို ဘွား လိမ့်မည်လောဟုဆို လျက် ၊ အဘယ်ကြောင့် ရယ် သနည်း။
And Jehovah said to Abraham, Why is this, that Sarah laughs, saying, Shall I indeed bear, when I am become old?
14 ၁၄ ထာဝရဘုရား မ တတ်နိုင်သောအမှု တစုံတခု ရှိသလော။ ချိန်းချက်သော ဘွားချိန် စေ့သောအခါ ၊ သင့် ဆီသို့ ငါပြန် လာ၍၊ စာရာ သည် သား ကို ရလိမ့်မည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရား သည် အာဗြဟံ အား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
Is [any] matter too wonderful for Jehovah? At the time appointed I will return to thee, at [this] time of the year, and Sarah shall have a son.
And Sarah denied, saying, I did not laugh; for she was afraid. And he said, No; but thou didst laugh.
16 ၁၆ ထိုလူ တို့သည် ထို အရပ်က ထ ၍ သောဒုံ မြို့သို့ မျက်နှာ ပြုလျက် သွားကြ၏။ အာဗြဟံ သည်လည်း သူ တို့ ကို ပို့ ခြင်းငှါ လိုက် လေ၏။
And the men rose up thence, and looked toward Sodom; and Abraham went with them to conduct them.
And Jehovah said, Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing?
18 ၁၈ အာဗြဟံ သည် ကြီးမြတ် ၍ ၊ တန်ခိုး နှင့်ပြည့်စုံသော လူမျိုး ဖြစ် လိမ့်မည်။ လူမျိုး အပေါင်း တို့သည် သူ့ အားဖြင့် ကောင်းကြီး မင်္ဂလာကို ခံရကြလိမ့်မည်။
Since Abraham shall indeed become a great and mighty nation; and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him.
19 ၁၉ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ သူ သည် မိမိ နောက် ၌ ဖြစ်သော သား များ၊ အိမ်သူ များတို့အား ပညတ် မည့်အရာကို ငါသိ၏။ သူတို့သည်လည်း ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ တရား လမ်းသို့ လိုက် ၍ ဟုတ်မှန် ဖြောင့်မတ် ကျင့် ကြ လိမ့်မည်။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ဂတိတော် ရှိသည့်အတိုင်း ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် အာဗြဟံ ၌ ပြုရသော အခွင့်ရှိလိမ့်မည်ဟု အကြံတော်ရှိ၏။
For I know him that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of Jehovah, to do righteousness and justice, in order that Jehovah may bring upon Abraham what he hath spoken of him.
20 ၂၀ တဖန် ထာဝရဘုရား က၊ သောဒုံ မြို့၊ ဂေါမောရ မြို့၌ ကြွေးကြော် သော အသံသည်ကြီး၍၊ အလွန် အပြစ် လေးသောကြောင့်၊
And Jehovah said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grievous,
21 ၂၁ ယခု ငါသွား ၍ ငါ့ ရှေ့သို့ရောက် ခဲ့ပြီးသော ကြွေးကြော် ခြင်းရှိသည်အတိုင်း ၊ သူတို့သည် အမှန်ပြုသည် မ ပြုသည်ကို ငါကြည့်ရှု မည်။ မ ပြု လျှင် မပြုကြောင်း ကို ငါသိ မည် ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come to me; and if not, I will know [it].
22 ၂၂ ထိုသူတို့သည် ထို အရပ်မှ မျက်နှာလှည့် ၍ သောဒုံ မြို့သို့ သွား ကြ၏။ အာဗြံဟံ မူကား ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့တော်၌ ရပ် နေလျက်ရှိ သေး၏။
And the men turned thence, and went towards Sodom; and Abraham remained yet standing before Jehovah.
23 ၂၃ ထိုအခါ အာဗြဟံ ချဉ်းကပ် ၍ ၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူတို့ ကို၊ မတရား သောသူတို့ နှင့်တကွ ဖျက်ဆီး တော်မူမည်လော။
And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also cause the righteous to perish with the wicked?
24 ၂၄ ထိုမြို့ တွင် ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူငါး ဆယ်ရှိ လျှင် ၊ ဖျက်ဆီး တော်မူမည်လော။ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူ ငါး ဆယ်ပါသောမြို့ကို သူ တို့အတွက် မ နှမြော ဘဲ ဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူ မည်လော။
There are perhaps fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not forgive the place for the sake of the fifty righteous that are therein?
25 ၂၅ ထိုသို့ ပြု ၍ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူတို့ ကို မတရား သောသူတို့ နှင့်တကွ ကွပ်မျက် ခြင်းအမှုသည် ကိုယ်တော် နှင့် ဝေး ပါစေသတည်း။ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူတို့ ကို မတရား သောသူတို့ကဲ့သို့ ခံ စေသောအမှု သည် ကိုယ်တော် နှင့် ဝေး ပါစေသတည်း၊ မြေကြီး လုံး ကို စီရင် တော်မူသောသခင်သည်၊ တရား သဖြင့် ပြု တော်မူမည် မ ဟုတ်လောဟု လျောက် ဆို၏။
Far be it from thee to do so, to slay the righteous with the wicked, that the righteous should be as the wicked — far be it from thee! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?
26 ၂၆ ထာဝရဘုရား ကလည်း ၊ သောဒုံ မြို့၌ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူငါး ဆယ်ကို ငါတွေ့ လျှင် ၊ သူ တို့အတွက် ထိုအရပ် လုံး ကို ငါနှမြော မည်ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
And Jehovah said, If I find at Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will forgive all the place for their sakes.
27 ၂၇ တဖန် အာဗြဟံ က၊ အကျွန်ုပ် သည် မြေ မှုန့်နှင့် ပြာ သက်သက်ဖြစ်သော်လည်း ၊ ဘုရား ရှင်ကို ယခု လျှောက် မည်ဟု အားထုတ် ပါ၏။
And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have ventured to speak unto the Lord; I, who am dust and ashes.
28 ၂၈ ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူ ငါး ဆယ်တို့တွင် ငါး ယောက်မ ပြည့်လျှင် ၊ ထိုငါး ယောက်မပြည့်သော အတွက်ကြောင့်၊ ထိုမြို့ လုံး ကို ဖျက်ဆီး တော်မူမည်လောဟု မေးလျှောက်ပြန်သော်၊ ထို မြို့၌ လေး ဆယ့်ငါး ယောက်ကို ငါတွေ့ လျှင် ၊ ငါမ ဖျက်ဆီး ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
Perhaps there may want five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city on account of the five? And he said, If I shall find forty-five there, I will not destroy [it].
29 ၂၉ တဖန် တုံ၊ ထိုမြို့၌ လေး ဆယ်ကိုတွေ့ကောင်းတွေ့ တော်မူလိမ့်မည်ဟု လျှောက် ဆိုပြန်လျှင် ၊ ထိုလေး ဆယ်အတွက် ငါမ ပြု ဘဲနေမည်ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
And he continued yet to speak with him, and said, Perhaps there may be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for the forty's sake.
30 ၃၀ တဖန် တုံ၊ အိုဘုရား ရှင်၊ စိတ် ရှိတော်မ မူပါနှင့်၊ အကျွန်ုပ် လျှောက် ပါရစေ။ ထို မြို့၌သုံး ဆယ်ကို တွေ့ ကောင်းတွေ့ တော်မူလိမ့်မည်ဟု လျှောက် ဆိုပြန်လျှင် ၊ ထို မြို့၌ သုံး ဆယ်ကိုငါတွေ့ လျှင် ၊ ငါမ ပြု ဟုမိန့် တော်မူ၏။
And he said, Oh, let not the Lord be angry that I speak! Perhaps there may be thirty found there. And he said, I will not do it if I find thirty there.
31 ၃၁ တဖန်တုံ ၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ထာဝရ ဘုရားကို ယခု လျှောက် မည်ဟု အားထုတ် ပါ၏။ ထို မြို့၌ နှစ် ဆယ်ကို တွေ့ကောင်းတွေ့ တော်မူလိမ့်မည်ဟု လျှောက် ဆိုပြန်လျှင် ၊ နှစ် ဆယ်အတွက် ငါမ ဖျက်ဆီး ဘဲနေမည်ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
And he said, Behold now, I have ventured to speak with the Lord. Perhaps there may be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy [it] for the twenty's sake.
32 ၃၂ အိုဘုရား ရှင်၊ စိတ် ရှိတော်မ မူပါနှင့်။ သည် တကြိမ် အကျွန်ုပ်လျှောက် ပါရစေဦး။ ထို မြို့၌ တ ဆယ်ကို တွေ့ကောင်းတွေ့ တော်မူလိမ့်မည်ဟု လျှောက် ဆိုပြန်လျှင် ၊ တ ဆယ်အတွက် ငါမ ဖျက်ဆီး ဘဲနေမည်ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
And he said, Oh, let not the Lord be angry, that I speak yet but this time! Perhaps there may be ten found there. And he said, I will not destroy [it] for the ten's sake.
33 ၃၃ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် အာဗြံဟံ နှင့် နှုတ်ဆက် ခြင်း အမှုကုန်စင် ပြီးမှကြွ သွားတော်မူ၏။ အာဗြံဟံ သည် လည်း မိမိ နေရာ အရပ်သို့ ပြန် လေ၏။
And Jehovah went away when he had ended speaking to Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.
